JUSt FYI for anyone looking to pick up the newly released Season 4 set on blu-ray..I did some quick comparative shopping and noted the following:

Target: $49.99

Walmart: $39.99

Best Buy: $34.99

No extras, bonuses or any difference between the releases that I could see...I guess those frills have gone the way of the super articulated Clone Wars action figures.

Other Toy Lines / Prometheus Figures
« on: October 24, 2012, 09:14 AM »
Saw new Prometheus figures at TRU yesterday courtesy of NECA. They had the "flight suit" alien dude and un-suited alien dude. Those appeared to be the only two. These looked pretty cool, but didn't seem to have a lot of play features. Which I guess makes sense as these are probably not aimed at kids.

Not sure about the scale, 10" maybe? I am horrible at guesstimating dimensions, so I could be way off there.

IMHO, that is not bad at all considering no one is EVER going to find this in a store in the US. At least they didn't make 5% of them in English language packaging and the other 95% in trilingual style ala the Mando Transport. That would be way more aggravating/expensive.

I seem to recall having some problems trying to order items off of Amazon UK in the past though, like some items cannot be put into your cart for some reason. Maybe only certain sellers ship overseas?

Oh, i got one. Some little third grade punk across the street came over and smashed our two pumpkins last week right on our doorstep in broad daylight. Luckily our neighbor saw it and came over right away and dragged the kid home to his parents. We didn't even know what had happened until the Dad came over later with the kid to apologize. My wife and I were out and my Mom was over babysitting and she told us our daughters both came to the door and were in tears because they had spent hours decorating them. What a ****** lesson that was for them...people suck.

Good stuff, again. LOVED the machete to the head. But yeah, they should have just executed them all on the spot. Born-again-hard Rick should have seen that coming a mile away.

At least they let the weasely little white guy live. Nothing to worry about with that dude, I'm sure.  :-X

Don't get Carol's sense of urgency about the cadaver practice. That's more important than Glenn watching Hersel? please.

Glad he did not die zombify or die outright. Good luck finding those crutches though.

Carol-watcher will have to be someone from the Governor's camp. Otherwise how will they ever meet up? Andrea sure isn't going to tip them off.

As much as I enjoy seeing Lori get psychologically b*tch-slapped by Rick, those scenes are hard to watch. Ugh. It's going to be all season with those two too.

Just cannot wait to see bayonet-hand Merle next week! That looks like an incredibly awesome episode!

Yeah, this was a good example of an arc that should have been wrapped up in three episodes. They rush in, stop the execution, kill the bad guys, happy ending and roll the credits. Everything else just seems like fluff.

Kalani was a major disappointment as a character. Still looks cool as hell but doesn't seem to have a clue about a tactical response to a native insurgency. Someone call that Cuban general from Red Dawn!

Did Rex go back with Obi and Anakin?

I don't pre-order, but I do plan to pick up the two Clone Wars figures from Amazon when they have them In Stock and ready to ship. I'm not too worried about not being able to get these, but we'll see.

Revolution has the post-apocalyptic, family trying to survive thing going on.  That's probably the closest copy-cat.  Even if it looked very g-rated silly in the promos.

Yeah, that seemed like an obvious copycat to me too, but of The Hunger Games. (Tween girl with bow and arrow, how original)

I agree there was a good bit of gore in Heroes.

The most interesting thing about those numbers to me is the fact the despite the startling success, none of the major networks have tried to blatantly rip this show off yet. That is incredible, given how stupid and uncreative network programming is. It's like they're all just conceding that they can't do anything remotely that good so why even try?

And they'd be right too.

Yup I really just want the little dropship...  I don't collect animated figures of humans (clones included) so I'd be into it if all you want is the pilot guy.  I think he has a unique helmet or something, no?  I can't recall now.

He's all new top to bottom, actually. It's quite diminutive compared to single carded Oddball or the Republic Attack Shuttle pack-in figure.

That's the trick really - finding another figure who can actually fit into that cramped little cockpit. Unless you just want to display it unmanned.

If you think about it, if they are all already infected, why does it matter if you get bitten or not? As long as it's not a fatal wound, seems like you could just patch it up and you'd be good to go. Why does Rick have to cut the leg off? It's not like he's stopping the infection from spreading or anything.

I recall that guy from the first season was in a similar situation and quickly developed a fever, delerium, etc and went downhill fast from there. So maybe it does something to hasten the effect?

The whole morphology of the virus is a little confusing...wish they would spend more time on that aspect.

Posted this over in the vintage sales thread, but Target had some deals too good to pass up tonight. I stopped by to get a price adjustment on the two Dropships I purchased in the past 2 weeks, and while I was there ended up getting a third Dropship as well as another Darth Maul Returns BP which was on sale for $17.99. Even better, with the BOGO 50% off deal, the total only came to about $26. Can't beat that with a stick.

Yeah, basically...  I figured people could figure out on their own that they need to meet the requirements, but judging by what I've read lately, many have found more than one.

Thanks, yeah,  I wasn't sure it would work if you had bought them on separate tickets, but as it turns out, it does. I took my receipts in tonight and they couldn't do a price adjustment per se, but did run them through as returns and re-purchases on the same ticket to get the deal to kick in. So I got about $8.50 back.

While I was there I picked up another Dropship along with another Darth Maul BP which was also on sale for 17.99. The nice thing is, you can mix and match any items you want, they just take 50% off whatever the cheaper item is. So those both came in at about $26 total. =WIN! :)
