Confirmed SOTDS figures are now priced down to $3.94 at Targets around town. I thought about picking up a Hevy for that price but ultimately passed. Will hit a few more up tonight and see if I can find a better selection. Also hoping to find a Defend Kamino BP for $10...or maybe an HMP for $12.

John Carter, Warlord of Mars predates all of that crap by at least a generation.

It was also a comic book in the 70's which was COMPLETELY AWESOME.

Maybe Disney will ruin it, but there is no denying the STRONG GEEK-FU of the original source material.

As far as I can tell, the only figure we know FOR SURE that is a new reveal on there is the Cyborg Maul. A lot of people are speculating that Wolffe and Fox are Phase II but Fox is not marked as S4 so it could be a straight re-pack of his previous version.

If Wolffe and Fox are the Phase II versions, there's your figure line-up for 2012. That would fill the last of the open slots.

I'll still believe it when I see it, but if that holds true, major suckitude. I wanted my Umbaran Soldier real bad. 

Man, that poster jpg over at JTA is hella cool. Wish it made for a better screen saver. (too big for good res)

Ultimately though, another cruel tease because I already want ALL of those figures and at best we might get a Rako Hardeen and Cad Bane with new hat. 

So...I gather some of the Minnesota peeps were finding these for $30 at their local TRU.

Has ANYONE else seen this price locally at all? I figured this would be all over the fan sites but I've yet to hear a single report outside of JD.

I didn't think TRU could do single-store clearances on exclusives? Doesn't that come down straight from corporate? Or do they have leeway some places?

I would KILL to pick up a set on the cheap like this. So far nothing around here though.

In fact, I loved it even more WHEN WE SAW THIS EIGHT YEARS AGO IN THE TARTAKOVSKY SERIES.
