Picked up a nice vintage B-Wing earlier this morning...my bid won out by 23 cents.  ;D

I keep telling myself to slow down, but I'm so close to the end now it's hard to hold back. This is going to be the year no question.

Scored a vintage TIE Interceptor last night on eBay, a bit pricey but not out of hand. Looks to be in good condition at least. I never had this as a kid, so a good get.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Legacy Collection Comic Packs

Lucas seems to feel the comics and basically anything outside the current CW series is useless to him

Awesome, I have something in common with The Maker!  ;D

I have asked this question all over and have never gotten a solid response:

Has anyone READ that comic with the supposedly objectionable material? What's the deal? Profanity and sex are non-existent in the SW universe, and I don't see how the violence aspect could be that objectionable, so I'm dying of curiosity what could be so controversial?

I think Adam Pawlus just answered a question about this on GH yesterday, did not sound optimistic.

It's really great to see the deluxes getting a little more love and not continuing their [sic] existence as a bunch of repacks.

Agreed, wish we could say the same about the 2010 Battle Packs though...

Yeah, that photo array has me totally confused. Rex is listed as both TCW 50 and TCW 51. Appears to be a mix of cards...

I love the Bane figure, would have liked to have seen that included in the next wave.

How far down the line are they going to stick him though? He was not pictured with Wave 4 either.

Still, what if there's nothing you want?  That makes it even worse really. :)

It's a long drought on new things for some time it seems...  at least as Legacy goes.

This was the exact problem I had with the Ponds release. The timing was horrible. They had already released all their other exclusives and other new stuff before Ponds ever hit the shelves, so there was never anything I needed to get him free. I had to pay full retail price as a penalty for not waiting around to buy the other stuff.

This looks OK, but I think that they should have made a cockpit for a Battle Droid.  I know that that isn't accurate, but by making the ship interact with a figure, it enhances the playability.  These things should function as toys first.

I get your point Mike, and in general I agree, but I think two things kind of work against this one...

First, it's not really got a compartment big enough for a figure...  At least if we're comparing it (assuming here) to the current droid vulture fighter anyway.  I'm guessing the body is about the same thickness between the two, and the "heads" are the same size, which leaves little to no room for a battledroid to sit anywhere.

The other thing is they go out of their way designing these to transform nicely and be poseable too, so I think that nixes the real need for the cockpit feature.  I mean, as a kid, I think I'd like the big assed transformed droid better really.

Nothing against cockpits (if they're hidden like on the snail tank) or anything, I agree with the sentiment they add something, but on the droid fighter they'd have to compromise the sculpt to make it thick enough, and possibly the pull-out head for the droid's walking feature as well.

I love this thing...I could never quite figure out the difference between it and the Vulture Droid though, aside from the 2 heads.

There was a recent Q&A question alluding to this and I believe they said something to the effect that either this or the HMP would be out this year and the other would be out in 2011.

Is the next wave of BPs the wave filled with repacked figures? I could be wrong, but I think those are available online.

Not sure about the TLC ones, but the 2 TCW BP's are definitely both straight repacks, yes. They have been available online for awhile, but I'm in no big rush on these so I'm fine to wait them out at my local haunts.

Busy night last on eBay...a few good scores:

Picked up Admiral Ackbar's Probe-Wand and Ugnaught's briefcase because I needed these for my variants. Same seller, combined shipping made for an attractive opportunity.

Snagged the blue Jabba's Dungeon really cheap, although it is missing the branding iron so that will have to be a separate purchase. The overall condition and stickers were really good though, and I am increasingly drawn to the bargain auctions like this to piece my remaining missing items together.

Best of all though, I was finally able to score the vintage POTF Anakin Collector's Coin via a Best Offer. I wouldn't say it came cheap, but certainly a lot cheaper than any of the individual auctions I have seen over the past few months. I've never even bothered to buy the figure because I knew the coin was such a b*tch to track down and I needed them both. This is a HUGE relief.

I scored my STAP exclusive set this morning as well, and I really relieved to have it. I'm officially back OFF the Hunt now. (whew)

I will be curious to see how long it is before that next wave of BP's start showing up. At Toyfair Hasbro had them pegged for March.

Well, my obsessive compulsive tenacity paid off again...I took a little road trip this morning and I was finally able to snag this as well at one of the outlying TRU's. They must have been fresh off the truck, they had 3 of the STAP as well as the Speeder Bike. (Not digging the "dirty" deco on the Biker Scout) They also rang up at $17.99 as others have noted. Not sure why these are $2 cheaper than the regular sets, but I'm not complaining.

I agree with Pete, I actually like this more than I thought I would. The STAP deco is cool, convincingly distressed, and the battle droid looks a little more bad-ass than the standard issue clowns.

Well, after exhaustive research and several hours on the phones with TRU locations across VA...

How many TRU's do you have in your area  ???

There are 3 within the general metro area here and about 15-20 total within 100 miles driving distance. The really exhausting part is trying to explain to them what this item is and where to look for it on their own aisles. The first call I made took about 20 minutes (literally) and the subsequent efforts were not much better. That's really the root of my frustration I think, that I have to drive around looking for the thing instead of leveraging technology.

Jayson, thanks for your help...I really do appreciate it. I think you're probably right about how their computer reads the codes, it may be "short-cutting" the process and just looking at the generic assignment.

It's not a generic UPC. It is dedicated to the STAP only.

Well, after exhaustive research and several hours on the phones with TRU locations across VA, I can pretty much confirm that this is not the case.  >:(

When they look that # up in the computer, it shows counts for the whole deluxe vehicle/fig line, not the STAP specifically.

I had several stores say "yes, we have that" only to show up and there are none on the shelf. I've had several others scour the aisles and backroom for the specific item but they are never able to find it, despite showing multiples under that code.

It's really the Item # I am going to need, not the UPC. And since it is STILL not on their website, I guess I am SOL on ever finding this stupid POS.

If anyone stumbles acros this in NC, WVA, DC or Maryland please let me know and I will make the road trip. Thanks!

As a result my Nahdar Vebb forms are going in this week.

As are mine...this was a real wake-up call. Yikes!
