Has Hasbro given any indication as to how long we're going to have to wait before we get an animated version of Obi-Wan's R4?

It's kind of annoying to me that we've got this ship with the socket that actually fits an astromech, but no astromech to put in it!

I might have to give the ship to the Legacy Collection Clone Wars Obi-Wan and dig out the R4-P17 figure from the ROTS line.

Do you guys think EE is going to get more to fulfill the orders they're taking? My fear is that I'm going to get an e-mail from them at some point indicating that they weren't allocated enough and that my order has been cancelled.

You're not the only one Adam - I think this is a great vehicle. I'm actually looking forward to Anakin's version.

I'm also pretty sure we're going to get a Kit Fisto and/or Plo Koon version.

I wonder how long before they let Ashoka have one too.

I picked up my fourth German Soldier on the Motorcycle so I can make a custom motorcycle for Indy and his father to ride.

Well it looks like each wing is two pieces so a split laterally down the middle to have them become the four "legs" looks to be there based on the hi-res picture.

I actually hope they didn't make it so there is a "cockpit" - I'm hoping more for a articulated "robot" mode.

That does look VERY sweet. I'm hoping that they make it so the new Clone Wars Magna Guard can fit in the cockpit.

Well of the Souls / Re: Hasbro 3.75" - 2008 Wave 4 (ToD)
« on: December 6, 2008, 10:42 PM »
With the answer that Hasbro gave Cool Toy Review in this week's Q&A session where they recommend getting this wave online 'cause it will most likely not make it to the big retail chains - I decided to place an order for this wave from Entertainment Earth.

I'm not overly thrilled with getting like six additional Indiana Jones figures that I don't really need, but I guess now I'll just hope that they ship me the wave so I get it before December 30th so I'll just rip those guys open to send away for another Crystal Skeleton.

I know the other option was to buy them off eBay - but a quick scan of auctions for complete sets shows that the going rate for a set of six is the same price as the case from EE, so just for the stickers alone the EE option wins.

I am keeping an eye on an auction for 3 of the Temple Guards, since my wants from this wave were 1 of each figure, two of the Head Guards and at least 4 Temple Guards, winning that auction would help me get towards my goal. Combine that with the Head Guard my friend was able to score for me as part of a trade, and I'll be finally all set with this wave.

Sucks that it had to come to this. Why couldn't Hasbro have just dumped the ToD wave on HasbroToyShop.com?

hopefully TRU gets them...atleast they will have them in stock.

If I had to pick a retailer, I'd go with TRU as well. But it will probably be Target and start the trend that Evolution sets can be $30 each.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Legacy Collection Comic Packs

Perhaps he means the upcoming live action TV series? ???

I think that's what he means too, but he has a question at the end, so I think he's asking: "Is it true that Vos will be a central figure in the saga in 2010-11?"

So the answer to his question is: "No, the prevailing rumor is that it will be about young Boba Fett"

I think that's the prevailing rumor at the moment, someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

The Legacy Collection / Re: The Return of Saga Legends
« on: December 5, 2008, 08:00 AM »
I totally agree DoctorPadawan - when I heard that Hasbro was doing BOTH Greatest Hits figures in the BAD line and a Saga Legends line, that really confused me. Why not just stick with inserting GH figs in with the BAD assortments like you suggest.

Heck that would have been much better than re-packing a figure from a previous wave in a new wave with the new droid part. Take six SL figs and pack them with the silver RA-7 droid parts and put them out that way.

There was no need to be getting the Clone Officers again or the Battledroids again. The upcoming Sandtrooper and X-Wing Luke SL figs could have been GH insertions in the upcoming ANH wave just as easily.

Hasbro's reasoning for this line was to help put out characters that weren't going to be out in the other lines. So how does that explain Anakin, Obi-wan, Yoda, R2, Grievous, and the the basic AotC style clonetrooper. Did I miss something or aren't ALL of those characters in your first Clone Wars wave?!?!

The only buyers for this stuff are nut-job collectors like me who pick up 1 of each for the packaging variation and the desperate parents who are going to grab the SL Obi-wan when their kid really wanted the CW one, but couldn't find it 'cause it's sold out.

Stumbled on a cache of Clone Wars Wave 3 so I used the opportunity to squad built the two droid in the wave, so I grabbed:

4x IG-86
2x Destroyer Droid

So now I have four of each open and one MOC. One of the IG-86 figs I bought the other day broke upon opening so I took it back and replaced it with another fig since that store didn't have anymore in stock.

Over the past two days I've also picked up:

1x Legend of the Saga 5-pack
1x set of K-mart TLC tins
1x Shield Generator Assault BP

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Asaaj Ventress-Good figure or not?
« on: December 5, 2008, 07:43 AM »
I think she is the best Clone Wars figure yet. Up to this point, I felt that way about Ashoka. My next figure on that list would be IG-86. As others have pointed out all three of these figures could just as easily fit with the realistic line and I guess that's what I like about them the most.

About the only thing I would have want with both female figures is articulated elbows, but I blame that on the Lucas animation team form making the characters look like they're nothing but skin and bone w/o an ounce of musscle mass.
