No word on it being backwards compatible...  Blech! :(

Anyway, new consoles are coming too fast...  The Nintendo one's at least gonna be backwards compat, but I'll still WANT the new X-Box one...  Then again it says it's making gameplay a multi-player focused thing, which isn't good IMO.  Ditching AI and story for MP gaming is taking away an adult focus since (and this is just my personal experience) a lot of the folks online gaming against each other tend to be arrogant kids.

There's adults trying to mix in there, but they're much fewer in numbers.

I hope it's not a negative to SP gaming I guess...  To me, that's what gaming is all about, having a satisfying experience with a good game/storyline you can immerse yourself in.  Things like KOTOR, or Jedi Knight...  Those were games you got lost in when you played.

I enter SW online contests for ***** and giggles, I never expect to win. Though one time I won a C3 Vader from some website. What was its name... :-*

BOOyah!

Good having another Canucklehead on...  I'm sure Dale will be in to greet you soon!  :)

Vintage is something I've stepped out of for so long...  Mostly because of the new movies/SE's giving too much of a spike in the prices...  I really want to get back into it though beyond my passing "buy a figure here and there" attitude I have right now.  Need to start picking off the boxed vehicles and playsets I think.

Anyway, I'm rambling...  good to have you on here at Jedi Defender...  Any questions or anything, just hit any of us up, we're glad to help, and we hope you have a good time here...  It's a tight, but big group of friends we've got rolling here at the site.

I tend to skip them over myself...  I don't know why.  I guess I just havent' had much luck winning things so I tend to bypass them.

However, Jedi Defender is giving away a Lava Vader!  [/end shameless plug]

Uhm, I have 10...  Counting my LOTR EE set and SWSE DVD set...

*sigh*  :(

I will say, I want to buy up more Hammer Horror films and stuff like that (Vincent Price flicks, etc.).  When I found out they were on DVD I was all like, hell yeah!

EDIT:

Oh and I just noticed your sig Jamie, that about made me do a spit take.  Definitely worthy of quoting.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Jedi After Episode 3?
« on: May 12, 2005, 06:46 PM »
I thought it was good...  I couldn't read it on my screen, though I could vaguely see writing....  That works though I guess.  Gotta remember that.

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: ROTS Screening
« on: May 12, 2005, 06:44 PM »
I'm just thinking how neat it'll be to see it 2 nights in a row, more or less...  I'm on SW sensory overload right now.  It's not even funny really, I'm just all amped up about this stuff.

Can't wait...  Getting antsy!

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Could you possibly make a good Mace Windu?
« on: May 12, 2005, 06:42 PM »
Yeah, it'd be really nice to see some "Collection 2" styled main Jedi here later in the year...  Though part of me just hopes for Evolutions Assortments of some of them too, or at least Obi-Wan, but I'd take a "Jedi Evolutions" set.

A human child padawan, a human jedi knight, and a Mace Windu Jedi Master...  I'd milk that Evolutions series for every penney it could produce.

Other Collectibles / Re: Target SW Gift Card. You get one?
« on: May 12, 2005, 06:40 PM »
I've still yet to get a Target card with the light-up saber.  Kinda bummed I missed those now because they are quite nice looking.  I'd love one given the experiences I had on 4/2...  A nice momento. :)

« on: May 12, 2005, 04:21 PM »
I got a little good news...  Heard I may get to see it a day or two early at a private screening.  That'd be kinda neat I think...  I'm still doing the VIP thing at our Loew's Theater for the midnight show though...  That's going to simply be insane!

I've seen all the prequal films by myself at midnight, actually, and now I'm gonna have a whole area of my buddies with me.  Should be a fun time.

Feedback / Re: DoctorPadawan's feedback
« on: May 12, 2005, 04:08 PM »
Add me to Dr. Padawan's happy list.  He helped me out with a few figures, one in particular, that I really appreciated, and he was very patient (hah...  Dr...  patient...  Anyway) with me getting him payment.

Thanks Michael, you rock!

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: My first customs (Clones)
« on: May 12, 2005, 05:01 AM »
That's good work man...  Very smooth painting, and from what I can see there's minimal brush strokes left (if any), very straight/smooth lines...  You did a goodjob.

Clone repaints are kind of the Astromech of the new generation of customizers I've noticed.  At one time, repainting an R2 was how people really got into the hobby.  It's that leaping board people needed to see that they can make their collection that much more diverse than what Hasbro will do for them...

Clones have taken that role now it would seem, and it's nice to see new faces giving things a try.  Hopefully you start getting into the more advanced stuff then like head/part swaps, and the like.

What was it Obi Wan said?   "You've taken your first step into a much larger galaxy...."  :)  Customizing consumes you!  You wanna check out the more "advanced" stuff, just stop by www.FFURG.com or check other people's work out and get inspired.

Toy Reviews / New Review: Feltipern Trevagg
« on: May 12, 2005, 04:56 AM »

This guy's a freak, and you gotta love that!  Hasbro fleshed out some of the most obscure figures in plastic form when they unveiled their "Cantina Wave" to us, and boy did they make many a die-hard collector happy.

Three Cantina aliens all at one time, and now I review the final figure from that fantastic wave, Feltipern Trevagg (Cantina Encounter)!

Read The Full Review Right Here, and as always I appreciate any feedback, comments, opinions or whatever if you'd like to share.

Basically, I liked the Cantina wave overall, even Dannik Jerriko, but part of me thinks I gave him props because I know I can fix him too...  Otherwise he's somewhat a letdown.

Feltipern won my heart as maybe my favorite figure of the wave though, with his fuzzy head, vibrant (and clean) colors, great articulation (all things considered), and what I think is probably the most accurate sculpt in the Cantina overall.  Hasbro knocked one out of the park as far as I can tell.

The figure's great, but read the full review to judge for yourself...  I recommend this wave to everyone though if you don't have a set.  They're the kinds of figures we put up with 10 horrendous efforts from Hasbro just to get this little bite of how good that company CAN be when they want to.  They make collecting worthwhile. :)
