We had...ready...THUNDERSTORMS come through here and tear up the town. I mean litteraly, tear it UP! Lines down, trees, all sorts of ****, and then, the temp dropped to 30, and we had snow last night.

Jeeze.

We had a dusting of snow in Minneapolis/St Paul.  It was mostly slushy wet stuff, but some of it stayed on the ground.

Got a little bit yesterday, but none of it stuck around, thankfully.

We got our first taste of snow yesterday as well.  It snowed pretty much solid from 9 AM to about 2-3ish in the afternoon.  Nothing huge, maybe an inch or a little more...covered the grass, but didn't really stick to the pavement much.  We were forecast to have up to 6 inches, and we got one.

Brian points out one of my pet peeves...during "Sweeps" month on TV any little chance for snow turns in to the weather event of the century and forecasts tend to double their predictions.

Meh, we got it about a week ago, maybe a little more.  Left work it had been raining all day, by the time I got home it was snowing - nice, wet, heavy snow.  It stayed, go figure.  Snowed again some time in the interim, so maybe a total of three inches so far.

The big difference for us up here though is that this is not going to go away, it will be white until spring, sometime between February and April :'(

We are under 2nd snow advisory of the year.  Tonight, they think we'll get up 6 inches more of the wonderful, white stuff.  I suppose, winter is finally here.

None in Pittsburgh yet save for some flurries the other day.  I don't know about today since I didn't do anything but lay here with a headache.

We had massive wind gusts today though, and they actually closed school (why, I do not know) in my area.  The gusts were bad, but I recall going to school on icey roads just because the principal could get there so he felt every kid on every back road (he lived along the highway) could get there too.  I guess they have a new principal though and she's apparantly a bit of a puss when it comes to weather.

One fart cross-wise and the world apparantly needs to shut down.

I think I've been living in Saskatchewan too long, but I'm actually wanting it to snow.  Now that it is December, the Christmas month, I am now officially allowing it to snow.  :)   Don't get me wrong, I don't want the -40C weather, but -10C with a foot of snow and NO WIND is just fine by me.  Bring it on, baby!

I doubt anyone cares, but now that I am in Albany, I have seen just as much snow in a couple of days here compared to all of my years in Austin. I can't wait for the real stuff to come down!!!!
