Yeah, it's weak sauce for sure. When they switched to the Shadows of the Darkside packaging back in 2010, 15 of the first 19 carded Clone Wars figures released were straight repacks. They always seem to frontload the line like this with a reset.

I could see them trawling out 14 figures for the first two waves of the year, and then 5 more figures in a separate wave to keep us all occupied from April-December.  ::)

Three whole waves for this what the Mayans were talking about?

I'm not feeling the love for Movie Heroes, all of a sudden.  >:(

Meh, you can only blame the idiots that run Hasbro...I almost want to see the movie based swag become an utter failure so they are forced to rethink this dubious marketing strategy.

Those movies are old. 3D is not going to reinvent the wheel. There's just not the "wow" factor that they are going to get from kids into the animated line.

And for like the millionth time, just because you can't afford tooling doesn't mean you can't still give us new figures. Repaint, repaint, repaint.

They could blast out Ziro, another Aurra Sing, more astromechs, and Clone Troopers out the wazoo with practically no new tooling needed at all. I could come up with another 19 "new" figures easily that way.

Sad to think this line's best days are behind it now...

Hells yeah, picked up both Walmart exclusive Deluxe sets at lunchtime today!

Super-psyched to have these, and I'll never be ungrateful for new product, but they sure seem like kind of a sloppy effort. I picked through 10 of these things to find 2 with half decent paint apps. Buzz in particular seemed a little error prone. Might want to inspect them before choosing.

But this was a great find, and likely the last store purchase for 2011, unless those MIA Walmart DVD sets show up.

Well, I finally bit the bullet and pulled the trigger on this thing. Amazon has it up now for an eye-popping $39.99 with free shipping. That is too good to ignore. Throw in the fact that I had $2 laying around on an Amazon gift card I had to use, and bingo, done deal.

That's less than half price! I would pounce on that price if I saw this in a store. So I figure what the hell. I've waited long enough. I can't see them ever getting much lower than that, but who knows.

I see they also have the Mando Shuttle available to order...for $69.99!  :o

Wow, I watched Fri night's episode having no idea there was a new one last week. I can't believe I spaced that, I guess I assumed because of the holidays they would take a week off. Luckily I was able to watch both back-to-back via On-Demand in HD, so I am all caught up.

Couple of things stood out to me:

That was probably the coolest sequence ever involving a BARC Speeder in last week's ep, actually made me want Hasbro to release yet another of these, only with rotating sidecar with gun mount. That was really well choreographed.

Yeah, the ROTJ teases were pretty cool, not too over the top. Agreed that there were a lot of great toys from this arc so far we will never see. The Queen, the flying Zillo beastie, Ahsoka in Slave Garb, the Slaver ship, etc. So many missed opportunities!

More and more, I am convinced the Jedi come up with some really half-assed sloppy plans. It's typically the same thing every time, some simplistic feint that goes awry and forces them to rely on their awesome powers to cheat death and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. (After a lot of wasted time and needless suffering by everybody)

Brilliant plotters they aren't.

If you want to see some craaazy prices on eBay, check out some of those Palisades Muppets prototypes. Yikes. I loved that company, sucks that every license they touched pretty much went down the tubes, except for the Aliens/Predator stuff.

Is this a national thing?

I stopped by a store this morning and they had absolutely no signage or any kind of advertising up for this deal. The one employee I asked claimed to have no idea what I was talking about.

I went to 3 different Walmarts late last night trying to find the new Deluxe sets. I usually find it better to stop by the Walmarts at night because they bring out the pallets of new toys you can pore over.

They each had between 4-6 huge pallets of new toy boxes, mostly Hasbro and Mattel. I saw Power Rangers, Thundercats, new GI Joes, lots of NERF, Beyblade, Transformers. But not a single SW item outside of the electronic helmets and lightsabers.  ::)

LOL, the fact the Skins even got a draft pick for him is freaking amazing. Nice job, Bruce!

The "Scud Farkus" marathon actually starts Christmas Eve.  :D

Ken Russell died yesterday...

Lair of the White Worm was freaking awesome...he will be missed. I wish more directors would take a page from his book.

I agree it was somewhat of an odd choice, it's not exactly an iconic vehicle by any stretch. I appreciate that they tried something different with the playset features too, lackluster as they may be.

That said, I am a hardcore completist and have felt barely any interest in picking this up. Oh, I definitely will at some point, but after the first couple of weeks it became apparent these weren't going anywhere and a serious price reduction would inevitably be coming.

I'd bite for $50 from a brick and mortar...I can't see buying something this big and having it arrive unscathed from any online joint, especially HTS.

Damn, I was psyched to get this thing back in April when it first came back up. But this latest price is insane! It's a fantastic toy...I recommend it highly to anyone who may be on the fence.

It's weird to me now that these were going for such crazy jack on eBay just last year. Sometimes it does pay to hold out.

I don't see why they need my email address to cast a vote. So I will not be participating. Sorry, Kneesa!
