Sony brings Marvel into the Amazing World of Spider-Man

I'm not sure what that means? Amy Pascal just got fired so this seems like it would be up in the air to some extent now...

I guess the Troop Transport is starting to hit @ TRU now...so the Hunt begins.

Looking forward to the Ezra/Kanan set...the TIE Fighter/Stormtrooper set looks like simple repacks of the single carded figures though. That seems like an odd choice so early in the line. Would rather have had some Imperial Officers in there...

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: The Walking Dead
« on: February 9, 2015, 09:05 AM »
Well, I so, SO called that one a few weeks back. Still sucks to see [that character] go, although it has seemed clear for awhile now that [his/her] story has been pretty much told. The writing was on the wall when [he/she] was just cast for another show too.

Top 5 places you do not want to space out:

1) Job Interview

2) Public Restroom

3) Performing major surgery on the operating table

3) At the controls of a Malaysian Jet Liner

4) In a house that has not been cleared after the zombie apocalypse

Hurry up and get to Arlington, peeps!

McFarlane Toys is holding a fan vote - Which character from AMC's The Walking Dead do you want to see in series 9?

Yes, been a lot of grousing about that poll aroumnd the internets. When it first went up you could vote as many times as you wanted, and from day to day there would be wild swings in the first place candidate. Just rife with impropriety. They eventually took it off line and tried to clean the thing up a little, but it still seems dubious.

At any rate, I voted for Beth and it looks like she and Lori are the top vote getters. That makes sense because it would be a real long shot to get any of these characters made otherwise going forward. (T-Dog would be nice too, but not as good as Beth. Lori would just be straight up boring. Did she ever even kill a walker? Never liked the actress or her character, so this is not one I am pining for)

Oh, and they also announced a slew of new TV Series and Comic Series figures recently. Dale Horvath (at last!) was confirmed too! Also they have another flashback wave in the works with Plaid Shirt Rick, Flu Walker, and Bandanna Grave-Digging Daryl.  ;D

Vintage Kenner / Re: Storing your Loose Figs

My vintage Dagobah and Death Star playsets seem to indicate that foam does not age well. It also bonds to plastic and is heat sensitive. I would be reluctant to put that stuff anywhere near my figures, but maybe that's just me.

Lucked out and found the rest of the Rebels 2-packs I needed last night @ Target, so I am all set as far as MOC and openers. I can now resume hibernating until the Imperial Troop Transport starts showing up.  ;)

Awesome Jeff. That commercial was indeed an abomination. Whoever thought that would be a good ad to run during the Super Bowl should be clearing out his desk this morning.

Second dude who should be fired was whoever picked out Katy Perry's wardrobe. Way, way too many clothes.

And then Pete Carroll. Oy vey!

Time to knock some dust off this thread. After putting in a lot of quality time at area Targets the past few days, I was able to score 2 Wookie 2-packs last night and a Sabine 2-pack this morning.  ;D

No sign of the Vizago 2-pack, but a fellow collector found one for me across town this morning apparently. Definitely want some openers of that and the Sabine pack.

It seems clear they are getting partial cases of these just like the single carded figures. Really hate that, could have been done with the whole wave after 2 stops instead of all this piecemeal nonsense.

Like both guys but don't think either is a good fit for this role.

Commence the thawing of River Phoenix!

Yes! I would like the cancelled Clone Wars R5-P8 to show up as well.

So true about stirring the pot.

Clearly that seller was indicating that the "MONTH" cannot move. So he probably was just referring to the release date.  :D

The Black Series 3.75" / Re: Retail Prices/Sales/Discounts
« on: January 28, 2015, 08:56 AM »
I just don't understand the logic of raising the price ONLY on the Black Series 3.75" collector line. Why would that line specifically be the one to bear the brunt of the re-pricing? I don't see them raising the price of the 6" line or the Saga Legends stuff, or even the vehicles. (Not complaining, mind you...)

It does sort of remind you of that girl in high school who wanted to break up with you but didn't have the nerve so she just started acting like a total bitch to force you to break up with her.

Supposedly it is not a prototype, but it does belong to an overseas collector. I'm almost tempted to buy one from Viperskingdom just to see what shows up.
