Started rewatching Rogue One again last night to try and figure out where they might go with the final arc. One thing that is apparent is that Cassian has spent some amount of time already on Jedha before R1. He knows who Baze and Chirrut are and what conditions are like in the city, etc. So that seems like something they might explore.

It also seems like there has been some kind of break with Saw and the rest of the Alliance that is more profound than anything hinted at to this point. So that could be a focus as well. I’m still mad we never got to see his dudes in any kind of real action. Hopefully that is coming.

As far as the supporting cast, I assume we won’t see Bix again. Not sure about Wilmon, or Vel. They don’t necessarily have to revisit either of them I feel like. Luthen and Kleya and Dedra are really the only characters who seem to need some kind of resolution.

Re: Cassian and Syril, I am reminded of that Thulsa Doom line from Conan “I am the wellspring from which you flow”

Literally every good thing Syril has in his life is because of Cassian. if not for him he would still be stuck in that dead end security job alone and unfulfilled. 

I went back and watched the Secret Cargo episode of Rebels in Season 3 which occurs right after the final episode of this latest arc. It dovetails pretty nicely, Erskine is even there, which I had forgotten. They do mention something about Bail arranging her transport but that makes sense considering it was the original plan. And same actress doing the voice work, too.

Figure we are at the point if I see any 6” figures on sale that I need I should probably jump on em. Grabbed Luke the other day when he was briefly at $18.99 and picked up Dagan tonight for $21.

Anything new about the Sandtrooper?

I managed to watch them all last night too (the 3 new ones I mean) and enjoyed them but came away with a lot of questions.

Why is Dedra on Coruscant and Syril on Ghorman? Shouldn’t she be on the planet she is now overseeing?

What the heck was that thing Wilmon gave Saw? And where did we hear about Rhydonium before? Was it Rebels or Bad Batch or something? I knew it rang a bell somehow.

I read this morning that Gilroy did try to get Jimmy Smits but the scheduling just didn’t work. I hate recasting but Benjamin Bratt was a pretty awesome choice.

Seeing Thomas Eichorst again from The Strain was also a welcome surprise. What a great actor that guy is.

Loved the way the whole arc ended too!   #CLOSURE
