Other Toy Lines / Re: The Walking Dead

Looks like all the WD building sets have gone on clearance at Target and Walmart. I picked up a few more prison cells for $6.48, and Dale's RV for an astounding $14.98!

Looking forward to starting a cool diorama with all these next this year.

Made a flurry of toy runs the past 2 days in the hopes of finding another Snowtrooper and a Hux with better eyes. Ended up finding (and buying) another TIE Pilot, another Asty, and 2 more Shocktroopers. I finally did find a lone Snowtrooper on the pegs at Walmart too, so that was nice.

Apparently there is an "unpainted neck" Snowtrooper variant I need to track down now as well. Both of mine have the proper painted neck.   :P

The Black Series 3.75" Figures / Re: Walmart Black Series 3.75" Wave 3

I finally found this whole wave today after work.  :) I only grabbed the 3 from the new movie, but the paint apps were all spot on I'm happy to say. And they look great!

Just when I'd moved on and decided not to worry about these, I wandered into a TRU last night and found all three of them.  They had a few of each.  I'm perfectly happy picking up exclusives at normal retail prices.

Awesome Rob, glad you found these!

I finally caved and picked up the Rocky Horror figures off eBay for $9 apiece shipped. The only one not available was Frank, so I went onto Gamestop's website and found one at a local store they are now holding for me.  ;D

Curious now if/when we will get a whiff of any new product from these guys in 2016.

Lemmy of Motorhead  Ace of Spades!

Holy ****! How did I miss this? Should have been front page news everywhere!

Although I was never keen on his fondness for Nazi memorabilia, his contributions to metal are undeniable. Eat the rich!

I found the Hux/Asty/Snowtrooper Wave today too - at Walmart. I was beginning to think we were in some kind of weird toy vortex here, since everywhere else seemed to be getting these at the same time. I really like Asty, the Snowtrooper is sort of meh after getting the TRU exclusive, and Hux' face is just plain weird.

Been a busy few weeks for this line - I love it though!

I saw this Yakface FB post about the 6" scale Special Forces TIE Fighter being on sale at Target stores for $49.09.  Has anyone here been able to get that deal?  I hope it's a widespread sale, and reports from numerous stores would certainly be encouraging.

There is no sign of that sale anywhere around here. And I have been looking everywhere  >:(

I wish they would honor their other stores' clearance sales.

I was happy to have caught the episode last night. The "raining blows" line always cracks me up.  :D

I found this whole wave at Walgreens over lunch today.  ;D They were on an endcap SW display up front, not in the regular toy aisle. Still no sign of their exclusive Vader figure. #Fail

I walked into TRU today and found a single B&W Frankenstein hanging on the pegs and after poking around I also found a single B&W Wolfman as well. Those were the only two they had, which was perfect because those were the only two I needed. These worked out a lot better for me than I initially expected.  :)

Also bought Leatherface for $10 off eBay.

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars: The Force Awakens (SPOILERS)

No - the back story is that apparently they moved the senate from Coruscant to Chandrilla, and then from Chandrilla to Hosnian Prime - the Hosnian system is the one that got fried, which Poe mentions. Coruscant is safe.

Thank you, I do remember the Chandrilla bit from Aftermath, but wasn't aware it had moved again after that.

Was the Republic/Resistance totally unaware they were building this massive planet sized weapon? One would assume that would take many years to complete. Seems like a hard secret to keep.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but am I right to assume Coruscant was one of the Republic planets destroyed?

I think the MVS/Kanan theory is brilliant!

Palpatine's holo was an enormous floating head in ESB...

Yeah, good point, that occurred to me right after I posted that. I still hope he's big. Nothing hokey about that IMO, it's more of a stretch to imagine every single alien race be the same relative size and proportion IMHO.

I missed that Han called Kylo "Ben" at the scene on the catwalk. I heard him say something but didn't catch it. Interesting.

Anyone else have a small stroke before they realized Snoke was a hologram and not a giant?

That was pretty cool.  Well done special effects.

I'm kinda hoping that Snoke turns out to be the size of Yoda.

No, I think he really is THAT big. Holograms are typically the same size as people in the SW Universe, or smaller. We have never seen them bigger but I suppose it is possible. I think it would actually be cool if he was that big.

I get the First Order rising from the ashes of the Empire, but I don't quite grasp the differentiation between the Republic and the Resistance. Once the Republic was re-established, what is there really to resist? It seems as though the FO got chased out to the Outer Rim, which fits with the Aftermath storyline.

WTF was up with the lightsaber "calling" to Rey and the nutty visions she had? That was fascinating. I'm pretty sure they showed Kylo gutting Constable Zuvio in there, but I can't be sure. (Not like the guy popped up anywhere else)

I love that they are still finding weird new ways to use the Force. Stopping the blaster ray was a true Oh Snap moment, and the mind reading stuff was creepy. (Imagine if Darth Vader could have done that, no need to blow up Alderaan he would have known instantly where the Rebel hideout was from Leia)

If they had wanted to kill Phasma they would have just shot her. She will be back. I still cant believe she never took the helmet off.

The Guavians looked cool as hell. I kept wondering if the Asian guy was the dude from The Raid.

I liked the Parkman from Heroes and Miles from LOST cameos. :)

I was lucky enough to find the TIE Pilot and "Resistance Trooper" on the pegs at TRU this morning on my way into work. Great way to kick off the day!
