At this point, here's my deal on this...

I have an X-Box, so if I get it, it's likely for the X-Box as my PC (while nice) is a Win 98 machine and I'm finding games are now going to NOT running on an OS this old.  I'm not one for upgrading unless I get a SECOND computer to run my old games on.  CorranHorn mentioned that option to me, and while obvious, it had never even dawned upon me.

So, at this stage of the proverbial game, I'm an X-Boxer, but, I'm sad to see the MAJORITY of you are playing PS2 or PC, so if I'm doing this on PC I'll be a later arrival...  Till I can figure what the hell I'm doing here.

I'm not an MP gamer fan, so I'd be doing this just to participate.  I don't even have X-Box Live, so actually I doubt I even get this for X-Box.  Plus PC's gonna have mods for this, you know it, and they're going ot make owning the PC version 10x better anyway...  So, PC's what I'm aiming for, but sometime down the road.  X-Box is unlikely for me right now because I'm not paying for XB Live till I have $.

I'm irked at who's rare and VR...

Army builders as rares and very rares?  WTF?   >:(  It should never be like that.  And Tarkin and Veers?  Veers is the representative  figure of a field officer.

That kinda stuff sucks butt, bigtime.

Retail asked them to so people wouldn't just order online?

They have that kinda pull...  it's possible.

The Count, Bert and Ernie, and Kermit were the greatest characters on TV ever.

Kermit ThEE Frog Here!

But yeah, kids don't have a clue these days.  They missed all the fun stuff.  I still laugh thinking about Bert and Ernie fishing and Ernie yelling "Heeeeeeere Fishy Fishy Fishy Fish!!!!" till fish flew in the boat and pissed Bert off to no end.  I learned how to annoy people watching those two, and have honed it into the fine art you see displayed daily in the forums today.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Episodes 7 thru 9 NOT Happening....

I think the possibility is there, but I think it's unlikely.  Lucas is such a "I don't give 2 ***** what you think so I'm gonna do what I want" kinda guy.  I think he'll likely go onto some flops and retire. :)

SW on the small screen is possibly gonna have a huge future though.  With the mini-series CW winning an Emmy, it's a viable source...  Just has to be done right.  What's the odds on that one in Vegas though?  I mean, it'd almost hinge on Lucas's personal involvement.   ;D

Hammil's talk of 7,8,9 was old news...  Nothing new in his words that haven't been uttered somewhere else down the line, so I think it's just got everyone's panties in a wad over anticipating SW hype for another decade or whatever.  Lucas says no to that though, so that's what I agree with till he changes his mind again and claims he never said "no 7,8,9" at any point.

Wow I didn't even SEE replies to this.  I figured I'd get PM's.

Sorry guys.

If you are still interested, give me a hollar, but selling's more likely my interest than trading, but I am trading for:

VOTC Vader
VOTC Lando
VOTC Yoda
VOTC 3PO (least one I want though)
Saga/OTC General Madine (Or loose even, I don't care)
Saga/OTC Endor Han (AT-ST Disguise)
Saga/OTC Endor General Lando

McTrooper
Super Battledroid Builder (The PLaydoh set thingie)

And of course, Bonus Pit Droid 2-packs, haha...  Yeah right.

PM ME!  If you're interested in anything at all.

Hmmm, mine has said that if she goes, she's going shopping in the day and meeting me to go out in the evenings.  No SW geekiness for her.

I told her about Colman and his technicolor sweater and she was immediately "out" on participation.

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Clone 3-pk ...does it suffice?

3-pack of just the SA would be preferable at this point considering its scarcity.

I want the ROTJ set because I never got that Emperor, and I like the Stormtrooper...

Seems cool enough to me in that regard.  Beyond that though, they're just "eh".  more repacks nobody wants.

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: TRU Endor 4 Pack
« on: September 14, 2004, 07:39 PM »
I too now see a veritable "sea" of OTC boxes of these Endor sets.  Horrible little buggers they are.

They are now the proverbial "Bionic-Toby" which has clogged the Toilet that is TRU.  Terrible idea, seriously.  Not an enticing piece in any way, shape, or form.

I'm just in awe of how terrible the 4-packs went downhill from Set #1, to #2, to #3 and so on...  They have just decreased in quality.  At least the Naboo set is of value to people, but really the others had such major potential, which we've all hashed over many times, but nonetheless the point stands that these things moved great with the right pack-in accessory or the right "army builder" focus to it.

I'd be all for a Cloud City set with a kitbashed ICMG, 2 variant Bespin Guards (The Carbon Freeze set pack-in guy with a new head and removable hat, and a POTJ with new head/ethnicity), and some Ugnaught repaints and a silver C-3PO for the foul-mouth protocol droid.

Pack in a new accessory or droid "junk" just made up of a white IG-88 and some randomly cast and "distressed" droid parts, and I'd be all for this.  Or a cobbled together "light-up" Han Carbonite iwth clear hover-stand?

Hasbro gotta pick up a clue at the store some time because they're missing out on how to make this a profitable, inexpensive way to get exclusives out that SELL awesomely well.

I'd say a mix...  Kinda like Clone Wars.  Clone Wars really had an adult feel, but my gf's kids really enjoyed it immensely.  I remember her youngest laughing his ass off at the Clone's being smacked around by Assajj in the forrest, and he liked Durge with his biker droid army too.

It's nice when adults and kids can enjoy something simultaneously...  Unfortunately Lucas himself can't maintain a balance like that.

The Batman Animated Series was definitely aimed at both though I believe.  Adults could get into it seriously, but it wasn't too violent for kids, it had humor both could follow and laugh at...  That's good stuff.

Kinda like Toy Story I think...  To use a comparison.  But a lot less funny than Toy Story.  :)

Chewie's, "That Old Man's Mad." just rocked.

Ever wanted to know what Chewie said about Obi-Wan?  There ya have it, straight from the wookie's mouth.

Reminiscent of "Oh ****, Spaceballs...  There goes the planet", isn't it? :)

Yeah, and the EoD thing kinda had clear daylight shots of Han's coat it seemed...  No disputing color then if you ask me.  It looked browner than ever really.
