I went ahead and bit the bullet like Pete and ordered one of these online that I think is the English packaging version. Pricey, but probably cheaper than it would be when/if one ever shows up on eBay. (Curious this hasn't happened already)

Fingers crossed, will find out next week.  :-\

I just find it so remarkable that my local Walmarts/Targets have sold through this Wave and already restocked it multiple times in the past few weeks. These same stores cannot get a new F-ing SW figure on their pegs to save their lives.

I could have easily army built every figure from this wave, even the variants like Black CC.

That's how it is supposed to work...make it easy for consumers to purchase your product.

Ok - so here's something that doesn't make sense to me...

When the line re-launched in support of the 3D re-release of TPM - the most prominent sub-line that supported EP1 was the Vintage line. Right?

So why were the AT-AP, Obi-Wan's EP3 JSF and the V-19 Torrent Starfighter in the Vintage vehicle assortment?

Wouldn't it have made A LOT more sense to have the Pod Racer re-packs, updated Trade Federation Tank and the new Naboo Fighter in the Vintage packaging instead?

That would have freed up the regular Class 2 line to have re-packed vehicles from the END of the SotDS line - like the Republic Cannon and the Mandalorian Assault Transport.

Yep, that would have been a million times better, no doubt.

I don't understand how a company that does this for its livelihood is just so bad at it. Their creative department  is top notch, but their marketing, accounting and management just can't seem to make a good decision for the life of them.

This stupid Mando thing has now become the Holy Grail toy my collection, and based what I'm seeing online, or rather, NOT seeing, it is going to be a long time before I ever get one.  >:(

I'm definitely in for the EWOKS set, but I will be amazed if they actually call that little guy Corpsey...it's just too morbid. (I mean, not for me, I think it's awesome, but for Johnny Lunchpail and Sally Housecoat, not so much maybe)

Happy I realized just in time that last night was the return of Falling Skies. Been waiting for this forever it seems like.

Solid two hour premiere. This is a good summer show IMO...and I'm literally not watching anything else new right now outside of Adult Swim, so I was ready for something new.

On another note, how freaking awesome is the Eric Andre Show?!?!

I think Prometheus is now ruined for me after seeing that new Sideshow (or whoever) toy of The Engineer.

That singlehandedly ruined the coolest part of Alien to me.

Yeah, it's my damn Collector's Brain. If everything else in my collection is the official US version (aside from Euro exclusives), I can't have one item that sticks out like a sore thumb. If ALL that was out there was the foreign packaging, my OCD would accept it, but knowing that there are finished US versions available means that part of my brain will never rest easy until I have it.

Plus aesthetically, it just looks too busy with all that writing, I like the more spartan packaging.

Crazy, I know.

To quote Homer Simpson, "Stupid brain!"

What also sucks about this is the fact that it happened on a Saturday. (well, Friday night I guess technically)

I had to liquidate a few assets (my whole Retaliation stash) just to be able to come up with the necessary $$$ to pay the scalper prices online for these things now. And even then I couldn't get to the bank or anything since it was already closed by then. So I had to sit on the sidelines all weekend while these things started disappearing from the online retailers.

And good luck getting anyone from any of those online sites to actually respond to a question on a weekend. (I notice a lot of sites have photos of the English language version but no one will confirm if that's actually the one they plan to ship me)

So now I am REALLY looking at a major chunk of cash to lock down one of the few remaining English language sets that might still be out there somewhere. I don't even want to think about how much this is going to end up costing me.

Just throwing it out to the group - if anyone sees one of these anywhere, or knows anyone that might be willing to part with one, please let me know. (Again, just the English language version, not interested in the trilingual)

Thanks in advance!

On another note, despite this being the first new Star Wars action figure I've found at retail AT ALL since the Vintage Deleted Scenes wave in February I almost put Obi-Wan back.  Even now I feel like I bought him out of obligation more than actual desire to have him, if that makes any sense (it probably doesn't).

I always feel that way too, especially now when we are so starved for new stuff. I already have dupes of all the Wave 2 stuff and I still feel a strong compulsion to grab that one pegwarming Aayla at my work Target.

Yep, and again...no Joe Colton.

Guess we are all agreed this really DIDN'T come out as someone claimed above?

!@#*&%$#!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for ordering from Entertainment Earth. We have been notified by
the manufacturer that we will not be receiving any additional shipments of
Star Wars Clone Wars Mandalorian Assault Transport Vehicle, (Item
HS30494), because they have discontinued production of this item at this
point in time.  The item has been removed from your order.

If this item is again made available, we will contact you for a possible
re-order. We apologize for the inconvenience, as we certainly would have
preferred to fill your order. Your order information appears below.

The best part about this whole thing? HASBRO EXPLICITLY TOLD US TO GO ORDER THIS FROM EE.

Insert profanity-filled rant here.

This is a million time worse for me in particular because I am haunted by the knowledge that there are at least a few finished production samples NOT done in the trilingual packaging. (Adam P has confirmed as much as well) I cannot bring myself to buy the Canadian version...yet.

This is just one of their worst screw-ups EVER...and that is saying something.

I only hope the Vintage fans don't get a similar deal with the Naboo fighter. Seems eerily similar.

Picked up the Geonosian Speeder Deluxe set from TRU on sale for $11.99, that seemed good enough to me. I tried to wait out Kul Teska last year but I ended up missing out on any good sale prices before he disappeared from the shelves around here, so I figured I may as well bite.

Saw a leftover Aayla on the pegs at a Target, that was about it.

For some reason I just realized today there are two versions of this BP floating around...strictly packaging variants.

One version is called "Republic Troopers" and one is called "Republic Clone Troopers".

No idea which came first, but it seemed noteworthy somehow, mostly as a curiosity.

The Target next to my office restocked with a fresh case of Class I vehicles...I picked up another Scuba Clone Set, although the paint apps don't look much better than the first one I found. No sign of the Dropship, but that wave is bound to hit eventually. I left the Attack Recon Fighter as 2 is enough of those for me.
