Dear Hasbro,

Please make us a 3.75" action figure scale AT-TE.

We are in desperate need of one so that our Republic Forces have a wicked vehicle to blast away at the Separatists. With it, we could recreate the awesome battles of Revenge of the Sith.

Go ahead and pack it full of cool play features if you must (for the kids), but really do it up right.  Thank you.

Still a Rumor at this point, but the little birdies are singing...

Sounds like there will be a Holographic Anakin of some sort at TRU this summer/fall.  I imagine it will be a lot like Yoda where you buy something and get it for free or just buy it at Amazon.

Now the question is will it be a Holo Anakin from Ep3 (from a certain naming ceremony  ) or will it be more of a Spirit of Anakin from RotJ DVD?

Anyone else heard this through the rumor mill?

Anyone else get this yet?

It showed up in my mailbox yesterday, but I didn't get around to opening it until today... 

While the "Ewok Animation Cel" I got last year sucked (mine was just 3-4 blue and pink bubbles  ), at least it was a great idea to give us a unique collectible that you weren't going to get any place else.  This year's pack is full of "free stuff" aka advertisements and is pretty boring IMHO.

I got this "free stuff":
- Form Letter from GL (thanks for all the money, sucker!  )
- Hasbro "dangler" - aka a paper mobile like you made in 3rd grade arts and crafts
- Episode III LEGO poster - actually pretty cool poster
- Code 3 T-shirt iron-on - would be nicer if it didn't say www.code3.net across the front of it 
- WotC Mon Cal mini - already have him...
- Vader window decal - ok, I guess
- Official 2005 Star Wars Fan Club membership card

And then these advertisements:
- GG Bust-Ups trading card - lame
- Sony Ep3 Soundtrack trading card - lame
- $50 coupon for Code 3 - lame
- 20% off coupon for SW Blinds - lame
- Darth Vader Check advertisement - lame

OK, so I did like the LEGO poster, that was kinda cool.  Also, the free WotC mini was nice, but I already have the Mon Cal guy. 

Other than the window decal and the membership card, everything else was a direct tie/advertisement to some licensee - Hasbro, LEGO, GG, WotC, Code 3, etc - and was trying to sell me something SW.

It would have been nice if they could have passed out "Droids" Animation Cels or something else lost in those vacuous LFL vaults.  I mean, it's nice they gave us something, but it just would have been nice if it was more than just ads for SW stuff...

Wow!  I love the new main page skins!  Vader and the Imperial March - ooooh.     Gen Grievous and the Droid Army music is groovy too!

Lotsa new pictures in there hidden amongst the character bios and story and planets descriptions.

Definately worth checking out, especially the new backgrounds taken from the upcoming Movie theater posters and such...

OK, since this is bigger than just NFL or MLB or the Olympics, I thought I'd get us rolling on this topic in our new Sports Forum!

So, in recent 'Roids news, the US Congress is trying to get baseball players to testify on the subject:

MLB leaders plan to fight subpoenas

Do you think these guys should have to testify on the subject?

Is it in baseball's best interest to never find out if Bonds or McGwire or Sosa were on steroids?   


I don't know how I feel about it.  If the players did it, it kinda sucks, but then again there was no testing for it - who knows what the right answer is?

Anyone started reading this one yet?

I don't normally enjoy the made-up EU stuff, but I do tend to enjoy the filler "prequel" books they've done.  I liked the "Approaching Storm" which explained the events leading up to Episode 2, and I really liked the "Cloak of Deception", the Episode 1 prequel book.  Both did a great job of dropping you off at the starting point of the films.

Anyway, I had a chance to page through the book at B-n-N this weekend, and it loooked pretty good.  I have really enjoyed other SW books that Luceno has done (The NJO Agents of Chaos Duology as well as the aforementioned Cloak of Deception) and after previewing it in the store, I'm definately picking this one up. 

I couldn't bring myself to pay full price for a hard cover, so I passed on it at the store and just ordered it from Amazon.com today (can't beat 35% off cover price and free shipping since I picked up a few other books  ).

Anyone else considering reading this book?
