Well, that was damn fast. My Toy Palace order actually arrived Saturday, just 8 days after I placed it.

I love this thing, just for the sheer weirdness. Not only is Obi-Wan's fighter a pre-TCW sculpt, Grievous' fighter appears to be too. I didn't notice that from previous pictures.

I am now officially, 100% caught up with everything Clone Wars related with the exception of the Boba Fett UBP which has not arrived here in town yet.  ;D

Not much of a score, but I finally picked up the two folding cardboard inserts to keep my Land of Jawas' Sandcrawler upright. That only took about eight months.  ::)

Slow going right now otherwise.

I found this set this morning in NJ.

Awesome, congrats dude!

(...contemplates mileage from VA to NJ...hmmm)

Actually, even if I found this thing right now I could not afford it. The Epic Encounters UBP has used up all my discretionary income until the next paycheck.

These (ROTS wave) are starting to hit on the west coast.

Blurb on the front page says PA too...which lucky bastages found them there?

Might be a good weekend for a road trip!  ;D

I don't know, this one is really confounding me. From the RS pic posted today, it really seems like it might be a slightly different R2.

I guess I will have to pull out one of my old ones for comparison. I don't have a good recollection of this figure.

As a diehard TCW completist, I am strongly opposed to this. Keep the lines separate. It's bad enough they put L8-L9 and the Hawkbat Battalion trooper in the realistic line. I am STILL trying to find both of those. It makes it really really difficult for completists to insure they have everything.

I don't know why Hasbro feels the need to try and cross-pollinate the TCW line with the other stuff; it does just fine on its own. I don't think they need to spend any more energy trying to appeal to the Vintage/Legacy collector market.

Plus, IMHO the stuff just doesn't look good when rendered in a non-animated style. That old "realistic" Durge they put out was horrible...looked nothing like the character from the Tartakovsky series.

What exactly did Curto say? I don't do Podcasts and they seem reluctant to transcribe...

WTF?!?! Why have I never heard of this before? It's an AWESOME idea.

I tried to sign up too but apparently it is too late.

That's a lot of free swag - congrats!

To quote Mark Twain "The difference between the right word and the wrong word is the difference between lightening and a lightening bug."

As long as we're splitting hairs, the actual quote is this:

“The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug.”

I picked up a loose complete Jabba at Chicago Comic Con, along with a loose complete Dewback and a sealed boxed Vehicle Maintenance Energizer (say that three times fast).  There were lots of vintage goodies at the con (including a boxed mint Droids A-wing - only $720) but I had to pass on a lot of it.  It was cool just to see some of it.

I would have slapped whoever was selling that A-Wing and told them to take a peek at eBay to see how wildly inflated that price is. Those things are EASILY scored in original packaging for far less than that.

Stopped by TRU when they opened this morning to hunt for the Boba Fett UBP. There were none on the pegs (yet) but I did see another Obi-Wan w/BARC Speeder, which is the pack-in with the Mando Speeder set I have been searching for fruitlessly.

Not anymore!  ;D

Turns out the guy I know who works there stashed one for me in the back when he saw them out this past weekend. Sweet. So he brought it out for me and I bought that sucker immediately. Nice score, love the set. Even though it looks like my guy has 2 left legs and the pistols are both bent sideways.  ::)

There are some nice new carded and loose pics of Vos up on Yakface now...

3133
Thanks Jack, I was just able to find this on the TRU website as well, apparently a new listing, no photo yet:

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4020324

Item # 492296
SKU: 1284FA63
UPC: 653569513674

It's listed as "Star Wars Ultimate Battle Pack Vehicles"...$109.99, yikes!

3134
I found this in the Chicago burbs thanks to a tip from a friend, so it's starting to trickle out from the West Coast. They only had one on the very top shelf.

Here is the kicker: luckily the last one that they had had a price tag on it for $99.99. TRU rarely has price tags on their merchandise, so when I went to pay it rang up for $109.99! I showed them the price tag and they adjusted it to $99.99. So do not be surprised if you find this at that price, hopefully yours will have the tag mine did. The box is slightly smaller than the AT-AT but it feels light. I literally just got home and will open later, I will shoot some pics. This time I have the right number so you guys can find this too.

Congrats dude, that's awesome. Can you also post the Item # and/or UPC when you get a chance? Thanks!

3135
I have a jpeg of the order form but can't figure out how to post it here. Will try later when I have more time.

I sent away for this yesterday...had to buy an extra Camo ARF Trooper just to get the fifth UPC. Kind of a waste, but oh well.
