Saga Collection '06 / Re: Battle of Naboo Wave
« on: November 14, 2006, 06:01 PM »
I am really happy with Endor Luke.  Short of an all new figure or VOTC version, I think this is the probably the best Hasbro could have given us...nad he has been long overdue.

I have seen all of them except for the black Endor Trooper.  One Wal-Mart here had a bajillion figures on the pegs form this wave, easily the most figures I have ever seen at one store in a non-movie year...and not one single black Endor Trooper!

LOL, it is quite a liberating feeling...

I have been putting off on picking one of these up forever but, now that I finally got my hands on the HFG Battlepack and due to the fact that these are currently warming shelves at TRU, I think I will have to ask for one of these for Christmas.  I have the original, AOTC release but skipped the first CW re-issue and the ROTS version (even though I actually saw them on shelves, in Korea no less!).  This is just a classic look for the Gunship and these pics don't help me in resisting any!

Hey, thanks for this!  Those are some fine looking blasters...I might just have to order a set.  I really would like to see what else they come up with in the future!

The head sculpt might look a little iffy at this point, but there is no deinying that this will be the best Mace we have probably ever had.

Reaction seems to be pretty "meh" overall to this one.  I am looking forward to it...moreso now that the it has been revealed that the Stormies will be clean.  I was excited to be getting a couple more RFTs with different headsculpts and, finally, removable helmets with corrected paint aps.

I had a similar "unboxing" event earlier this year.  After spending all of last year stationed in Korea, I returned home to pretty much all of the Episode III stuff reeased up to February '06.  My wife was kind enough to track down pretty much all of the 3 3/4" figures as well as the deluxes and a few other items.  I have always been 99% an opener, but found it very hard to tackle such a nice, carded, collection of stuff all at once.  I put it off for quite a while and then, one day....

I too have been holding off on these.  My son's Vader Saber got destroyed by his cousins, maybe I will pick up one of these new ones as a replacement.  Anyone opened theors yet?  I am wondering how well the spring activation feature works...

Wow, I was looking for this all over earlier and then a little birdy sent me a PM, thanks little birdy ;)  Now it seems to be mirrored all over the place!

Pretty cool stuff, love the fighting between Anakin and Obi-Wan, looks like it disintegrates into an all out slug-fest!

Sorry, but i coudn't resist. Please don't ban me.

So is this the alleged picture of Gregg that was removed form the other thread???  That is just too funny!!! That isn't a Hogwarts shirt that he is wearing is it?  Oh man, that really makes my day!  Now everytime I read one of his lame ass posts at RS I can use this as a mental picture :D

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Distribution of Clone Wars Wave 3
« on: January 3, 2004, 02:33 AM »

I did manage to finally nab a few Tiin's from a tip from JediMac for $2.38 at Target.  No sign of Kit or the SA Clone Trooper.

Funny that the first wave was produced in mass aboundance, then wave 2 a little harder to find, and now wave 3 is nowhere to be found.  Sounds like poor sales in wave 1 shrunk the production of the subsequent waves of this lines figures.

I have an extra Tiin if anyone can't find one.

I've actually seen less of wave 2 around here.  I only spotted them all once, and a few, stray, lone figures from the wave (usually Obi-Wan) here and there.  I've seen a lot more of wave 3, though only the Clonetrooper once (so happy I picked up two at the time).  Who knows, in a few months they may all be wrming the pegs...well, except for the Clone Trooper I imagine.

I found the whole wave last night at my local Wal-Mart!  I also spotted a lone Luke at TRU a couple of days ago.

I've seen this wave in stores twice.  The first time I saw all three figures and nabbed two SA Clone Troopers as I had limited funds and thought those would be harder to find.  I hoped to pick up Kit and Saesee rather easily...I was wrong!  I didn't see this wave again for weeks, when I did I was lucky enough to pick them both up but there were no Clone Troopers to be found.  I have not seen this wave since.
