What this I'm hearing about Commander Jet not shipping with this wave?

Jeff - any details? I saw the blurb on HH as well as some comments from various fan forums.

Would be a shame, he looked sharp.

None of the TIE Bombers are showing up around here at all, but there are plenty of Jabbas to be had. Go figure.  ::)

JACK - by Droid Gunship do you mean the HMP? Where did you stumble across that? Or was it part of an online order?

Lucked out again at lunch and found more remnants of TCW Wave 4 on the pegs at a Target I just hit yesterday. They only had two figures left, but unbelievably, one was Embo.  ;D I literally swore out loud on the aisle I was so surprised.

So at this point I am all good on openers and can take a measured approach on Wave 5. No signs of that so far. I don't think there's anything I need openers of there, but maybe a spare Cato.

Saw that too...I honestly don't see any difference in Anakin's costume, but whateves. Wish they had shown Asajj 2.0 as well.

Are Ahsoka's lightsabers the same length or is there one long one and one short one? That would be kinda cool if they were really different lengths.

On a related note, that WIRED article about this topic that RS has linked on their front page is utterly asinine. There is nothing remotely inappropriate about Ahsoka's current costume, no one thinks that tube top is too sexy or revealing. She's like 14 for cripe's sake! If you're getting aroused by THAT, the problem is on you, not the animators.

I found this at Target again yesterday along with the Hyena Bomber.  I decided to grab them both this time and I can/will work some receipt magic later if it is worth it.

Yeah, I had the same idea..I snagged all 4 to return the pricier ones I got at TRU, only to get home and check my receipts and realize I got the first 2 for 22.99 each courtesy of some sale or discount type thing TRU was running at the time. I did return the 2 I bought later at full price. Now I have to take one of these things back to the Target and return that too.

I'm keeping the extra Swamp loose figs need a cool ride.  ;D

Got my Death Star playset in the mail yesterday, even better condition than I had hoped for...nothing broken at all, except a small piece off the cannon, which I have an extra of anyway.

Looks like all I am missing is that pesky rope.

Getting closer!

I've never felt anywhere near the excitement for any of the films as I have waiting for the new books back in the day. That was a freakin' EVENT. I was so stoked when this installment was finally published. Now that the movie is here? Meh.

I haven't even seen the last 2-3 because I got so bitter over how much they were leaving out from the books. (Still disgruntled about SPEW)

That said, I am making an effort to catch up because some of the later stuff I am very curious to see play out on the big screen.

Still riding the good mojo...found another case of TCW Wave 4 today at lunch, minus Embo.  :(

I did score my Shaak Ti for openers though. Looking forward to tearing into her tonight. (That did not sound right)

Also saw the Wave 2 TCW vehicles for the first time at the same Target where I bagged Shaak Ti. I went ahead and bought all 4 so I could return those overpriced ones I bought at TRU a few weeks back. Although I am very tempted to keep the Swamp Speeder and crack that open too. We'll see.

No sign of TCW Wave 5, but I plan to snoop around a little more tonight and maybe find another Embo to boot.

Shocked to read this wave has been spotted already at Walmart! (courtesy RS)

Loving that new figures are out, but I kinda hate the timing...don't like when the waves are right on top of each other like this. I only just found Wave 4 yesterday!

Not only is it a sudden drain on the $$$, it means we'll have no new figures to look forward to in December.  :(

Whew, definitely made the right call on THAT one.  ;D

Scored this whole wave this morning at Target, all on minty cards, and best of all - only $6 each!

That's right, $31.50 for all 5 figures, including tax. You can't beat that with a stick, especially for figures of this quality.

I had no idea they had even dropped to $6 for TCW figs, must be a recent thing.

This is easily the best wave since the Hondo/Aayla wave. I dig it every bit as much as I thought I would, I only wish I could crack a few open but I'll have to wait until I see more.

Embo and Shaak Ti tie for winners - both came out stunningly. The Boba likeness is spot on, probably the best they have done outside of Pre Vizsla. Astromechs don't thrill me so much, but I love the carded Mandalorian.

They've really set the bar high now for this line, I can't wait to see what they come up with for next year. (Sugi? Seripas?)

Victory is Mine!

Scored the complete TCW Wave Four this morning at Target, only 1 case out, but that's fine for now. I can wait a little on my openers.

I'll share my praise in the dedicated thread, but I am pretty much psyched beyond belief with these guys.

And it's awesome being all caught up again!

The rest of this year should be very manageable for the TCW line, only 1 more wave of figures, 2 mid-size vehicles, and a battlepack. I am completely good with that...

Forget Ahsoka, I just want to see these two get killed, since they do not "exist" as of ROTS:

1) Asajj Ventress

2) Cad Bane

Thoroughly enjoyable episode on most accounts, for sure. LOVED seeing the Hutt homeworld. (Anyone catch the proper spelling?) It was exactly like what I would have envisioned.

Vos came across as pretty cool, admittedly I knew practically nothing about the guy, but they seemed to pull him off pretty well. I thought it was cool that he had a mastery of psychometry, as this is a talent we have never seen associated with the force before, to my knowledge. Where was his funky snowboard though?

Was there any reference to Ziro's father? Is he dead? The Mother was an absolute abomination, thoroughly disgusting..the creeping parasites were over the top! I'm already sad we will never get that as a figure.

Was really surprised they offed Ziro. Hasbro now has a convenient excuse NOT to make this guy, although it seems everyone wants him. Then again, it didn't stop them from making Echo, or whoever the clone was that Bane killed. It's such an easy repaint too...c'mon!

What I didn't like? More of the same that had bugged me previously.

1) Cad Bane should not be able to hold his own against 2 Jedi, PERIOD. I don't care what kind of funky weaponry or little tricks he whips out, he should have been carved up in about 10 seconds. Darth Maul was insanely more of a bad-ass and he couldn't fend off 2 Jedi. Jango went down like a house of cards. Even Dooku bit the big one going up against 2 Jedi (ok, not at first, but by the next movie). I get that they want to pump Bane up and make him seem all invincible, but they really go overboard IMO.

2) Voices, voices, voices. I guess they are just never going to give up giving ethnically, culturally inappropriate voices to characters in Star Wars, no matter how outlandish or offensive they come off. I really think this is the worst of the's cheap and tacky. ALL the other Hutts speak Huttese, but they decide to have the mother speak English?!?! With the voice of a 300 pound black woman? Seriously? And they go out of their way to give Ziro the most effeminately gay voice possible, but then we're supposed to believe he had some relationship with an alien female? Yeah, right...real ladies man there.  They just need to stop lifting accents from Planet Earth, and maybe work on creating some actually innovative linguistic patterns. Just drives me crazy for some reason. Jewish Watto, Asian Gunray, Jamaican Jar-Jar? Let it end!!!
