If I buy this and get a free Kul Teska, and then return the UBP, do I still get to keep the figure? How would they enforce that? Just subtract the list price of that item from my return I am guessing?

Yeah, excellent catch...I was racking my brain this morning trying to remember where that deco originated. "Grievous Intrigue" - good stuff. Definitely some interesting tweaks to the basic Clone sculpt here. I like.

Well, so much for that.  :'(

This was the best thing I have seen all year on TV, and I am totally going to miss it. If we really have to wait a whole year for new episodes that is going to suck.

Pretty good ending, would have liked to have been left with at least an inkling of where things are heading though.

Seems like at this point, your best bet is to hunker down, find a safe place and wait. They've already noted the zombies are starving, so a few more months and they should have degraded to a near inert level of activity. (the muscles will simply atrophy with a lack of nutrients I would expect)

The scenes in the CDC were mostly good, although again, you've got Joe Scientist standing there and still no one asks how it got started? Where was Ground Zero for the outbreak? I figure at least Rick would have been curious. We're still lacking a lot of key, basic information I feel like.

I still don't get Shane. They continue to show him alternating between noble and despicable, to the point where it's hard to grap the character's moral center. Is he just a good guy slowly going over the edge? Or something darker?

And how does anyone buy that "I must have scratched myself while sleeping" schtick? COME ON.

So why exactly does crew-cut lady have a grenade in her purse? Just thought it might come in handy later? And you weren't worried at all about keeping a potentially unstable explosive device inches from your daughter?  ::)

Did they forget all about Merle? Or the black guy and his son?

Best line of the night:

"That door is designed to withstand a rocket launcher"

"Your head ain't!"

It wasn't great...  I agree with McMetal though that Robonino's partner was pretty cool.  I'd dig picking a figure of him up sometime if they made him, which they will not.

He reminded me of one of the species from Knights of the Old Republic, and I'm wondering if he actually was intended to be that species.  The similarities seemed vast.

Yep, his name is Chata Hyoki and he is indeed a Selkath. Good catch.

I think he would make an outstanding figure too, and I do think this could happen. Hey, if they can do Seripas they can do this guy. Plus you've got the whole cross-property appeal of the video game stuff. (Marketing synergy, as the suits would say)

RE the show:

the two most interesting things to me were the final scene with Palpatine and the reference to Mina Bonteri's death on Raxus.

hey Galactic Senators - ever heard of bodyguards? WTF? You people just stroll around town with no security? You deserve to be beaten!

I don't see how Hasbro can keep claiming TCW is strictly a kid's line when the show is obviously not being aimed at kids anymore. LFL has to be pushing those storylines...I can't see any other explanation.

TCW uber alles!

I'm only into the animated stuff really. The only non-TCW stuff I buy are weird offbeat things based off of Droids or Ewoks. (Like the new Wicket or the Boba Fett/BL-17 2-pack)

Has anyone spotted this Wave at a Target or TRU yet? I am getting severely beaten down hitting multiple Walmarts every day looking for a better carded Vos and Cato for openers. It's been a good 3 weeks or so now that these have been in circulation, that's a pretty good head start for one giant retailer over another. When are the other guys going to catch up?

Around here the wave hit all at once, one case per store, and sold through almost immediately Thanksgiving week. All of the stores that had these here have since restocked 2-3 times but never put out any more Wave 5 cases - just more of Wave 4, revision 1.

Heck, it'd be nice if HTS would restock these already. Any excuse I can find to stop hitting stores this time of year is worth it.

Somehow a Phase 1 Dark Trooper MOC showed back up at the local TRU...I have seen it the past few days and finally pulled the trigger. I picked up a TCW Ki-Adi to take advantage of the 2 for $9.99 sale, and will be returning that to Target for $6.99 courtesy of another existing receipt. So I end up with the Dark Trooper for about $3 plus tax...not too shabby.

I hit every Walmart in a 40 mile radius yesterday and not a one of them had restocked any TCW Wave 5 figures. I saw at least 3 stores at night with huge pallets stocked with toy boxes, but all the Hasbro TCW ones I saw were W4R1 (Embo, etc). Looks like it may take awhile to score that mintier carded Vos and Cato for openers.

Would have liked Aayla Secura in place of Bariss, but it's also a good sculpt. Her cape looks a tad bulky, probably because of the material, but it's alright, I guess. To answer someone's question above, no, it's not based on her animated appearance, but on her Ep.II appearance.

Sure is confusing based on their picture choice...WTF?

I don't recall that outfit but I probably blinked and missed it.

Lando Calrissian arrested for murder?

Dude IS a scoundrel...

"Senators Padmé Amidala, Bail Organa and Onaconda Farr attempt to rally the senate against a bill that would appropriate funds for millions of new clone troops – with disastrous financial consequences for the Republic."

 ::)  ::)  ::)

Not only boring as dirt, it's boring and repetitive. Haven't we seen this already? Like 2 or 3 times now? This exact debate?

On the plus side, Robonino is back tonight too!

Ridiculous...clearly that guy has not been paying attention to other recent auctions for this figure. If that thing was mint and AFA graded he might get that much, but even then it would be a stretch.

$300 is closer to the right price range for this thing right now.

Picked up the elusive Death Star rope via eBay this afternoon. Think I'm all squared away on that playset now. I've actually got the thing assembled right now, crawling with TCW figures: Embo and Shaak Ti versus the Undead Geonosian, etc. Looks wicked.

Got my sights set on the Vintage AT-AT now...last piece I need to complete my collection. (Aside from a few miscellaneous parts which will come in time)

Aw yeah!

Wow, nice end-around on the Writer's Guild...I'm sure they will love that.

I would prefer Darabont just write the whole thing and not even bother with freelancers. Better to have 1 guy that is consistent and knows what he is doing than a rotating cast of hired hands just looking for their next paycheck.

Otherwise it'll just end up like some godawful trainwreck like Heroes.

Apparently all of the writers for the show have been fired...

Link? This is news to me...

While we're on the military angle, the more I think about it, the more implausible it seems that the zombies would have just overrun everything and wiped out all the armed forces. They're slow and stupid, and even in vast numbers completely unorganized and ineffective as a serious fighting force. I mean, right off the bat - they can't climb or swim, at least hardly at all, and while not prone to exhaustion they do get weaker and starve, and utterly lack coordination or sophisticated motor skills. (I know they climbed the stairs in the dept store but I mean like scaling a wall or a fence)

I just think it would be relatively easy to defend against a largely immobile enemy like that. Lay down a heavy suppressing fire, fall back with the flamethrowers and aft incinerators, or whatever the current jargon is, and just let 'er rip. Any kind of fortified compound should be easy to defend I would think.

Now if it were Aliens or Predators - different story.
