Found this at the Toys R Us near my work this morning. Since they're running the BOGO40%Off right now, it was as good a time as any to grab this set. Unfortunately, nothing has been done to improve on the paint apps of the Cassian Andor figure, I had to go through the entire case-worth of them to find two worth purchasing.

Yes, the price is $18.84 and the package itself is a bit wider than the regular two-pack, when I found them at my local store, they were put into the space reserved for the 2-packs but were all at an odd angle because there wasn't enough room for them to fit horizontally in the space. Kinda sad.

I would not be surprised at all if the October 23rd premier of this next season of TWD has LOWER ratings than last season.   I honestly hope it does...

I predict you're going to be hugely disappointed.  Whoever died is going to be spoiled within seconds on social media.  No person who watches the show is going to want that information spoiled.  So I'd expect the premiere to get the show's highest ratings.

Ok - so I was off by a couple of episodes, but TWD, according to this article, has now hit series low ratings...

Good job on that cliff hanger that just pissed people off AMC/Gimple. Seems like you guys here on JediDefender aren't liking it that much either. I totally watch Westworld now and maybe catch little bits here and there when my wife is watching it - she herself has moved into "Hate Watch" territory like we both are with Fear The Walking Dead.

Rogue One / Re: Rogue One 3.75" Wave 2
« on: November 29, 2016, 01:17 PM »
FINALLY found this wave over the past three days. On Sunday and Monday I was lucky to find most of what I needed at Target stores while they were running the 15% on all in-store purchases promotion and then this morning after getting nothing since Farce Friday, my local WalMart finally got in Wave 2, the lame WalMart 3-pack and the exclusive 6" Scarif Trooper.

Glad to be "caught up" for now. I wonder if the Andor/Scarif 3.75" TBS figures are going to hit before Xmas...

Spoilers ahead, so watch out -

At this point, I'm 100% behind the fan theory that Logan = Young version of Ed Harris/Man in Black.  Not sure how it's going to play out, but there have been so many hints and signs leaning that way.

Last weekend's episode was pretty good.  Still not sure whether I'm watching this show for anything more than the music and shoot-outs, though.  Still giving it a chance to build into something though...

Interesting, I've been thinking that William = Young Version of Man in Black and that we're actually seeing THREE different time periods all at once, they are:

  • William and Logan go to the park, Logan's family is going to invest in it, we're on a path to something pretty bad happening (The "Past")
  • Man in Black (older William) has been coming to the park ever since his brother-in-law took him and he's been going back because his brother-in-law died back in the past and at this point he's just about done everything there is to be done in the park so he wants to go deeper, perhaps because he himself is dying - maybe even that he's under the assumption that the maze can lead to his own consciousness being transferred into a host body. I also think that this is the timeline where Maeve is doing her thing (The "Present")
  • Delores has been through so many loops and so many different roles in the park that, perhaps thanks to Maeve, she herself is now on the path to enlightenment via the maze and the voice she hears is William/Man in Black who achieved his goal of a form of immortal life in this time period's past (The "Future")

I was always curious whether or not this show was a continuation of the original movie or if it was 100% it's own thing and I believe now that it is indeed 100% it's own thing, with the William/Logan story-line basically being a re-enactment of the first movie, perhaps even with the twist that it is right after the death of Ford's partner, Logan is part of the family that owns the Delos corporation and the event that is referred to happening "30 years ago" involves William and Logan during their jaunt in the park.

Of course this is all just speculation on my part, but I think that's why I like this show so much, the story is engaging and moving along at a pretty nice pace and there is no shortage of mystery to keep you guessing and theorizing what is actually happening.

Nice - glad they went three each of Cassian and Scarif Trooper in this case just like the original Jyn/Death Trooper case.

word on social media is now the other two RO figures are shipping too...  Great, huh?  :-\

Any word on the case ratio for the case with Andor and the Scarif Trooper?

I've seen social media reports on the Black Series 6" Scariff Trooper starting to hit, but haven't heard anything yet about Black Series 3.75" version (or 3.75" Black Series Cassian) though....

Ok - so even though I just found the Jyn/Deathtrooper figures there's no reason to go crazy continuing to look and see if I can find the Cassian/Scarif Trooper figures - correct?

LEGO / Re: Recent Acquisitions

Decided to pull the trigger on the "new" Death Star set while the 2x VIP points is still in effect. Not even sure I'm going to build this one, or if I do, I'll take the original release apart first before building this one. Wonder if it would be worth trying to sell the original set minus the mini-figures.

Interesting and a tad bit surprising, hopefully these will still be hanging around at Xmas time so I can pick it up when I'm down there...

You are probably right. But that promo they've put up everywhere which shows Rick telling Neagan that he's going to kill him, is just about the stupidest thing I have ever seen.

Before Neagan bashed someone's head in he said that if anyone says or does anything, to rip out Carl's remaining eye and feed it to Rick. He then beat someone's head in with a baseball bat wrapped in barbwire. Now Rick is going to pick that moment to NOT stay quiet and tell Neagan that he's going to kill him?!?!?

If Neagan drags Rick into the trailer and proceeds to cut off Rick's right hand with the hatchet, I will turn off the show.

I can understand Rick can be shown to be upset and a little bit in shock, but to say something so incredibly stupid to a man who clearly has ALL of the control at that moment is bad writing and I would expect nothing less from the "brilliant" mind behind Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.  :-X

The only truly interesting thing they have going is that Alejandro somehow survived that bite.  I wonder if we'll find out it was something other than a zombie bite or if there's some real clue here to the origins of the virus.

Oh, are you going to be disappointed... don't read my post previous post if you don't want to find out...

They could've left the pharmacist's immunity a mystery, but had to explain outright that we wasn't, so to return to status quo on the zombie front.

This reveal really bothered me. At the end of the day, there has yet to be a virus on this planet that affects EVERYONE - even the worst of them - there is always a percentage of the population that is naturally resistant to it. This show could have introduced something truly unique to the Walking Dead mythos by saying definitively "yes, there are some people immune to the virus that turns you into a walker but it's like .1% of .1% of the total population".

That would have been interesting to me, because that would mean that there is a chance that at some point there *COULD* be a cure/resolution. Perhaps the people behind the show/comic don't want that and that's why they ended up making him a fraud, I dunno.

Some one IMDB said "We are actually watching a show about a group of villains".

If the show is indeed about a group of people who end up becoming a group of villains, then they're doing a really lousy job at being villains so far. Villains would have killed the family on the lighthouse island and tried to set up a compound there. Villains would have tried to take over the boat colony people after killing the leader so easily. Villains would have told the hotel workers to live with Travis beating to death those two ****-heads or be beaten to death themselves. Sorry, but that is a FTWD apologist trying to justify that this show is even worth watching.

I think this show is doing nothing but actually HURTING the popularity of the Walking Dead franchise and combined with the cop-out of not knowing who Neagan killed at the end of last season, I would not be surprised at all if the October 23rd premier of this next season of TWD has LOWER ratings than last season. I honestly hope it does because it will hopefully make the people who write the checks for this show take notice and realize that maybe it's time to pull back a little with multiple shows and stop with gimmicks like forced cliff-hangers.
