Over at SuperHeroHype, they have the first look at Christian Bale in the Batman garb.  Apparently the image (and others) appear in this week's issue of Entertainment Weekly.  You can check out the picture online here:

Well, after another night of NBA Playoff goodness, the Kings and Pistons have moved on.  Another nail-biter between the Kings and Mavs, sans defense, and the Kings pulled out a one point win.  Now its on to see if the Wolves can finish out tonight.  A lot of trash talk going on in that series from what I have seen on Sportscenter this week.  I saw this morning that Nuggets backup Francisco Elson has even called Kevin Garnett "gay" in an attempt at trash talking.  Story  Hopefully the Wolves will rise above, and move on to the next round.

In other NBA News...or Olympics news depending on how you look at it.  It looks like Team USA might have to re-draft half of their roster.  The following players are said to be thinking about sitting out:  Kevin Garnett (wedding), Vince Carter (wedding), Ray Allen (expecting a child), Karl Malone (injury problems this season), Tim Duncan (injuries), Jermaine O'Neal (security concerns) and Kobe Bryant (legal concerns).

Big Fish is a movie the wife and I always wanted to check out when it was in theatres, but missed out on that.  We are hoping to rent it sometime this weekend to see how it is, and maybe buy it if we enjoy it.  It looked pretty good from the previews and comments I have seen on it.

Apparently, Amazon.com has a listing up for the Clone Wars Animated series on DVD.  It has a message saying it isn't currently in production, but if you sign up for their "e-mail me when available" feature on it, the information will be forwarded to the studio to let them know it is a demanded release.  If you want to see these on DVD, it might not hurt to try and help it out.  Here's the linky:

Well, the Lakers finished off the Rockets last night, so now we can move on to that 2nd Round matchup of Spurs - Lakers, should be a good one.  Hopefully the Wolves can take care of business tomorrow night against the Nuggs, and get out of the first round.  I'm glad these 1st round series are starting to wrap up for the most part, on to the good (or better) stuff now.  On a side note, they really could have left the first round series in the 5 game format in my opinion.  Seems like it takes a long time to get the first round done with, and really hurts any underdogs looking for an upset too.  I guess it didn't matter much since most of the series were sweeps or close to it.  Sacramento and Detroit have a chance to close out their respective series tonight.

For those of you who watch That 70s Show, they had a couple more references to Star Wars last night.  This show seems to be pretty good for a Star Wars reference here and there...last night Eric was constructing a "model" X-Wing, and later brings out a box of Star Wars models he had constructed while he and Donna were broken up.  They weren't actually models from what I could see, but actually Hasbro ships.  I think that is the second or third time this season they have shown Star Wars toys on this show, and maybe the 5th or 6th time they have referenced the movies.

Looks like it is a "no-go" on the Sandcrawler for now.  Hasbro has a brief Q and A update posted saying that Target has passed, and also answers a question about the VOTC line:

Thanks for the rest of the pics Brent, I didn't have enough time to post them earlier, so just got around to the Bounty Hunters one.  I'm another collector "stealing" these away from children I guess, because I really want to add these to my collection (the OT ones at least, although the others are tempting too).  As far as the figures, I don't think the Chewie or Vader are any different than the previous ones, but I'm not sure.  The R2 has the third leg, and 3PO is posed a little differently (first one had both arms down).  I hope that these aren't impossible to find, I've always really liked this line....I guess it kind of reminds me of the vintage days growing up too, simpler figures, but still fun.  I have every intention of saving these for any kids we might have in the future though.  Oh, and if any of you are holding out on buying the Falcon, I'd highly suggest picking it up....a real neat set.

I'll be picking up each of the New Hope Series, as well as the Bounty Hunters set (which was a nice surprise).  The PT figures look neat too (especially would like to have a Yoda), but I was trying to limit myself...we'll see if they ever show up in stores.  I hope these 2 packs continue, and they are reasonably priced (has anyone heard how much?).

Hasbro has posted an update of the continuation of the Playskool/Galactic Heroes line.  You can check out the article here:

Galactic Heroes

It looks like Wave 1 is A New Hope (although Han has Bespin Jacket), Wave 2 is Attack of the Clones, and Wave 3 is the Bounty Hunter Wave!  They are also re-releasing the Falcon in new packaging.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: How's Star Wars Selling in Your Area?

Stopped in at a Target while visiting some friends out of town this weekend.  The basic figure pegs were pretty bare, consisting of 1x Dutch Vander, 1x Hoth Luke, 1x R-3PO, and 2x Dignitary (Klen Blista).  They did have several Ultra figures though, 3x Jabba, 3x Denizens, and 1 or 2 each of Jango and Obi-Wan.  They had a pretty good stack of Obi-Wan and Maul glasses as well, still haven't picked up the Maul one for some reason (can't bring myself to pay $10 for it) :).  No sign of Star Destroyer, Ultra Ewok, or Endor Generals waves (and have only seen Dutch and Rappertunie from the previous two waves around here).  Still kind of a slow time for basic figures, I hope the OTC isn't this difficult to find.

Visiting friends out of town this weekend, stopped by a Target to check out what they had.  I found a lone Dutch Vander hanging on the pegs (as well as 1 Hoth Luke, 2 Dignitaries, and 1 R-3PO).  I picked up Dutch.  Not the most exciting figure in the world, but I was impressed with it nonetheless.  The helmet and articulation (specifically the knees, couldn't even see he had articulated knees until out of the package) are great, and a good background figure.  Still no sign of the Star Destroyer wave around, hoping to find Dengar and Bossk.

Congrats to all players/teams on their selections, the teams look pretty good to me.  In the playoffs, we had the Pacers, Spurs, and Nets finishing off their first round series in sweeps.  New Orleans, Denver, Dallas, and Houston all picked up their first wins in their respective series as well.  The Lakers and Rockets had a heck of a slugfest yesterday again, with the Lakers coming out on top in OT.  Tonight's action continues with Detroit and Milwaukee, as well as Dallas and Sacramento going head to head again on TNT.

In a way, I was glad to finally see something "out of the ordinary" happen with the Bucks' win last night.  Plus, they are a tough team not to root for sometimes I think...the perennial underdogs this year.  I was glad to see the T'Wolves win again, hopefully on their way out of the first round at least..or further.  Garnett....20-22-10?  Ridiculous.  Lakers are looking tough again too, when Shaq can score 7 and they still win pretty easily.  I don't think Houston can hang with them.  Kind of expected the Mavs to do more against Sacto too, although I guess we're only two games in and more could happen.  Nice to see the Heat continue to do well, thrashing New Orleans last night (63 points?).  I remember when N.O. was one of the favorites to come out of the east at the beginning of the year.  Have fun in the West next year guys :).  Like you guys said, Spurs/Duncan turning it on at the right time....they are looking tough.  Let's get to Round 2, see some even better matchups :).

Oh...and a side note...congrats to LeBron James on ROY, Ron Artest on DPOY, and Hubie Brown on COY.  Although there were others who could stake claim to those awards, I think all three are quite deserving.  I'm hoping KG can get the MVP this year, I really think he deserves it.

I know, I thought that too...Meg is the only one of the basic "family" not included.  How fitting.  I'm guessing there will at least be a series 2, where she could show up....along with Quagmire, Joe, Cleveland, etc.
