Originally I thought it was a different decal/sticker design for his body, but on closer inspection that doesn't seem to be the case. So the only difference I see are the brown coils on his feet, which on the early bird edition are yellow.

That's a bummer, and real shady if he knew it was a custom haircut (or was the barber himself.)  I'd say JediJman's suggestion sounds good. If the seller were to give you a partial refund and let you keep Luke, it would definitely be worth it to hang on to until you see another one. Might be worth it to keep even without the refund--it's a sweet kubrick.  If you resell it down the line and  mention the hairpiece in your auction you'd probably still get 20-30 bux for it.

Prices are high so far, so I'm gonna pass on this one like I have for the carded vintage anakin, han in carbonite etc. Too cool looking on the card and too expensive for me to open just for the small color variations. One day I'll track em all down loose though.   8)

I was digging that blue and green Garindan, but this new version is pretty nice too. I like the contrast of the cape with the muted green body. Maybe they added some chest deco to Luke.

Very cool. They really should've rolled this sticker body R2 and the upcoming chrome dome R2 into 1 figure, but other than that I'm quite jazzed about this set.  :)

Sweet collection and setup, Adrian! That galactic heroes sail barge fits in perfectly. Is that the carded chewbacca in the cantina bar photo? His coloring is pretty cool.

I also use a curio cabinet type thing to display my kubricks.  I was lucky enough to find it on my block, out for the trash, but in great condition. It was just around the time I got my first few kubs and it probably encouraged me to get more.  Here's a couple pics.

2) He has more than one ebay account.

I don't think I've looked at auctions from this seller (so this point is not directed  towards him or anyone else in particular),  but I'll say in general that I've seen shill bidding from certain hong kong sellers. Couldn't prove it 100%, but when you see groups of items selling for surprisingly high prices, then the same group of items pops up for sale by another seller, and the same ebay ids bidding and winning, something's fishy. Just be careful and remember that if you're caught up in a bidding war, there's always a chance you're just bidding against the seller's automated reserve price.

Yeah I like this one a lot. He'll make a nice partner for removable limbs C-3PO.

If you do an advanced search you can select which ebay sellers you don't want to include. I haven't been subjected to corndogcollectables greed and stupidity for quite a while now. I also include key words relating to Stanley Kubrick films for it to ignore and then save the search. I do an unfiltered search once a week or so but the search setting I have don't seem to miss out anything important.

That's awesome, thanks! Didn't realize it was possible to hide specific sellers. I will promptly block old corndog, though I'll miss seeing his rare and exotic treasures. Many don't realize that if you take Dodo Bodonawieedo out of the package and photograph him on a white background, his value will eclipse that of the entire sealed set.  ;D

Sir Real--That sucks indeed, especially if he made it seem like it was for his own collection. Hopefully next time you leave him out in the cold.

Anyone else get annoyed when they see ebay auctions from the seller "corndogcollectibles?"  I know anyone can charge whatever they want and more power to them, but to have to scroll past 100 listings of $400 Jar Jar Binks' and $200 K-3POs is getting old. Funny that when a Kubrick comes out that actually fetches $400, aka AT-ST driver, he charges $800.  ::)

When Luke is lost in the ice storm on Hoth, Han instantly gears up to save him. When some guy warns Han that the temperature is dangerously low, Han exclaims "That's right! And my friend's out in it!"

I feel pretty good about my ability to sell off half the the boxes with them going 2x this time around.  Sets of 6 + the the build are going for about $100 on Ebay, so I figured its worth the chance at a chase.

That was my thinking too. Suddenly it's kinda worth the gamble for the chase.

I went with BBTS for a box of 12 (first time ordering a box--very excited ;D)  Anyone pulled chases from BBTS or NCS boxes in the past?
