JTA is postulating that there may be multiple version of Chewie shipping, with variant paint apps. Anyone else notice this?

I have at least 2 of them that look more or less the same, but I do recall when seeing them for the first time thinking "that's not nearly as dark in the face as everyone was complaining about."

Running change maybe?

Yeah, I braved a few Wallys over the past few days just out of curiosity if they would make any effort to put these out. Their toy aisles were a wreck and the SW sections in particular looked pretty lackluster.

If they didn't have the sense to make these exclusives available during the biggest shopping week of the year, there's no telling when they will show up. Really stupid on their part I think.

Picked up the black Endor rebel variant this morning at TRU for a fellow collector. This is literally the only one I've ever seen here.

Picked up Armored Savage # 5 @ TRU today...actually left one hanging on the pegs, so I think I've finally broken the compulsion.

Also scored the black rebel TVC variant.

After seeing that disgusting display by that POS Suh today, I don't say how anyone can not say they aren't dirty. That was dirty, cheap, and complete garbage.

EXACT same thing as Haynesworth stomping Gurode, minus the stiches.

Punk ass bitch.

Snagged another Armored Savage Oppress today at Target over lunch. I never get tired of picking this guy off the pegs and paying for him. This was the mintiest card yet too, def a keeper.

I have to see, despite the overall awesomeness of the figure, it's not without its flaws. The right hand is sculpted so open it can't even hold the lightsaber, and only loosely grips the battle-axe. The overall proportions of the figure seem pretty exaggerated too. I mean, he makes Seripas look small standing side-by-side. Artistic license I guess.

I'm gonna miss buying new Clone Wars figures next year.

This show is so awesome and frustrating at the same time. It's the only show I NEVER want to end...I just wish the episodes went on for hours. It's SO engrossing, but the pace really plods sometimes, and there is really no sense of how much time is passing.

I mean, how long have they been at that farm now? I assumed it was only 2-3 days but it seems much longer now. Did they really think they were going to just stay there? I think Lori was the only one laboring under that misconception.

I officially HATE Lori too, her character just sucks. How the hell are you gonna feed Rick all that crap about keeping secrets? REALLY?!?! You have no shame, none. BTW, the make-up/CGI folks are going to have a really hard time making it seem believable she is pregnant...that woman looks like a total anorexic.

Is anyone even looking for Sophia anymore? They sure seem lackadaisacal about it. Even the freaking Mom seems content to just chill out around camp. I have to think they could come up with a better way to search than going house by house and room by room too. Try standing on top of your car and shouting her name. That way, when the zombies inevitably show up, you can just jump in your ride and take off.

I kind of like what they are doing with Glenn and Andrea's characters, shading them in with a little more depth. I also liked that they actually moved the plot forward pretty substantially last night. Not only did we finally get Lori revealing the pregnancy to Rick, but she even came clean about Shane. I was expecting them to draw that out much longer, so a welcome relief.

Is it even a question of whose baby it is? Again, the timelines are way confusing on this show but it would seem like it would HAVE to be Shane's right? But Rick doesn't even think to ask this?

Loved Dale calling out Shane too...his next conversation needs to be with Rick now.

So...I was thinking about this thing tonight. I always assumed it would show up before the holidays, but here we are on the threshold of Black Friday and not a sign of it anywhere. A lot of the stores I frequent seem to have available space for the mid-size line too, especially TRU.

I recall last year it was hard to find the Tri-Fighter and HMP but HTS had them up for order in plenty of time before X-Mas. It has still not shown up there either yet though.

Weird, this would be a good seller I think.

I've actually seen at least 2 cases out at the same time at TRU and Target within the past week, but that may be the exception rather than the rule.

They're moving fast, I know that, 2-3 days and even the repacks are gone.

It was a good morning, glad I made a little effort today. Swung by TRU and found the "variant" Commander Jet actually wearing the antennae, first time I have seen him around here. Then another stop off at Target netted me another Armored Savage Oppress, albeit on a sucky card. This will likely be my opener.

I now have 2 complete sets MOC of the last 3 waves of 2011, plus extra openers of Seripas and Armored Savage. I think I'm officially done with Clone Wars figures for this year!  ;D

Found remnants of 2 more Wave 12 cases at one of the crappiest Walmarts in town of all places. Picked up another Chewie, Piell, and astromech for a fellow collector. Of course no sign of armored Savage, but both shirtless versions were chilling on the pegs.

Crazy, that's all 3 major retail outlets around here that have gotten this wave in within the past week. I got lucky at TRU and have just missed fresh cases now at Target and Walmart.

Still, for right now, Armored Savage is the only Clone Wars figure I have seen on actual pegs only once, along with the Magnaguard. Hope that changes, I could almost army build this guy he is just so sweet.

WAXER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  :o

Damn, war IS hell. What will Boil do now?!?!

Was kinda hoping to see Anakin ride in on his white horse and have an epic throwdown with Krell, but I guess it was all about the clones in this arc, really.

I love how like 50 clones were shooting directly at Krell from like 5 feet away and could not even graze him but in ROTS they have no problem shooting down all the Jedi with deadly accuracy using fewer guys from farther away. I guess their aim got better.

Family Circus creator Bill Keane.

Really? Wow...had not heard that.

One of my friends used to put out an incredible zine called "So What" and one of the funniest recurring features was his "Bill Keane Must Die" column, which essentially was a scathing yet hilarious critique of recent Family Circus strips.

There used to be another fantastic zine out of Canada called Doomhauled which sometimes replaced the Family Circus captions with various filthy, demented things that were insanely funny.

If only that insipid comic strip would die with him, sadly they go on forever.

I like that the packaging depicts Luke dreaming about children's undergarments.

Well-played, sir...that made me LOL.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Hasbro Q&A Sessions

I'm sorry if this was covered, but did any of the sites ask about the whereabouts of all of the Fall 2011 WalMart exclusives? (deluxe sets, DVD 2-packs, "ultimate" Clone Wars gift set)?

And if so, what was the answer?

No one asked about them this round I don't think, but JTA ran a pretty cool investigative report a week or two back that explored this very question.

Essentially, no one has any idea where these things are hiding, but they are not cancelled. Hasbro says they should be on the shelves already, based on some kind of "available by" date. Walmart does not have the UPC #'s for any of them in their computers yet though.

Obviously the things have been produced, packaged and shipped, but they're probably in that warehouse next to the Lost Ark of the Covenant.  ::)

Most speculation seems to be that these things were possibly held back by Walmart to be released closer to the holidays, but being that next week is Thanksgiving, it would be stupid of them to wait much longer, IMO.

I'm still wondering where the hell that Mando Attack Shuttle is.
