Ahhh yes, #19542...excellent!

I'm thinking there has to be more to the set than just these guys though. Maybe a couple of brain slugs? Or even a non-Zombie Geonosian would be sweet.

No idea where to post this, and I don't feel like starting a new thread, but did anyone else catch Mark Hamill on the Boondocks last night? Uproarious!

He voiced a weed dealer with a special strain of chronic called "skywalker"...  8)

Target is in a heavy state of limbo right now, so I'm guessing all the best buys would be at Toys R Us and Walmart. And TRU is having that BOGO sale again.

I'm really curious who will get their Vintage stuff out first - Target or Walmart. Will they both wait until 8/6?

The most interesting thing to me are the pics on the back indicating we are getting yet ANOTHER AAT repaint. Man, they love re-doing that thing. (Almost as much as the Gunship)

Swamp Speeder and Hyena Bomber look completely awesome though.

Sweet McMetal!  And you got the BOGO 50% off deal as well, right?

Yep, it was $11 and change for both figures total. Gotta love that! I bet the sale ends Sunday too.

Oh, I totally this point I don't feel any tension whatsoever, I kinda just find it funny. I have no doubts I'll be able to find whatever I need soon enough.

Quick update to my story from last night: I stopped by the same store this morning and talked to the guy I know who works there. Apparently after I left on Tuesday he sent an email to corporate asking what the deal was and could they stock these or not. He said within 10 minutes he got a reply stating it was OK to put these out. So they put out about 4 cases that day so what I originally saw on the pegs last night were remnants.

He went on to say he had held 2 cases back for him and myself, but these were the ones cracked open last night when that other guy came through. D'oh!

Anyway, at least now I know that they will continue to stock these as they get new shipments, so I'm not too worried about tracking down Boba. Still no sign of new Deluxe swag or the AT-AT - they do not appear to have any room on the shelves for it even at this point.

I hit up the local TRU again this morning since they normally get new trucks in on Friday. There was no new SW stock on the shelf, but then I saw the dude I know who works there and he confirmed that they got no new Vintage but did have a case of TCW Wave 1 he could bring out for me. Presto - MOC Pre and Aurra!  ;D

I am officially done with upcoming TCW swag, aside from the Deluxe sets which have not hit here (yet).

Well, I don't think it's outrageous but it's certainly beyond my means. I definitely don't think that is too much money to spend on a toy in general though.

There was another out there just like this in the past week or so, not sure if it's still up or not, but it was well over 1000 dollars as well.

I'm just lookin' for a nice loose one for around $300  ;D

So what's all this talk about Cody being a "chase" figure? Something to do with silver foil on the cardback? What's the deal?

Why did it ring up at $199?

It's all just too funny now. The right hand doesn't even know there is a left hand, much less what he is up to.

I found nearly all the remaining TVC Wave 1 figs I needed tonight at the very TRU that has been so insistent about NOT breaking the street date here. They had all the Legends and TCW stuff out too, plus the vehicles. (no At-AT)

I initially swung by after work and saw remnants on the pegs and thought "Cool" but I had to hit the ATM and was running late so I ended up going back about 2 hours later. I had hidden the 3 TVC figures they had left that I needed - Vader, 3PO, and Han. So I got there, and was in the process of walking back to the aisle when I notice a guy in the checkout line with a FULL CASE of the new TVC, PLUS another Boba Fett. I mean, he was literally holding the actual box of figures. So of course I stopped to talk to him and came to find out some pretty interesting news.

Apparently he had been over at the other TRU across town, the one that HAS been stocking Vintage stuff but is currently out, and they got on the phone with this local TRU near me and got them to bring a few cases out from the back while he drove over. (!!!) This is EXACTLY what I have been trying to get them to do for weeks now. Freaking amazing. I did notice it was a different cast of characters working tonight than the day crew I usually deal with. So maybe someone didn't know any better or something, I don't know.

They also had several pegs of the new Legends and Clone Wars figures, and the new TCW vehicles, so I don't think it was just this one guy's request that helped to open the flood gate, but who knows. Maybe the Manager at the other store told them to start putting the stuff out, or maybe the Hasbro rep gave them the green light.

I am sort of bummed that guy had to be getting a full case PLUS another Fett because he is the last figure I need now and he was so close to my grasp. But I couldn't really sweat that at the time because I was so stunned that this stuff was actually out on the pegs at this location.

I am definitely heading back in the morning to try and pick up that missing Fett because I know they got in at least 6 cases of the vintage stuff and they couldn't have put them all out on the floor yet. I also want to see if that guy I know is working there to get his take on what happened.

Sorry for the massive post, I just find the whole mess so amusing.

I will detail the circumstances in the other thread, but suffice to say I was able to score almost all the missing figs I needed from the ESB wave tonight at TRU. (Dak, Solo, Leia, Vader, 3PO, Luke)

The only one that continues to elude me is Boba Fett, and I only missed him by a few minutes.  ::)

Still liking all these guys a lot, just not sure if my interest will last beyond this wave.

Oh, and I got the BOGO hook-up so worked out to $7.50 each, not too shabby.

Hmm, they didn't care to ask how we got a Snow Speeder prior to August 6th?  ;)

Had to wait til I got home to view this...not horrible, not great. I definitely don't think it looks as sharp as the current wave.

I agree they should have treated all those guys like "First Issues" - makes much more sense, IMO.

Found a very odd case assortment of new TCW on the pegs at TRU tonight. It appeared to be a weird hybrid of Wave 1 and Wave 1.5. They were nearly all repacks, except for battle damaged Grievous, and oddly enough, the Mandalorian Guard. They had several of each so it couldn't have been a fluke.

I went ahead and picked up another guard to replace the slightly warped card I got from That completes all the replacements I needed from this wave. Now I just want another Aurra and Pre for openers.  :)

Oh, and no sign of the new deluxe sets.  :(
