Oh for the love of...my childhood is being raped all over again!  >:(

Everyone involved with this movie should be ashamed of themselves.

Hopefully there is no cameo by the kid who went on to do porn...

Revolution looks like Hunger Games for TV...Pass.

I don't see anything new this year that is grabbing me. Just psyched for the new American Horror Story season. And Walking Dead of course.

Excellent...thanks for the info. A quick DPCI check of the area Targets via web shows Not In Stock all around, but hopefully that will change soon. I'll need at least two for sure.

So what's the deal, is this thing coming out soon? I gather there have been some kind of developments recently - signage, shelf space clearage, DPCI, etc.

Curious for any details anyone might be able to share...my employer doesn't want me looking at Yakface.com apparently.

Maybe it's a brick and mortar exclusive for Walmart, but available through multiple online channels?

I agree, it's confusing. They can't seem to get out of their own way with this line anymore.

What makes you guys think we may not see this? We've only just started getting Wave 2 Revision 1 here, so it seems plausible enough that Wave 3 could make it out between now and the end of the year. At least Walmart isn't canceling that SKU ala the Class II vehicles.

Ugh, I hate the thought of having to overpay for ANOTHER Clone Wars vehicle.

ps - I saw remnants of TCW Wave 3 at another Walmart here Friday night, the lone Training SBD was a giveaway. Fingers crossed the trickle continues.

So in terms of single carded figures, I just need to find the Phase II Commander Fox and I'm done with carded Clone Wars figures for the year....  :-\

Me too...seems like store reports of finding him have dropped way off after that initial spurt. Once I find this guy I guess that's it until spring. Gonna be a weird holiday season not looking for toys, other than the Wolfpack gift set.

The Vintage Collection / Re: The Future of Star Wars Collecting?
« on: August 31, 2012, 11:58 AM »
What do you think happens when there are no more Star Wars figures to collect? Do we try to fill the holes in our collection? Does customizing become popular again? Just looking at the classic gaming sites, they seem to have moved to creating homebrews and finding obscure packaging variations of rare Atari games.

I wonder how much this hobby will change by then.

Well, with the writing on the wall for The Clone Wars line, I am already looking ahead to how I will fill the void. I plan to focus initially on some very obscure alleged variants that have been produced, followed by foreign exclusives/alternate packaged items, followed by prototypes, and then finally turning to customizing to keep myself entertained.

I am also considering going back and picking up those horrible "realistic" Clone Wars figures from the Tartakovsky show. Man, I hated those things when they came out. Can't be worse than the crap they are planning to trawl out going forward though...

JTA is reporting that the BOGOHO deal does apply to the Ewok/Pilot packs too.

Ugh, I just bought mine yesterday. Would have waited and picked up an extra for my friend if I had known about this.

I bought the Ewok multipack over lunch today, the TRU across the river got a case in this morning, but $40 was a hard pill to swallow. Buyer's remorse has already started to set in, so I am not sure about keeping this one.

4438
Well, I just got back from TRU and they confirmed that they do price match online sales at their website, but there is nothing out there on TRU.com that says anything about either of these packs being on sale for $32. I spent 20 minutes at the Guest Services desk confirming that.

If anyone has a link that shows otherwise, please LMK so I can get a price adjustment. I ended up buying one at full price but am not feeling great about it...

Damn, I really want a Sif. All I saw today was a Destroyer and a Volstagg I think. Maybe it was Fandral, I don't remember now.
