The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens (SPOILERS)
« on: December 18, 2015, 01:52 AM »
Terrific, not perfect, but then none of them really are. I'd love to know how much Mark Hamill got paid for those epic 30 seconds.  :D

I had more than a few questions but still need to let it sink in.

Daisy Ridley was effing amazing!

Wow...currently 98% positive on Rotten Tomatoes, universal critical acclaim?  Lets see if it passes the Fanboy test

The dork at Rebelscum seemed to like it.   :D

Its is entirely possible the movie is that good. I'm so happy these will be part of my kids' childhood experience and not those wretched prequels. At 8 and 10, they are at the perfect age, IMO.

Please don't ruin Rom or the Micronauts.  :-\

“JJ did it,” comedian Patton Oswalt tweeted.

“It was epic, awesome and perfect,” added Rainn Wilson.

That's all I needed to know, if there was any doubt.  ;D

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: The Phantom Menace: Was it That Bad?

Yeah, good point...I was thinking more of Anakin, in any of those movies. Just horrible. And Samuel Jackson was terrible too. IMHO.

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6" Black Series Rumors

At last! Worth the wait, unless they decide not to include the regular gold arm to swap out. That would be weak sauce.

I honestly think the PT will look ten times worse after this week when everyone sees how incredible the new film is and how it hit all the right notes that were so disastrously ignored the previous go round. (far less CGI, better actors, etc)

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: Walmart 6" Imperial Shock Trooper
« on: December 11, 2015, 09:16 AM »
I saw a couple of stores finally restocked these last night so I dared the 10:30pm trip to Walmart and was rewarded by finding a full case still on the pallet.  ;D

Finally, officially caught up with everything for 2015 toys. Now to start shopping for everyone else... :P

That was completely brilliant!

I got my order yesterday, the day after I placed it. I was amazed, I wish I could order every figure from Walgreens.com.  ;D Great experience! I really like the figure too, better than the original, IMHO. Looks great in the blacklight too. I love that sculpted skull under the dome!

Yeah, seems like a good time for me to bail on this line. I'm still mad they never re-stocked Darth Maul.

Why is it companies cant figure out more product means more profit?

Damn, for 58 and a half minutes that was the best episode ever.

And then they had to go and ruin it.

Damn you Hollywood writers!

Other Toy Lines / Re: Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. - by Boss Fight Studios
« on: December 8, 2015, 11:22 AM »
Yeah, the Legends of Cthulhu figures would be another good comparison. That started out as a Kickstarter campaign too and the 4 basic figures still hover around $20 each many months later. I didn't have a problem with it because they are very well done and I appreciate supporting toys from a property I really enjoy. But no question it would be hard to keep up with if they were cranking stuff out as regularly as Hasbro.

Star Wars Rebels / Re: Star Wars Rebels Toy Rumors!
« on: December 8, 2015, 11:15 AM »
No better place to stick this, but I saw a recent report about a 12" Fifth Brother figure. This was a pleasant surprise as I assumed Hasbro/Jakks were done with larger size Rebels figures. I liked the previous ones, wish they had seen fit to do Sabine or Hera.
