Yeah, I can't believe Hasbro didn't make a clone armor Obi while they had the chance.  Why make another E2 version?  And again in the animated line.  Sheesh.

You don't have to edit yourself, dude.  We're all just voicing our opinions.  Mine is yours was a little snarky.  No harm, no foul.  And the paint job on Boromir's head sucks.  And he is the TTT card version, just with bad paint apps.  He's worthwhile mainly for the new accessories and custom potential.

A bit snarky there, Cory.   To each his own.

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Distribution of Clone Wars Wave 3

I saw it only a few times in the last few weeks, and the Clone Trooper only once.  Unless there's a pile of these waiting to go to KB, Hasbro didn't give this wave (or line) a real chance.

Ooh, wish lists.   ;D

Everybody has great ideas.  I would include:

Eowyn (White Lady of Rohan)
Amon Hen Aragorn
Smeagol / Deagol 2 pack
Gandalf the Grey resculpt

I found King Aragorn, Armored Pippin, Harad Archer, and the 'new' Legolas today.  All cool, although the Archer's head comes off a bit too easily (fits right back on.)  Legolas is sans Rohan Armor save for his sword, which comes off no problem, so you have an easy Amon Hen/ROTK Leggy.

It's passable as a figure, and Hasbro deserves credit for finding ways to keep core characters fresh, but he doesn't do it for me.

Today I got some holiday cash from assorted relatives and will go out tomorrow to spend it wantonly.  I'm still after ROTK Gandalf the White.  Sigh.

I've just got the one and I've put him through just about every pose imaginable.  I prefer him with the rifle, and I even gave him a lightsaber and a cloak and pretended he was Obi Wan for a while.  He's the goods.

No SW unfortunately.  I think this is the first year since '95 that's happened.

Tolkien (nor Jackson) never intended a gay subtext to Frodo and Sam's relationship but clearly some people are finding it.  This isn't exclusive to LOTR, and I think it's a case of what you bring to it.  I personally don't see it (more concerned with Eowyn).

Saga '02-'04 / Re: RUMORS FOR 2004!!!!!!

Qui-Gon give me hope we're going to see a new E1 Obi or possibly even a E2 robed Obi.  Both of those are overdue.  I don't know about Han At-St.  If they throw the helmet in with a trench coat, ok, but this was never a figure I really wanted.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Star Destroyer Wave
« on: December 22, 2003, 06:32 PM »
This wave is not as exciting as some of the previous ones, but still, these are all good figures.

Bossk I don't know was necessary, but Hasbro has crafted a figure superior to the still great POTF2 version.  I'll wait to decide on him until I see him in the stores.

Dengar is much needed, however, and looks good.  Not "Oh my god!" great, but good.  And he has a backpack.

Ozzel is boring to me, like Dodonna or Capt. Antillies, but I'm glad he's being made and like Jesse said he will give birth to armies of Imp. officer customs.
