Modern Trading / B-A-D part needs of roron corobb
« on: July 9, 2010, 11:15 PM »
I only need one B-A-D part. If you don't have that part I need, but I can help out with a trade, just let me know. Any extra part(s) that are not on my list you have would work for me in that case, as I like to help out others when I can ;).

*** If you have the TLC BD44 Clone Commander Cody carded with YVH-1 left arm or any other figure I need loose/complete and that YVH-1 left arm that you would be willing to trade, I would trade all my B-A-D parts list for them. Just not the pending though, as those are already in deals. Will include parts I have coming from those deals though. I just want to be done with hunting for B-A-D parts. Check out my trade list. Everything is listed and link to pictures are there. I would be willing to trade just about anything on my list for that YVH-1 left arm I need too.***

Thank you for looking.

The Legacy Collection / Re: TLC "Hoth Recon Patrol" Battle Pack

Anyone have this set yet? Any review on it they want to share? I'm interested in the Probe Droid and how Hasbro changed it, if any other than paint.

It's a very decent set. The probe droid is strictly a re-paint, nothing modified to the mold. Of note of the re-painted Han, the goggles are glued in. Chewie's re-paint is nothing special, a bit too light IMO. The R5 is perfect and the protocol droid is decent, but it would have been nice if it had used the new DAB articulation.

Thanks Anton. I wish the Probe Droid was changed to remove the action feature it had back in the POTF2 line. It just didn't look very good. Also got to see a good picture of this set on Rebelscum today. I think Hasbro should have used the head of the sandstorm Chewy for this. Would have looked much better IMO. Totally agree on the wintering of Chewy too. I'll most likely get this set if I see it.

Anyone have any pictures of this set? I would like to see some detail of the figures. Don't really care about the bikes as they are the old POTF2 tooling AGAIN ::). At least Hasbro could refix with the new handle bars, then I might be able to stand it then.

Maybe a review on this set to if anyone has anything.

Hmm, 'scum doesn't have pic yet.

Gotta say, I think the figs are pretty disappointing. The Snowtrooper arms just don't fit into the biker scout torso with any sense of symmetry, making it look awkward - like the arms are too big for the body.

Thanks for that. I saw the hi-rez pictures of them on Yakface today. I totally agree with the arms not working for the figure. I will not be getting this set as there is nothing worth it in there. I might have, if Hasbro would have retooled Scout torso and added the Snowtrooper backpack to the bike and a hose to contect to the Scout.

Vader does visit the planet in the comics; he duels one of the trainees... one who isn't in the pack. I think this set is meant to replicate the scene of the "final duels" between the trainees, with the Emperor & Vader watching, to see which become royal guards.

Oh, I didn't know that. I'm not much into the comics, but thanks for the information.

Pictures of them at SDCC show helmets, but Hasbro has made mistakes before. I would hope they have helmets, or it's not that great of a set.
