I'm not planning to attend it E, but I don't really know much about WW Philly...  I've not heard much on SW guests but it takes a bit for me to leave the confines of Western PA, just due to costs and all...

Anything in particular you're hitting the show for Eric?

Those Marines aren't out yet too btw.  The "Aliens" series is due in June I think I mentioned above but now I forget what I said...  haha.

The thing with Lando is costume changes weren't often, or at least they weren't important.  The "smuggler" duds at the end of ESB, and his celebration smuggler outfit at the end of Jedi are probably the only outfits he needs done at this point...

A SA Pilot version would be nice first though IMO, and then Skiff version...  I could handle a re-release of the VOTC Lando w/out the cape too in the basic line, so they have a Cloud City Escape Lando that's dead-on as it should be.

About TSC Han, yeah the ROTJ Han head has been done to perfection at this point I think...  Unofrtunately the VTSC isn't the best, compared to AT-ST or Carbo Han, those are better by far, and probably the single best headsculpts of that character from ANY film...

Our weather has been getting the backlash fringe of the big drenching rains in the Northeast US...  It just sat and spun so it'd spin right back around onto Western PA and Ohio...  We have had off/on rain now for several days, though today was surprisingly sunny till late afternoon.  It's also oddly cool here, in the 50's during the day when we should be at the 70's...

The rain's getting on lots of people's nerves but we needed it really so it's tough to complain about.  It's supposed to warm up here soon though again so a little crappy weather is ok.  Better than flooding too, that's for certain.

Sculpts are better than Takara's, but I hear Takara's have better gear/accessories...  From what I've seen they do anyway.  The aliens/preds only come with some weapons like a knife/sheath, arm blades, necklace, backpack, and a pike, and throwing disc...  Not a lot from what I hear compared to the Takara figures.

I've seen the Takara figures though and the sculpts are anime-ish if you ask me.  Not realistic at all.  The Snap Kit Hot Toyz figures are spot-on realism and great painting too.  Paintjobs that blow Hasbro out of the water.

Hey Glorbes, welcome on board JediDefender.com...  I hope you like the forums, and our main page is rampant with the latest news too...  We're a site you should be hitting daily man, believe me we get a lot of news that the others don't and beat the others to the punch a lot of the time on the news we all share...

Enjoy the forums though, look around...  Check out all the areas too, not just customizing.  We have a lot of great conversation and a strong membership here...  We run a pretty good clean ship here too despite our ever-growing community too, so have fun making lots of contacts and stuff.

Check out the classifieds if you need or want to sell something too.  Lots to be had.

What I find amazing, and this is the type of crap taht annoys me about US Toys, is that these things are really the kind of thing in Asia you'd be able to buy just on the checkout line at the local store...  They're like candy bars or something.

US toy manufacturers are moving this way but Hasbro's so stuck in their ways...  Asian toys are a whole other bag though.  I mean, you get a SA figure at the checkout...  Sure it's blindpacked but it's probably incredibly cheap to purchase overseas.

I'd kill for snapkit SW figures in the states like these...  Blind pack them, I don't care, they'd be fun to collect and build...

Eric, I have Wave I (I still need Wave II though).

They're more close to a Gundam, in that they build a super articulated figure, and they're fragile like a Gundam is.  They are cool though and 4" scale...  Very great detailed sculpts, ok for accessories (well, the Preds were anyway, and the humans look good).

They have:

-2 ball/socket shoulders
-2 ball/socket elbows
-2 ball/socket wrists
-2 ball/socket hips
-2 ball/socket knees
-2 ball/socket ankles
-1 ball/socket torso
-1 ball/socket neck

Every joint's held together via an hourglass pin...  They are prone to falling apart when posing them but nothing too major.  They hold poses and stuff pretty well.

Sculpts are unmatched by anyone, including McFarlane's attempts...  They're great.  Real skull necklaces on the preds, it's cool.

The humans look BETTER articulated by my eyes, and maybe better constructed.  I must have the Marines and Ripley series, plus the "Aliens" aliens look amazing.  They got the costume of the alien down right for that film, while the AvP ones are down right for that film...  Nice eyes for detail they have instead of just re-issuing S1

I have 2 lots myself for sale...

Lot #1 is 10 Snowtroopers w/backpacks...  $3 each plus shipping.

Lot #2 is 5 Captain Piett figures incomplete for $4 each plus shipping.

Again, sold as lots only, not breaking it up at this point.

I'd also trade for VOTC Stormtroopers or VTSC Scout Troopers, or for Evolution Sandtroopers.

Did anyone let your city know they didn't win yet? :)

That's how it went here when the Pens were winning playoff series, though the way the arena's set up it didn't affect anything dramatically and I don't recall damage happening even the nights we won cups...  It probably helped not having the championships in Pittsburgh.

For the Steelers...  Not much problem either ironically.  There was a tally of arrests on the news, and really there weren't many, the only place any fires erupted were out in Oakland where the colleges (Pitt, CMU, etc.) are and it was the usual lighting of the couch on the lawn more than anything else...  No cars or anything.

The big party spots of the city were packed with people but arrests were amazingly relatively small and for petty stuff, and the tally said 80% of arrests were people from out of town in for the festivities rather than actual residents of the city...  It went smoothly.  It was a mad house, but a smooth one I guess.  I think there was probably more shenanigans during the Pens winning playoff years actually...  My favorite night was Game 1 of the Bruins series in 1992 that Jagr won in overtime.  That was the nuttiest celebration for sports I've ever been in the midst of...  It was really great and I even remember being stuck in traffic on the way out with Jagr right beside me.  To a kid that was a great night. :)
