On Tough Crowd tonight, a great quote from one of the comics about J-Lo's woes...

"You've been compared to Elizabeth Taylor recently, and that's just not fair.  She made good movies"

hahaha, oh hahahahaha

In my mind it was a think of beauty, but in reality it's pure laughter.

Oh Michael...  I wonder if he can make his rig jump and talk to it?

Being the photoshop reject I am, anyone else already planning on super imposing Hasselhoff's head on Fright's body, and of course keeping the hair-did?

Just a thought...  A funny, funny, laugh till my sides hurt thinking about it, thought.

Pittsburgh's a 2-way tie between Baseball and Hockey after Football which will always dominate the Steel City.

That said, News always devotes mroe to Baseball which always garners heat from the real sports press in the city (in the papers and such) because the news channels will pimp the loser pirates like they're the end-all and be-all.

They suck, but have a nice stadium.

The Pens will live on though, and when they rebound (they will, I feel sure), they'll be back in the saddle.

I hope we build the underground arena they've said is a rumor.  THAT would kick ass.

Early sketches of Chewie as a long haired freak are cool to me...  That's the one Mc-figure I'd personally love to have, mostly because I could blend him into damn near any diorama. :)

This one's perplexing to me as well, but you guys have me fearing the customer service over yonder.

I've not dealt with them, but if it's all I've read I'm not looking forward to trying to get this figure.  The last Insider owners did a half-decent job I felt.  Too bad LFL/Hasbro are in charge now, more or less.  Neither's the swiftest at making people happy.

Tydirium coming through with footage of the chase...  nice.

I wonder if Germans still love him though?

You rock Beth...

Thanks.  You'd make my brother happy.  He's got things rough because he's in grad school to be a Dr. of psychology, and he's married and all...  He doesn't get to the stores much so my mom and me keep up with the line as good as we can for him...

I get a figure here and there but always turn things to him first.  I got the Witchking which rocked...  Loved that figure, and nw I wish I'd gotten a KotD at the same time but I passed cuz I was short on $ and this is a line I just browse through.

Then Cole's figure broke upon opening...  Blah.

I'll let you know via PM if I can't find one in the next two weeks.  I appreciate the help!

PS: I knwo what you guys mean about the articulation loosening.  It's an area Hasbro does pretty great on and other companies flub sometimes.  Then again Hasbro doesn't do much articulation to begin with. :)

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Chores... What do you do?
« on: June 2, 2004, 06:48 PM »
Well, here's my list...

-Wash/Wax/Detail car(s)...  My 2, my mother/fathers car, & my father's truck.  Sometimes my girl's truck too, but it's garage kept and she's not going to hang onto it for long before getting something new so usually it's just a wash here and there.

-Oil Changes, help (at least) with brakes, etc...  Routine maintenance.

-Yardwork (just a catch all for my life around here)

-Work out...  I consider this a chore.  I don't get the "pleasure" others do from working out.

General stuff like that...  There's a creek across the road from my place I've been having a bitch of a time with this year keeping it from eroding away at a walking bridge I've got built there...  I guess that is yardwork, but it's turned into a routine chore with the wet weather we've had.  No flooding though so I can't gripe (not that we ever have flooding here...  knock on wood).

Oh yeah, and looking for Star Wars figures, cuz Hasbro and retailers have made that one a chore.  Can't even order cases from what I read about NewForce cancelling orders...  Thanks Hasbro!   ::)

Hmmm I dunno...

Perspective or not, $60's pretty outrageous for something being produced now with no tooling costs.  I'll wait for it to come down in price and, if nothing else, get it later than everyone else.

It's just not that good to me in the first place...  I was going to justify it by using it as a set piece for SW Minis battles games since it'd make a possible objective or something, but beyond that the RA-7 was my only desire from it.

I just can't compare it with the vintage toy...  It'd never replace it to me.  There you're getting something they're not making right now and which has real nostalgia.  But here with the modern crawler it's just a watered down, dirtied up version of the original...

That RA-7 is neat though, I like it.  :)

I'd like to see what Hasbro's MSRP was in ink on this beyond what the actual charge is.  I recall multiple people contradicting me (at the time) that the Shuttle was selling for its legitimate MSRP and that it was as low as Hasbro could get it...  Then we found out that wasn't so much the case.

Diamond's never been exactly cheap with their exclusives, and old SW exclusives sold for higher than their MSRP so I'm wagering it's spiked for the Crawler as well.

I think $50's even too much for this though...  It's not that big a vehicle even.

I'm bummin' right now.

I got a KotD figure at TRU a short while ago for my brother Cole and his freakin' hand broke off.  I got back to the store today and low and behold they are fresh out of KotD and so is every store in the area it appears. :(

I now am hesitant to return the figure for him since I don't know how tough to get he's gonna be.  He was in abundance just last time I was there too!  I wanted one for myself even, but I always get for him first because this is his "thing" he likes to collect.

Anyone know if he's gonna be one of the tougher ones to find over time?  I'd hate for my bro to miss out on this one just because TB made a figure whose hand broke at the slightest touch.
