I have to say, I think I enjoyed the series more when I could get excited about the possibility of toys being made from some of these things. Grievous's speeder, etc.

Instead I'm just left to analyze things like why Obi Wan lets Hondo go, or why Dooku doesn't just turn the pirate camp into glass from the upper atmosphere without engaing ground troops. Or why they didn't use the shields on the Jedi Cruiser when they were being chased on Florum. Silly stuff.

I know I'm better served to just enjoy the ride, but it's hard not to trip up on minutiae sometimes...

There was a new episode this week?

I checked On Demand last night, but it wasn't up yet, usually it is available right away...

Wow, I hope they wrapped Season 2 already, or they are going to have a major mess on that show.

I didn't even hear about this one with all the holiday brouhaha. My favorite non-Dallas role of his was in Blake Edward's SOB. Great flick.

Add also Deborah Raffin (Galaxy of Terror!!!) and Hector "Macho" Camacho to this list.

They always come in threes!

Yeah, after fiddling around with these last night I can feel buyer remorse setting in already. I suspect I will be returning at least 2 out of the 3 I bought. It's nearly impossible to separate these things from their packaging, and in any given set there is only 1-2 figures I would actually want to open.

The Marvel sets seemed a lot lighter on the glue, not sure why they didn't lock those down the same way.

I saw 1 of these sets in two different stores and both times one of the figures were missing. Which is weird because you can't ring them up individually. If you're going to swap out in the store, at least complete the swap BOTH ways.

I went back today and got price adjustments on both of the Mando Transport packs I had bought previously, and I was so pleased I went ahead and bought the very least 2-pack they had in stock, which just happened to the the AV-7 Artillery Cannon pack...the only other one of these I still wanted.

So all in all I came away with 4 sets for $80, 2 Mando sets, the AV-7 set, and the Droid Gunship set.

WINNING!

Awesome sauce, I finally found these at today 2 different Walmarts. The first one had 3 different sets, all SOTDS, scattered amongst a couple of different shopping carts at the end of the toy aisles. None of them were particularly exciting though, about the most interesting figure was a Kit Fisto. I debated for a few minutes and finally decided to pass.

I did find some much better assortments at the next Walmart though, and they were actually in the original display stand, so there was a good selection. I ended up grabbing three different ones, interesting that the packaging style differs for the SOTDS figures versus the Darth Maul packaged ones.

Got:
the first wave Maul figures (Shirtless Savage, Bane, Yoda, etc...mainly as I wanted a Chewbacca to open)
the second and third waves of CW figures (Scuba Ahsoka, Wolffe, etc, best assortment of the bunch IMO)
the SOTDS set with Baby Boba, Quinlan Vos, Cato, etc...

These are great values, esp the Wolffe/Scuba Ahsoka set, but one downside is they seem to have glued the outer packaging to the actual cards in several places, so if you were hoping to keep them minty you can't really extricate them. Also makes it harder if you were planning to trade or resell any of the individual figures down the line.

Still, super happy to have tracked these down and was overall very happy with my purchases  today.

Thanks guys, glad to hear someone found these at least. I just got back from another Walmart this morning and once again there was NO sign of any of these things. And I mean not even a shelf tag, empty shelf space, empty pallet or anything. I just can't believe these things would have all disappeared THAT quickly. I even stopped by the Customer Service desk and asked and they had no idea what I was talking about.

Were they located on an endcap, standalone island, with the regular SW toys, or what?

I plan to hit a few more places today, so fingers crossed I get lucky. I just want to find an assortment with the single carded Mandalorian Warrior, if one in fact exists. (Still hard to verify exactly what assortments are out there)

My store had no Mando Transport sets left, but I did pick up the V-19/Gunship set.

When I got home and looked at my receipt, I realized that both sets have identical UPC's.

Going to head back today and try to return/repurchase or get price adjustments on the two I've bought already.

I picked up a V-19/Droid Gunship 2-pack at TRU for $20 tonight. There was not a single Mandalorian Assault Transport set to be found anyplace. Maybe they have more in the back that will show up tomorrow, not sure...

Also did not see any of the Avengers or Star Wars 8-packs that were supposed to be available at Walmart.

I went to THREE Walmarts tonight and none of them had any 8-packs. What the hell?

Only thing I could think was maybe they were on display someplace other than the toy aisle, but I wasn't in the mood to scour the whole store, it was a zoo tonight.

Curious to hear if anyone else is actually able to find these...

Awesome early score! So how hard was it to swap out the figures? I'm very keen to see all the different asortments they will have for the Clone Wars set. Wonder if there will be any differentiation among the Avengers sets too...

Wow, I actually found remnants of Wave 3 at Walmart tonight! I was so happy to finally see Aayla Secura on the pegs that I didn't even stress over the fact that Nom Anor eluded me once again.

A nice consolation was the fact that this was apparently the revision wave with Wedge, and he was still there. It was literally the first time I had ever seen this figure on a peg so I snagged that as well.

And this was at a Walmart that has sucked FOREVER seemingly. I'm willing to check anyplace now after seeing that.

I also stopped by Target and saw most of the Malgus wave, with the exception of Malgus himself.

Still hoping to see Nom out there, and the Tarkin wave as well. Maybe for BF...

I made a rare Target run tonight and saw the Dropship again too. I'm good with 3 though, so I left it for the next lucky soul. It is a sweet little ship, no doubt.
