Found it this morning at Target as well. Does anyone know if the Droid Tank Repaint is in the same case as this?

One question, though:  Where is the long cannon on the AT-AP?  I thought at first that it might be packed inside the box, but seeing loose photos of it on target.com without the cannon, as well as the fact that all the figures (droids, clones, and Anakin) are holding their accessories, it makes me wonder if they dropped the large gun.  Or maybe it's similar to Hasbro's official Jetfire/Jetstorm combined mode photograph where everything is assembled incorrectly, making it look cheaper than it really is.

It's there, I grabbed two of these last night. I haven't opened it yet, but the long canon is atop the AT-AP and there's a Clone in the seat.

*EDIT* - Sorry I just looked at my open AT-AP and I think you mean the big long gun barrel that comes out of the "nose" of the AT-AP - yeah, that's there too - it's hidden behind the Trade Federation Tank in the packaging.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Who Is Not Buying?

I'm seeing the same thing. The Clone Wars product is moving, the Legacy Collection product is not. If I go to a couple of different stores, I can still grab most of waves 1 - 3 of the Legacy Collection. The only reason why Wave 4 is hard to come-by is because it's brand new. Give it another month and Wave 4 will be everywhere around here too.

In sharp contrast, the Clone Wars figures are pretty tough to come by unless you want R2, a Battledroid, a SBD or a Clone. Forget finding Asoka, Rex, Anakin, Obi-Wan or ANY of wave 3.

So yeah, I think the show is really driving the sales of this stuff. I saw a mom the other day buy her kid the General Grievous Starfighter. Smart move on Hasbro's part to re-release this ship, it seems to be that every episode Grievous is jumping into this thing to escape.

I bumped into confused Grandparents another day and they were looking for ONLY Clone Wars figures and the Clone Wars Anakin transformer.

I think the Clone Wars UBP is going to seriously out-perform the Sarlacc Pit set at Target too.

Well, I opened mine last night.

The Sarlacc pit comes in three pieces.

The first piece is the maw of the creature. The "beak" from the Special Edition does come out, so if you are so inclined to not display it with the "beak", you're in luck. The "mouth" is made of a rubbery plastic and the tentacles are "bendy" (soft plastic around a wire frame)

The next piece is a hard-plastic mound. The mound is sand colored and basically goes around the entire "mouth" piece. At this point, the Sarlacc is doing pretty good. You could theoretically display it like this if you wanted, in fact, in 20-30 years, these two pieces will probably be all that remain.

The final piece is the big rectangle of sand and it's made of (surprise!) the same cheap flimsy plastic that was the base of the Lars Homestead. In fact, I'd almost go as far as to say that it's even flimsier than the Lars Homestead base. So yeah, Hasbro really cheaped out on this last piece.

The Skiff is the Skiff and the figures, with the exception of the Han and the Lando, all stink. So if you're buying it for the Sarlacc, just be aware that 1/3 of the thing is cheap plastic.

Just scored two each of the Target UBPs.

They already had the shelf tag up, but nothing out. I ran the DPCI, it said they had them so I asked someone to bring some out, which they happily did!!!

They brought out two cases, said that was all they had, so I took 'em and checked out fast before someone tried to stop me.

Very happy to have these out of the way!

This will definitely be a popular set.

Too bad for them, that my realistic 501st Clones have taken over the open AT-TE!  ;D

I'll still pick up two of this set just for the army builder nature of the set and the spare weapons. Maybe one day I'll have a second AT-TE opened.

[Just an FYI that there are 6 figures in the Clone set.  ;)

Thanks for the correction.

I still think Hasbro is pushing it here - what's next, Legacy Collection repacks of the Mandalorian sets that were EE exclusives? It's not like these sets came out three years ago or something, it was just last year! They SHOULD have been putting some of these figures - like the Jetpack Clone in the Saga Legends line, so if someone wanted to grab a couple more of those they could have.

Picked up Wave 3 of the Legacy Collection Comic 2-packs yesterday:

Darth Vader/Grand Moff Trachta
Darth Vader (White Armor)/Sniper Princess Leia
Xizor/Princess Leia
Grand Admiral Thrawn/Talon Kardde

Nice sets for the most part. Like I Thrawn/Kardde set the best. Trachta is a nice figure, but the Vader is a throw-away. Could have lived without the White Vader set, always thought that ending to the Infinities ROTJ was kind of lame.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Legacy Wave 4 - Revenge of the Sith
« on: November 19, 2008, 12:20 AM »
Now that I have this complete wave, I'd have to say that this was a pretty good wave. Not as good as Wave #2, but still a pretty solid wave.

Grievous is nice, I appreciate what Hasbro tried to do here. It doesn't work 100%, but it's still close enough. I think they should have stuck with either, two arms or four and not tried to make the figure double as both, but this does give them the opportunity to put permanently joined arms on the figure and give us a nice cloth cape at some point in the future.

The Commander Faie figure is nice. Was originally only planning on picking up one of these to open, but I might get a second one just 'cause I like how this figure turned out.

FX-6 is nice. Had a heck of a time trying to get one of the arms in, but other than that, once the figure was together, it looks great. Will make a nice addition to my mini display of the deluxe Anakin -> Vader on the table figure. Nice that they completed the trio of droids from that scene.

Stass Allie - nice figure, always welcome to have another female Jedi figure.

Bail Organa & Breha Organa - these two really puzzled me. If there was ever a time to re-package the infant Leia sculpt, it was with one of these two figures (perhaps with Breha). I never thought I'd see a Breha Organa figure. Heck, I definitely thought we'd see a Beru Whitesun figure before a Breha Organa figure, but whatever, nice to have her out of the way.

So far I have snagged 2 of everything except the Leia/Xizor & Thrawn/Karrde sets. I will grab those soon enought, but not in a rush.

I wouldn't be in a rush with the Leia/Xizor set - so far, that's all I've seen of this wave at retail.

Picked up two of the Training on the Falcon battlepack on Sunday night. Nabbed another Saga Legends Barc Trooper to open up last night...

...and tonight I grabbed the rest of the TLC Wave #4 figures I needed (Commander Faie, Grievous, Breha Organa and FX-6)

Found them at TRU today and they are indeed $39.99.  Easy pass.

Uh - totally an easy pass.

When things like this come out, you have to wonder what Hasbro and the retail chains are even thinking.

For $62.99 at Target you're going to be able to get either 2 vehicles and 6 figures or 1 vehicle, 1 playset and 5 figures. Why would someone pay $22 less just for five figures when a regular vehicle costs $20 alone?

Ran the DPCI # at a local target on Thursday and they had them in stock, so I was finally able to score these.

The price was the new battle pack $21.99 price. Glad to have these finally out-of-the-way in terms of tracking down.

Absolutely not.

Although, if that did happen, I wouldn't make the same mistake I did with the 12" line. I would just stop with the end of the Hasbro line.

I regret ever getting into the 12" line that Sideshow offers. Too many remakes of the same figures Hasbro did and since I don't open my figures up, I really don't care of 1 million individual parts go into the binoculars of the Tatooine Luke - just cast a solid chunk of black plastic and give it some paint apps. The Sideshow 12" line soured me on the entire scale, I wish I could dump my entire 12" collection (Sideshow and Hasbro) now due to the fact that I got so burned out on the rapid-fire $70 dolls coming out of Sideshow.

Picked up my first TLC Wave 4 figures - Stass Allie and Bail Organa - not overly excited about these, but need 'em since I am excited about the Silver Death Star Droid!
