Yeah, it was awesome...except for the glaring lack of Carol/Cheryl. And what about the crazy doctor? The supporting characters on this show are unbelievable.

I hope they play up that Cyril-is-crazy thing all season because that was some funny stuff.

"**** you, Switzerland!"

Saw Gree and the Utapau Clone on the pegs at Wally today. Gree's visor was funky looking, not sure I liked it. Looked like the cards were unpunched at one point too.  :-\

They got Pernilla August to reprise her role as Shmi on tonight's episode. Nice.

If there's one thing they can do with this coming Chosen One arc, it's to finally right a ridiculous wrong from the films and establish Anakin's true parentage once and for all.

Seriously, that immaculate conception crap was just too asinine for words, IMO. This is an excellent opportunity for them to ret-con that into an actually sensible answer. (And none of this midichlorian junk - they only non-insemination explanation I will go for is the one about Darth Plagueis "creating" Anakin's life force within Shmi, and even that is a real stretch)

Why did they have to age regress the characters to teenagers? That is asinine...Cheetara barely looks legal.

And please don't have another African American do the voice for Panthro...that was painfully racist.  ;)

Hallelujah! First score of the new year...a full set of TCW 2011 Wave 1 on minty cards. Knocked 'em all out in one fell swoop. Target had the hook-up.

Captain Lock, BARC with Jesse - you are next!  >:D

I scored the perfect trifecta today: I found new Clone Wars figures, I found all of them, and they were all on minty cards. Game, set, match - done. Doesn't get much better than that!

Obi-Wan's head looks a little too small but I do think it is a much better rendering of the animated character.

My general feeling is that they are all pretty cool in their own way, but none are overly spectacular. A good filler wave.

Thanks to Target for making my week!  ;D

MY TRU still had two of each on the shelves today, or else they sold through and restocked already.

I still find it absolutely amazing that even to this day TRU has never stocked one single ROTJ figure.

I found what appeared to be most of this Wave last night at Walmart, so it has officially hit here on the East Coast now. It doesn't seem like there is much activity in the Store Reports section lately, so hopefully people start getting out there again and looking for this stuff. Zam looked pretty sweet, the winner of the lot IMO.

Does the ship have any lights or sounds?

Yep, according to the accompanying text from the site it comes with about 6-8 different sounds/buttons, along with some flashing red LED action.

Looks like the package refers to it as a "Republic Attack Ship"...but you can only just make out the corner. I'm hoping some full-on shots will emerge as this will be a good clue as to the scale and possible price point. I'm guessing $60-$70...anymore would be pushing it.

Would be nice if this would throw this guy up on the website, but I guess that is asking too much.

Did anyone ever even see Jodo Kast on their website?

Republic Attack Ship image from UK Toyfair

Csillagok Haboruja!!!

Pretty cool, although they kinda got the front ramp wrong. (no perforations)

Would love to see a close-up of that guy, looks like an all-new sculpt.

Great find, Jayson.

Human Torch news...

At least it wasn't the obvious choice - Sue.

Did this schmoe ever get his life together, marry, have a kid, etc? He must be in his fifties at this point, I hope he put all the adolescent schtick aside and grew up eventually.

See you in a few months/years when the writers run out of fresh ideas (again).

Let me know, I am a Silver/Golden Age FF Diehard...I have every issue from #6 to the last issue John Byrne drew, when my interest officially died.

I have been trying to pick up the last few issues I need the past few years but they are prohibitively expensive.

The whole thing is a cheap farce and purely marketing driven. I'm really glad I got out of comics because the landscape today has just changed so much.

But attending a big Belgian metalfest ( is certain! I mean, Ozzy, Zombie, ATR and Foreigner! Hell yeah!

Awesome, do yourself a favor and catch Arch Enemy and Amorphis' sets too. They appear to be the two best metal bands on that bill.  8)

I've sort of felt the same, at times, about Cad Bane - as cool as I think he is.  It seems like they really want to make sure you know these new baddies are "bad ass" or something.  I can understand either of them being good fighters, and maybe even taking out some red-shirt Jedis or something, but as far as I'm concerned - particularly in the case of Bane - if they run across a Jedi the level of Windu, Kenobi, or Skywalker, they should be toast.  Same thing with Oppress.  Not only does he somewhat easily handle Kenobi and Skywalker at the same time, he also seemed to do pretty well against Dooku and Ventress, despite just "learning" the dark side very recently.  I suppose it has something to do the powering up the Nightsisters gave him and everything, but it seemed a little extreme.

Dude, I could not agree with you more, and I have railed about this often. The Bad Guys win too much on this show, to the point it stretches credulity. And seriously, we have about 20 different villains now - I don't think anyone will be traumatized if Filoni starts trimming the herd. Oppress really should have died at the end of this arc.

I though the lightsaber duel was pretty exciting, but like in every movie I have ever seen, one person sits around and waits for the other to attack. Simultaneous apprarently is not part of the Sith dueling vocabulary.

Darth Maul? DARTH MAUL?!?! AYFKM? This is so contrived and ridiculous it is beyond words. Is he gonna have his robot legs too?  ::)
