Did not watch it, but Dave's review sounds about like what I expected.

Despite all the hype, this thing smells a lot more like "Rome" or "Tudors" than "LOTR". Lots of scheming, political machinations, talking. Not so much dragons, magic, elves, wizards and such.

I bought a couple of TCW figures at TRU Friday with the buy one get the second 1/2 price deal and promptly returned them both to Target with an old $7.99 each receipt.

Instant $4 profit...not too shabby.

Picked up a carded Kea Moll over the weekend.

Getting ready to move so probably time for a self-imposed moratorium on purposes requiring shipping. Dangit.

Commander Jet already! WTF?

Not complaining about any line-up with Sugi though, that is pure awesome-sauce.

Agreed the BP's sound too good to be true.

Another strong effort last night, can't believe next week is the Season Finale already. Then again, I like the short seasons. There's nothing worse than a show treading water just to fill out the schedule. (Office, Family Guy, etc)

Picked up a carded, unpunched Wicket to complete my Ewoks collection. I'm officially done with this line - woo hoo!

DROIDS uber alles!

Ugh, busy fortnight, picked up a carded Dulok Scout, as well as a carded Thall Joben and a carded Jord Dusat.

I love these crazy animated figures.

They're part of the same line, nothing changing.  Prices could go up or down I suppose of course, but they're just future waves of the Deluxe Fig w/Vehicle line is all.

Yep, future waves...the first of which was supposed to have been out last month.  ???

Considering Jesse was about 4 months late to the party, I figure we may see that next wave with Castas, Boba and Grievous sometime around SDCC.

Pete - glad you found your Jesses! I may have an extra if you need it, I am up to 3 now but I had to put one up for auction to try and mitigate the price raping I was forced to endure. Don't think I want any openers either...

Ugh, another 7.4 Magnitude quake off the coast of Miyagi this morning. What an ordeal for those poor folks.

I don't think anything over 7.0 should really be considered an "aftershock". Freaking buildings were shaking for over a minute in Tokyo.

I love the flame war this jerk has started with Damon Lindelof.

Picked up a minty-boxed Tri-Fighter at Target over lunch to replace my slightly dinged one from HTS.

I came across the Droid Gunship at a different store but the box was even worse than the one I already have.

Some great figures in there to be sure, but that numbering seems sketchy. I mean, how far off are they going to push Savage Oppress? Not to mention Aayla, Hondo, Commander Jet, etc.

Seems like those waves would put us well beyond SDCC. And the Oppress arc was way before the Citadel.

Good stuff though...

I thought they ended on a great high note. The episodes never felt dull or tedious and there was a genuine sense of pathos.

I thought Chewie came off fine. You can't go wrong using Peter Mayhew really. Ahsoka continues to grow and impress. What happened to her lightsabers though? Did she drop them on Felucia or did the Trannies get them? Would have been nice if she could have recovered them from the wreckage.

The finales are usually good toy fodder episodes and these should be no different:

The Hover Pod is a no-brainer, I just wonder if they would do it proper in the midsize vehicle line or try to squeeze it down to the Deluxe assortment. I'm guessing the former. Pretty sweet with the big gun and the hand-painted deco.

Trandoshan Battle Pack - Dar, The Main Dude, and maybe 1-2 other nameless thugs with big guns. Oh yes.

Wookie Battlepack - Just because they can. Chewie repack and some repainted commando wookies. Check.

Sugi, yes Sugi. That was her giving the Wookies a lift, and this was at least her 3rd episode so far. You gotta give us some Sugi, Hasbro!

Bounty Hunter Assault Ship - Also the 2nd or 3rd appearance now. Aside from the Jedi T-6 shuttle, there's not a lot of other good candidates for vehicles in the line right now. This is a great one. It's been done by Lego already too. I'd rather see it in the Deluxe ship assortment, done right with some heft and scale, but that would probably push it out to next year if at all.

Agreed it was an uneven season, but there were some great episodes in there and I for one loved the Mortis arc for trying something different and "out there". The scenes from next season looked pretty awesome too - underwater Mon Calamari battles!
