That's a shame guys.  Thanks for letting everyone know your story.  At least it may help someone out...   :-\

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What stresses you out?
« on: November 24, 2004, 12:03 AM »
I have a managerial accounting course this semester that I'm wrapping up, and I've already had some experience with setting budgets and stuff...  Sounds like it is intentional for budgets to ALWAYS be under.  Just my opinion (uneducated on your specific business Matt) I guess.  Probably are just doing it to get the business in.

I'd wager that's relatively competitive to get the clients.

Anyway, what stresses me out...

-Professors who dump work on you without a care as to your other workloads.

-Professors who take their classes (which are requirements) seriously when in reality they don't apply to your major nor do they broaden you as an indivdual.

-Being on time...  I'm terrible about simply WORRYING about being on time.  If I'm running late it f's up everything for me, and can ruin an otherwise normal day.

-Exams/quizzes/graded work.  In the waning days of the semester I'm getting dumped with work.  Today I had a budgeting (cash and production) quiz for MA, and a hefty exam for the aforementioned BS course.  Topping it off I am sick, and in my THIRD class I had today I had a review for the exam on the Tuesday following T-Giving (Financial course).  I've also got one more exam before finals (In the MA course), my term paper due in the BS course, and my finals then to boot!

-My health...  I'm not overly healthy, and neither is my family (mother/father) so I'm struggling with my own health as well as theirs.  Things are levelling off for them but I'm to the point I need a break.

-My car...  I've had a roof leak since the big hurricane hit this area and flooded things.  I've needed to get that fixed but haven't had time.  I also have yet to wash/wax my car since summer which is really bugging the hell out of me because it's the first good car I've owned and I'm hell bent on making it last the long-haul.

And that's just a general list of things I spend dwelling upon.  Of course school stuff's weighing on me.  It always has and always will.  It's really terrible when I'm sick as a dog like I was today.  I've picked up some kind of flu, just in time for the last 2 to 3 weeks of class.  Yay.   ::)

Now now...  No politics guys, ok?

Since you gave that equal time for both POV's I'm gonna let it go HMI, but no freaking out on this one, or "adding" things to it guys.

They're both stupid things from the internet IMO.  ;D

Moving along (Please)...   :P

I'm curious about the Pablo figure too, so thanks for reviewing him Kevin.  The figure sounds interesting.  I need to review AOTC and see if the pose is accurate to how the character would just "stand" or what.

He's a bit awkward...  Never had a figure like this one since Lak Sivrak.

Count me in at 33% as well.

Not totally gay, but gay enough to be liked by women?  I dunno...  I'm not buff enough, nor fashion concious enough.  I should be though.   :-\  I wish I didn't have to try hard at things like that.

I almost hope NOT, unless they do the TE to-scale.  Not a huge vehicle really, and one that "Assembly required" could make its packaging quite small or reasonable really.  I'd love an AT-TE but not at the cost of it looking silly next to the uber detailed figures we get.

I was disappointed with the Gunship for that reason myself.

I REALLY am hoping no Juggernaut though.  That'd be underscaled, no two ways about it, unless Hasbro took a real gamble like 21st Cent. Toys has with their 1:6 tanks...  Then a Juggernaut could be cool but horribly expensive to the majority.

I dunno, I just think Hasbro should stick to small vehicles and do them to-scale.  Do them justice.  Big stuff didn't do too swift in AOTC as far as sales, to-scale or not.

Give me the fighters to-scale, speeders, etc...  Leave the big stuff up to the imagination or customizers.

PS:

The push light's an awesome touch btw.  I've wanted to try something along the lines of using those push lights.  They're relatively inexpensive and look useful, but I've yet to work on a project I really wanted to put big domed lights in.

I have considered something a light-up holo-table thing though, like in AOTC.  Not a film diorama though I don't think.  Just something from my own cranial cavity.

Very nice Muftak.

I like that the contours of the Bespin set aren't rigid and square.  You captured the way Cloud City sorta curves and circles in its architecture, while your Death Star was more squarish, as its architecture was.

Very cool.

I'm curious to see what you'll maybe try/do with the freeze chamber, and Hasbro's mini-fc they made some years ago.  I liked that set a lot, though it's small.  It worked though.  I thought it was only needing to be bigger itself, or be something they made additions for that snapped to it.

My CW army's not huge, but I'm just waiting for SA Clones to pump it up.  The pre-posed were just not cutting it.

My personal favorite moment of brilliance for him, at this moment anyway, is the fact he's single-handedly getting a thread going for EVERY figure in the recent E3 figure list, and giving them their OWN topics one at a time.

Very classy, and smart.    :-X  Brilliance.

I don't have the foggiest clue what motivates these people.  Why they have to see their words typed out in public.

Boil/pop for everything, never cut.  It's not condusive to good figures afterwards I've found.

I'm not banking on a clearance for these.  Every time any show, they seem to sell out, or at least that's been my experience.  I found ONE in a store.  UnfortunatelY I've had to deal for them or get them online otherwise.

:(

ANH figures are even dwindling.  I dunno about you guys but the #'s of those at Wal-Mart are dramatically lower in recent weeks.  Early spikes in buying for X-Mas maybe?

Antilles in ANH wasn't particularly old though.  I find it odd they'd put him in E3, but that's me.  I mean the droids could be passed around some before reaching him.

I always figured Organa would've gotten them, and just made sure they were attached to something under his control, and eventually Leia's.  IE: The Tantive IV.

Minor, but since I discovered the Antilles arm swap and how it makes him a completely better figure, I am now on an Ozzel/Antilles kick and trying to scarf up what's left.

Ozzel's just as tough to find here now, so I'm having a rough go, but my lady picked up two Antilles at her local WM tonight.  Limb swap on the way, and then head swaps down the road for them.

Yay!
