Hey Anthony, welcome over to JD...  Any friend of Matt's, and all that stuff...

Have a good time, make fun of Matt all you want (and his sweaters of bright pink), and take it easy.

And you're allowed back in the store Scott?

That's nice of them.

He just has Dustin continuously hit us with their standard form banning e-mail, with no reasons included whatsoever.

Wow!

So should I thank Dustin for not clogging my email box then?  Because I didn't even get the courtesy of a letter, haha.  :)  I was just not allowed in one day...

I dunno Dustin from a hole in the ground to comment on the guy...  I am sure he's just "doing his job" as it were so I try not to be too hard on him.  He's perhaps just loyal to his boss...  Plus, I think it's not Dustin's job to handle Phlip's work.  It's obvious he was the one who was involved in this, made this decision, and his lack of communication is what I have no respect for.  He's old enough, and experienced enough (I'd think) to know better than that, and to handle things in a better manner more befitting a man of his age/stature.

Like I said, my biggest disappointment isn't being locked from a site I really didn't have much interest in anyway.  I learned to live w/out after 1 day, it's all good.

My disappointment was in a man I had some respect for, who I thought better of overall, and in finding out that he wasn't anything I imagined.  I was, simply, disappointed in Philip, and that's that.  He's welcome to do as he pleases though, and I'm welcome to look at it and judge it as negative when I know I'd not have acted/reacted in the same manner.

I too am a businessman, a Star Wars fan, and at least am a staff member (just not running the show, but Chris allows us all to have a voice as clear as his own) for a SW site that sees its own fair share of traffic daily.

I know what I'd have done, and I know it wouldn't have taken any pointers from my experiences at Rebelscum.

Well Sgt. Flint, welcome aboard here too...  lots of new faces, so I'm sorry for late "hello's" and apologize if I miss anyone else.

Welcome to the site!

I'm Sgt. Rock, your drill instructor.

Hey Matt,

Welcome on over, glad to see you.  I'll have you know that I have the entire video games section devoted to Force Commander and its raw greatness in holding together the RTS genre for Star Wars gaming single-handedly.

:)

After reading my quote, I don't mean to sound like I was gloating that I gave that kid the Tarful either, as it really was the more generally right thing to do...  Sorry I sounded that way (I need to proofread).  I just thought it was actually funny...  Didn't want a pat on the back though.

If you'd have heard his, "Oh man!  Yeah!!!" after his mother asked if he would want "this guy that is like a Wookiee" that I handed to him/her...  it was funny as hell really.

I'm hearing lots of other figures out...  Lotta guys said TRU had some higher # figs like Mas Ameda and that around here as well, but Target and WM really seemed to drop the ball on getting those other figs.  They had like the first 24 or so mostly.

Yeah, I've been hesitant.  I'd assume though you could use your invoice if you wanted to redeem for the figures...  At least I guess that's what you'd have to do.  :-\

Hey Kailos,

My first Casette I ever bought, I swear, was Weird Al Yankovich's "Dare to be Stupid".  Been a fan ever since!

I have seen him in concert when he's at Pittsburgh...  One of the truly great artists of our time, though many would disagree.  I think they can't see past the humor to see the incredibly intelligent, talented, musician that Weird Al actually is.

Collection 2 Mace Windu with the Agen Kolar Robe reused?

I'd be all for that Scott.  :)  A new Mace with a perhaps superior sculpt (hide those shoulders dammit), but I'd buy him all over for that.  I'd buy 2 of him for that actually.

Holy cow Adam!  haha

Those were non-existant here as near as I could tell.  I've not talked to the local guys yet to see if they've found them.  I didn't though myself.  Sorta bummed because WM was the only other place I went.

I'm wondering what the figs are to be like in the set then.   :-\

Revenge of the Sith / Re: RotS Figure Impressions?
« on: April 2, 2005, 08:35 PM »
i'm pretty content.  Some things are better than I had hoped, and others are about what I expected.

Deluxe figures were a bit "meh" to me...  I did get Greivous though, and he's rather interesting, and fairly poseable too.  A SA Greivous with 4 arms that actually folded into just the two would have been better, especially if the feature could've been kept, but it's ok.

Most other deluxe I'll wait on though, save for the Clone Specialist coming up.

Basic Figs I got:

-Blue Senate Guard (x2)...  This guy kicks a lot of ass.  My gripes would be that his pistol's squished, and his rifle feels like it's made from the same material as a condom.  Beyond that, a fantastic army builder.  No Red Guards in my haul though.

-Count Dooku...  FANTASTIC figure.  Very nice and I love his left hand doing force moves.  He's real close to being a flawless figure.  Wish his saber blade came off and hitched to his belt though.

-Alya Secura...  Another great figure.  Can hold a saber with 2 hands (I wasn't so sure when I saw her arms).  I'm not wild that her arm articulation is limited, especially the left, but she's great to me.  Far superior to her Saga incarnation....  Speaking of, I wholely now expect to do a Geonosis Arena shelf to put my old Saga Jedi on.  I appreciate the pre-posed figs NOW more than I did before.

This is why Hasbro NEEDS to articulate figures like this.  I think it only enhances the pre-posed one's value to people.

-Ki-Adi Mundi...  Holy hell, he rocks.  His ankles make him a little tougher to pose than some (boil/freeze may fix that), but either way he's great.  His robe is one of the best in the modern line, period.  I love putting it over his cone like he's out in the field fighting the war...  Maybe on a rainy world somewhere.  Just neat to get that.

-Clonetrooper...  Better than I imagined.  The waist articulation does bite, and I think simply a SA Clone sans feature would've sufficed.  He does have 2 guns though, and he's incredibly poseable and sturdy.  Great figure.

-Tarrful...  Sucky weapon, bad articulation (I don't get it really, he looks like he has articulated knees but he doesn't).  He's probably my only disappointment, but he's still not horrid.  He's average, and for the Saga line he'd have been pretty good actually.

-Mace Windu...  Sink the shoulders in and he's damn near Dooku quality.  His leg articulation bites though of course, and those shoudlers are awkward.  His sculpt is better than I thought, but he does have a shine too.  I dig him for what he is.  A poseable Mace.  His feature's not bad either.

-Luminara Unduli...  More Jedi greatness, and in a gausey skirt!  Very poseable, very cool.  Can't complain.  I don't think her saber hooks to her belt though.  :(  I dunno why some this feature is there and others it isn't.

-Lava Vader...  He's an exclusive...  He looks nicer than I thought, but if i wasn't a completist I'd have slept in Saturday morning.

The tip was appreciated Bill, I think it potentially did help some folks out.  Good news there.

I didn't even go to MM so I had no hope there...  Not been to the Pitt forums to see what the guys got in their hauls last night, so I need to pop in there.  I've been draggin' all day so no time spent online really.

Thanks for that heads up again though, that was mighty kind.  Catch ya at Bob's room party most likely, or at the PSWCS table at C3.  I'll be at the FFURG table some.
