I was ready to pounce on this and the two new pre-orders. I reminded myself last night and when I woke this morning. When that 1pm ET (10am Pacific where I'm at) hit... I forgot.  :-X But 2 hours later when I was reminded of the pre-orders after seeing related threads here, I was able to order without a problem. <relief> The world is (almost) OK again.

Hasbro needs to smooth out their real person verification setup. Like many, I had to jump back to the main page and redo the buying steps. It was a little hairy for a while, thinking an item (or all) would be snagged out of my cart before I could pay. I genuinely appreciate their attempt at purchasing fairness, though.

Not so with most of their buying steps. It was clunky at first, but after months with no improvements, I would classify it as LAME.

The $140 is definitely a shock. I thought it'd be $110-$120, just slightly to moderately higher than the e-wing. But I figured with all the crazy prices due to a whole bunch of reasons over the last 5+ years, the $140 would be in line.

I plugged in $110, the price for Merrick's x-wing from 2019, into an inflation calculator. Sure enough, $138 in today's prices.

(I recognize inflation isn't the only determinant in a product's price, but, eh...)

Picked up a couple of Plazir-15 Bo-Katan at Ross for custom fodder. (There was also a Fern and 4x Andor for those into into Black Series.) I figured I'd try my luck at another Ross on the way home. Nadda. Oh, well.

I got the email from Amazon for Teva, too, which was strange because I thought I bought it from Entertainment Earth. When I checked EE, sure enough, I had also picked up the case, but that still shows a July delivery. Let's see if they end up changing the date.

edit:
Just noticed the emails from Amazon about the delay for Hunter and Merrin.

Same. I got tired of repeatedly checking Disney's online store to see if they replenished. We can't always expect Rob to overpay on the secondary market just so toys flow freely our way.   :P

Coming from the I.T. side of the world, I'm really surprised that a corporation as big as Hasbro maintains as uderwhelming a website that HasbroPulse.com is. Not expecting anything super snazzy: show what's available; what you missed out on :P; what's on order; order history; secure payment options; meaningful updates.  It's almost as if its upkeep was contracted out at the lowest level of service.

That aside, this 3-pk is a pleasant surprise and another winner from the design team.

5000!?  Wowza. I'm readying for a move. Random duplicate figures turn up in every non-collection box and nook-and-cranny like tribbles. Impressive how well you've organized 5000.

If I only I waited... C'est la vie.

Short interview with Tony Gilroy on Hollywood Reporter.

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/andor-finale-twists-tony-gilroy-interview-1236212162/

On Kino Loy's absence, Gilroy said anything he wrote bringing back the character would have minimized Serkis' performance and what they accomplished in S1.

Gilroy sees the sister being more valuable as a "deficit" in Cassian's life. Voids in Andor's life drives him and Gilroy didn't want to fill that hole.

Gilroy assumed Andor was merely repeating the phrase "rebellions are built on hope" from previous movies. His son, a Star Wars fan, said it was never uttered that way, so Gilroy wrote it in as something he picked up from the hotel clerk.

Reminds me of the recent Easter bunny astromech.

I totally forgot about this, also, until several hours later. Lots of "real" world distractions. Maybe in a week things will calm down enough for me to go ape shi*. 😃

The Kenobi still lists as "low stock" but when clicked on says "sold out". I'll check amazon. Wasn't there when I initially check.

I first tried at 10:15a pacific (1:15p eastern) on Hasbropulse. The Adventure set was the first I ordered. (And got.) I figured there'd be a lot of OT buyers. Nick, all we can wish is other people enjoy our toys.  😜 Hahaha.

13
Which one of you took the last Kenobi and 3-pack?   >:(

I guess I got to keep yrying and hope they're back in stock.  :-\

Watched about half of this interview with Tony Gilroy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7h3bT0TMeVs

Hard to believe he only took on "Rogue One" because it was a job (ie, not a geeky fan wanting to touch the Star Wars galaxy) yet was able to immerse himself in the lore so deeply to craft these wonderful stories.

Read somewhere that Andor s2 is his last foray in SW so he could move onto other things. But, hey, as they said in another franchise, never say never.

I forgot that Kenner Hammerhead wore blue. The set is a buy for me. Now I don't have to repaint extra figures to get modern day versions of the POTF releases.

Bring on TVC figs of the Uzay bootlegs!
