Wasn't the Donkey wheel the thing that Jacob's brother was building to get off the island? Did Jacob finish the project for his brother?

Yes, it's unclear who finished it though. If I recall, it was actually Esau (Man In Black) who advised John to turn the wheel a few seasons back, albeit disguised as Jack's Dad. You have to think at least Jacob knew about it...

I saw another ad last night for the finale that clearly showed the wheel being turned, so I'm thinking we'll see it again.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: General Vehicle Discussion Thread

Nice photos, loving the new Interceptor deco.

I'm wondering about wave/case assortments for the vehicle line come August though.

At one point, the new tank was listed as Wave 1 - "early August", along with the Droid Gunship and Xanadu Blood. Then Toyfair came around and there was no mention of the Xanadu Blood or the HMP.

By my count, we have at least 5 new TCW vehicles coming this Fall, including the Swamp Speeder and Plo Koon's Starfighter, plus the ones listed above. I'm guessing these will be split into at least 2 waves, along with the obligatory repacks.

If anyone has more detailed info about the individual waves or tentaive schedule, I'd love to know.  ;D

Hmmm, maybe they'll revisit the Frozen Donkey Wheel?

I appreciate Chuck and I'm sure it's a good show, but I'm not inclined to jump in at this point. That thing is living on borrowed time anyway.

I did watch HIMYM once upon a time, but the $%@#& writers ruined it for me and I had to stop watching. One of the only shows I have ever consciously quit watching because I was so aggravated. "Slapsgiving" was awesome though.

24 has ruled my Mondays for as long as I can remember...going to be different.

Per Hasbro's standard for mail-away offers: "Your exclusive **** figures will be mailed to you approximately 6-8 weeks from receipt of your redemption request"

Yep, I know...they have 15 days left to comply with their own deadline in my case.

What they DON'T say is "If you fail to receive your figure after 8 weeks from the check being cashed, please contact our direct customer service hotline at xxx-xxx-xxxx and we will rectify the matter immediately".

That would be helpful, especially if their Fulfillment vendor is unreliable.

Finally sent away for my 2 last week and both checks were cashed today.

Now....the wait.   :)

Good luck with the wait...my check was cashed April 9th and I haven't gotten anything yet. That's six weeks as of tomorrow. 8 is the limit. Wonder who I can complain to at that point?

Sorry, but that guy's art just plain SUCKS. He is NOT good. Nothing against him personally, but what I've seen of his work is complete garbage.

SO happy V is coming back...there are plenty of issues with that show but it has a lot of promise and is an easy way to kill an hour. Kind of the opposite of FlashForward, where every episode feels like an agonizing three hour prison sentence.

I mean, I like FF, but it's sort of a love/hate relationship. It's pretty inconsistent...the problem with having a show with multiple plotlines unfolding simultaneously is that some of them are inherently going to be more interesting  and so the pacing becomes very uneven over the course of a season. (see: Heroes)

I think FF would have been much better off focusing strictly on the uber-arc and eliminating all the worthless tangents with Cancer doctor, the whore wife, etc. That crap just dragged the show down terribly.

Overall though, the show was just not very enjoyable. I wanted to like it, but it always felt like more of an obligation than a treat to watch. The timeslot sucks too...that should have aired at 9pm or 10pm at least.

On the plus side, at least Baltar got another paying acting gig for awhile.

My prediction: Jack stays on the Island with "Locke"...with the way their two characters were at odds through the entire series it seems to fit.

Desmond will merge the two realities so Sun, Jinn, Charlie and even Penny's half-brother will still be alive.

Good call. Jack is the most tragic character on the show, IMO...fitting he would be the one to take over for Jacob.

Far and away, my favorite thing from last night was FINALLY seeing that upptiy Widmore b*tch got her throat cut. MY GOD, what an annoying little weasel she was. Glad to see Widmore catch a few in the chest too - good riddance.

Where is Des though? How is he the failsafe exactly? And why would Ben stick with Locke, especially after he told him he would give him the island but later contradicts himself by admitting he is going to destroy it?  ::)

Pierce is getting busy with Logan's ex. Or was until she died I think.

I actually thought it was more powerful showing the aftermath than the actual mayhem at the Russian Embassy.

I'll miss this show. With this out of the way and Heroes mercifully put out of its misery, my Monday nights are now free next year.  ;D

Isn't that what it was?  That's what I thought it looked like to me in the toon.

It's supposed to be an sub-neural antenna grafted to her head. Depending on which source you reference, the color varies.

On the Premium Format Sideshow figure, it is clearly differentiated from her natural chalky skin tone.

On the show, it was colored white. In the films, it's really hard to tell if it's even there in most shots. On the figure, they made it a lot thicker too.

Anyway, Plo Koon chopped it off, so it's sort of a moot point I guess.

Nice shots of loose figs from this Wave on the front page.

Aurra's antenna is starting to bug me though...looks like some kind of weird growth from the top of her head. Wish they had slapped a different paint app on there.

Finally snagged the branding iron and support hook for the Jabba's Dungeon playset. (They were missing from the one I bought on eBay a few months back) Pricey replacement, but a relief to have this out of the way.

I think I've learned my lesson about buying incomplete playsets, ultimately not worth the headaches.

Why haven't I been visiting this thread more often?  ???

I guess at some point I got tired of talking about TV and started to prefer just watching it. (Blame LOST)

I'm a 24 fanatic since Day 1, never missed an episode live.

Last season felt more exciting to me somehow, but a lot of that was due to their layoff in the wake of the writer's strike. Plus it was just good to see Tony again, implausible as it was.

This year? Meh. The threat level just doesn't seem terribly ominous. When the stakes aren't as high, it's hard to replicate the same level of urgency I guess. There have been a few great scenes though. Executing Starbuck has to rank in this year's Top TV moments.

Plus we got DB Sweeney and Michael Madsen this year...awesome.

Any guesses as to how it all ends next week? Figure Jack has to live if they are really serious about transitioning to films. Not sure what would really constitute a surprise ending at this point...

So how much longer til I get my Nahdar Vebb delayed shipping card?  ::)

Those a-holes cashed my check SIX WEEKS AGO, and I've gotten jack shiite.

Hasbro's fulfillment house just plain sucks.
