You can buy spray adhesives (aerosol cans) that work very well.  However, you need to spray in a well ventilated area and you should lay out a bunch of old newspapers becuase the spray will go wider than just your paper.

I hate to be the master of the obvious, but have you tried turning everything off and starting the PC back up again?  I've found that many of my device not responding problems are corrected after an "electrical labotamy"

Wow, A'Sharad looks amazing.  I've been thinking about making someone like him (at least a Tusken Jedi or Sith).  Thats a great use of parts.  I wish I would have picked up more than on Sith Evolutions Pack!!

Photonovels and Movies / Re: RE #20 - FINAL HOUR

Chewie, looks great!  I really need to go back and read the other entries.  Since I'm so new to Photonovels, I'm not really sure I can critique.  I really like the effects that you put in this one (like the glowing colors in the scenes with torture droids).  Keep up the good work.  I'd definitely have to build up my quantity of customs to bite off a project like this.

Both of those guys look top notch.  I really like the trandoshan, good use of parts.  The paint job on the Mandolorian looks amazing.

The Mandolorian is looking really good.  Anxious to see the final piece.  When you sculpy the arm back into place, I'm assuming you lose joint flexibility?

Star Wars Dioramas and Displays / Re: diorama-shadowbox tips?

Hemble, that Indy Dio is Sweet!  With something like that, how much is foam coar?

You guys are definitely inspiring me to branch out.  I've recently acquired a number of Jabba Palace figures.  I'm wondering if I should attempt a diorama.  I don't think I necessarily want to start with such a large project.  Better cut my teeth on something smaller first.

I finished up the KISS band tonight.  I just couldn't leave Gene Simmeddas hanging by himself.

Introducing the hottest KISS cover band in all of Coruscant:

I love the image of the dead guy holding his helmet!

I wonder if there is any way to make the Kama look a little more ragged?  It seems to be too much in one piece for a guy that only has a skull under his helmet.  Obviously, thats a minor thing and these figures look breath taking.

So New Question of the week.  Explain the difference between dry brushing and washing as painting techniques.  Can you provide examples of when you would use one or the other.  I think I know the answers to these but I'd be interested in seeing responses from the veterans.

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Adding Body Parts
« on: February 3, 2006, 04:10 PM »
The Splitting torso thread made me think of a question, but I didn't want to hijack that thread with my question so I started a new one.......

When you are adding body parts (such as legs or arms) that were previously removed (boil and pop).  How do you replace the new ones.  Do you use the same boil and pop routine?   I've tried that a little with limited success.  The torso splitting question made me wonder if its easier (preferred?) to split the torso and then attach the new limbs that way.  Thanks in advance.

Look for Photoshop Elements (now at version 4.0 I believe).  If you shop around I bet you can find it for $50-75.  Its great software.  It has all the primary functions that an amateur digital artist would need w/o the expensive "full functionality"   Its really great.  I've stopped using photoshop in favor of this.

Collector's Tips / Re: Storing Loose Figs
« on: February 3, 2006, 11:12 AM »
I'm thinking about getting some of these plano boxes.  How many loose figures can you fit in each one (assuming standard figures and now squishing them too much).  I've got most of my figures big rubbermaid tubs and I'm worried about the long term squish factor.
