Was in the presentation last night at NYCC. Looking forward to rest of season 2, although uncertain since they gave Darabont the boot.

Please tell me they at least had the figures for sale! Those things were supposed to be out by now...I really want to check those out.

Looking forward to the premier, hoping since it's the first episode back and they want to hook in some new viewers they will have a little more action and a little less yakkity-yak.

Found more or less all of Wave 9 at 2 different Walmarts, picked up Bastila Shan, Ponda Baba, and the Hoth Trooper. Both stores had warped cards, boo.

Heard from a fellow local collector that he was able to snag this wave at Walmart this morning, great news.

Hope we see a good saturation, not just 1-2 stores.

I have to agree with you Jesse, I just don't see how they could skate by with only 5 more figures between April-December. That's beyond absurd...too much money left on the table there.

For some reason the folks at JTA seem convinced that this means 19 figures total for the whole year. That cannot be right. They showed nearly that many in the first 2 waves alone. I think that leaves something like 5 unrevealed figures for the rest of 2012? It just seems too incredible to believe. That's a LOT of money they are leaving on the table for their most successful line.

If you have a good thing going, milk it, don't starve it.

All anyone ever does around here is bitch and complain about how ****** Legends sell - "the pegs are overflowing with this crap!"  If Legends are so ****** and don't sell, then why not try something different?  Why not swing the pendulum back to "action features" and light-up sabers and see if that brings in the kiddos?

Yeah, but why not just do away with that garbage altogether? This line is an anachronism. I don't know anyone who likes it. They make poor figure choices, use poor sculpts, and command entirely too much real estate on the toy aisles. In the past 3 years I have NEVER seen anyone buy one of these figures. I can't tell you how sick I am of having to clear this dreck off the Clone Wars pegs every time I go into a store.

I know it's a pure cash grab that Hasbro always claims helps to finance their other lines but that's not compelling to me as a consumer. I really wish Walmart or Target or even TRU would start cutting back on their orders for this line and the amount of peg space dedicated to it. TVC and TCW should have at least 3 rows each and no more than 1 for MH.

Thanks, was that confirmed in the slide-show presentation? I know the placard in the display case said Clone Wars but I figure that could easily be wrong. Good, 1 less thing to worry about.

Where did they throw out the 19 figures for 2012 tidbit? Was that during the presentation also? That is really atrocious if true. They are just hurting themselves with this strategy, new TCW figures really fly off the shelves around here, aside from those stinking repacks.

I'm confused about what they're doing with the mid-size vehicles. I saw the Fighter Tank but that struck me as a realistic deco for some reason. Then they showed the v-19 Torrent, the Clone Wars one, in Vintage style packaging. WTF? Confusing to say the least.

So here's my final tally of all the big Clone Wars reveals from NYCC:

1 Deluxe set, the STAP with Battle Droid, which they have already released twice before in this line.

1 Battlepack, Republic Troopers, with CutUp, Hardcase, and Bomb Squad Clone. Looks pretty sweet.

The aforementioned 3 new figures, Anakin, Clone Trooper, and Cody w/Jetpack, plus Captain Rex (Phase II?) and Clone Commando Boss were shown in the Hasbro slideshow.

Oh, and Wave 1 hits in January promptly followed by Wave 2 in APRIL.  ::)

No new midsize vehicles shown.

I'm ok with next year being light on TCW product, it'll save me money and space, but I do wish the stuff they were offering was more compelling than more clones and that lame STAP.

Also, my eyes might be deceiving me, but the Anakin looks new. So there are possibly three new figures. (Oh joy)

Good eye, after looking back over the pics I think you are right. The likeness is a great improvement, IMO.

Apparently there may be a new TCW BP pictured on the back of the Geonosis set called Republic Troopers, with an actual Bomb Squad Clone in it. That would be cool. Kinda like what the Army of the Republic BP SHOULD have been.

After seeing some of the other comments, and reviewing the early pics again, I think I am in agreement that the Anakin pictured is all new as well. The facial sculpt looks vastly improved.

I wonder if the repack Chewie will really have the proper coloration like the display version. That one doesn't look nearly as dark in the face as the ones I have seen photos of from stores.

Ugh, just spent the past 45 minutes trying to slog through all the new pics at SSG. Looks like at least 2 new TCW figures were on display @NYCC: a big-ass jetpack Cody and what looks to be a new basic clone trooper. Both are slated for JAN 2012. Guessing the will be the first new wave of next year, and possibly the first in the new packaging.

Yeah, the new packaging - S U C K S! They don't even identify the line as Clone Wars anymore on the package! The only way you can tell is by looking at the number on the SIDE of the card, apparently. Yeah, that won't be confusing.  ::)

It does appear that they are restarting the numbering with the packaging reset, as expected.

Both figures look pretty cool, although Cody is clearly top-heavy as hell with all that gear.

Hoping we see something else in terms of BP's, vehicles, or deluxe sets.

Wasn't there some Hasbro thing planned for 5-6pm today? Or is that tomorrow? Seems like some new stuff is starting to leak out already, Adam P had some good scoop on the new Naboo fighter.

It's just too weak for words, really. There's about 99 different ways that this sucks but I'm too weary of the whole thing anymore to even work up a good rant about it. It cheapens Obi-Wan's legacy; it defies all common sense and reasonable suspension of disbelief; it further reinforces the absurd trend that only good guys die on this show and villains just multiply, etc, etc.

It's just crass revisionism of the worst variety. Sorry that Lucas created such a cool character and then immediately killed him off, but that's the way the ball bounced. Deal with it. Need to pump the fanboy well for some love? Fine, delve into his backstory. Do some flashback shiite, whatever. But COME ON - dude was severed in two fing pieces! And dropped down an enormous nuclear silo or whatever that thing was. I mean , done. End of story.

Just stupid, stupid, stupid.

Wow, Wave 10 has officially hit here, and hit hard. I actually saw these at 4/4 Targets I visited over my lunch hour today. That's a really good spread.

It's always nice to see a fresh case on the pegs, so I was able to pick up another full set for the low low price of $7.99. This will allow me to recycle the remaining few I had snagged at $9.89.

Cheers to Target for getting in some new stuff. Jeers to Walmart for not doing the same.

Still no sign of the mini Y-Wing, which is odd because a number of the Targets have sold through those first 2 waves by now. I don't see much restock action on these around here.
