Customs Community and Group Projects / Re: New Update Finally
« on: November 15, 2005, 01:54 PM »
most of my internet surfing is done from work and i'm blocked from seeing a lot of websites, and not just the porn.  i can't view rebelscum, custom alliance or even the official star wars website so i can't view who exactly you guys are talking about  but here is scoobaca's website:

you've out done your self again chewie.  i love beasts of burden, they add a lot to the star wars universe and the trenchback blends in quite easily along with his handler.  question? friend or foe to our hero rykrof.  have you thought about giving the trenchback like a scare over his eye our a ring in his nose?  just curious.  if you or anybody else does another beast of burden i'd love to see somebody do one with like a robotic leg maybe some body good do a enhanced rancor with monster claw hands that could fight a ring ala clone wars season 1.  sorry didn't mean to take over your forum chewie, your customs kind of give me inspiration.

with VOTC, or whatever it's going to be called, on the horizon hopefully hasbro can do half as good a job on the scout trooper as this guy did on the BARC.

wow.  no really i mean just wow.  hasbro is put to shame once again.

tilo is really awesome i think i like him more than the other mon cal.  weequay is one of the best background characters to date the mix of parts just literally kicks a$$.  i'm almost finished doing that hooded anakin i just have to paint the arms and seal.  the only thing really different i left the robed right forearm on and cut the peg off the droid hand and cut the gloved hand off and pinned/glue the peg to the glove.  looks good so far.  originally i had just glued the peg to the glove and it broke off inside the hole.  i also have the same thing going with evo epii ani & pilot obi.

very impressive dressel.  everything looks very detailed.  i wish i had the nerve to try casting.

trandoshan-awesome, but the eyes totally make it for me.  he looks refined in his robes but also he could stab a claw right in your jugular at the same time.

clone pilots- great concept my only thing is the hoses and breather box thingy looks a little too big on him, too much like it belongs on a POTF2 figure than a ROTS figure.

plageuis-i have to agree with everybody else on this one so far.  he looks good but i don't picture him looking like that, maybe another Darth.  palpy referred to him as plagueis the wise not plagueis the friggin scary a$$ guy.  subtlty had become the Sith's most powerful weapon, not fear.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: Battle of Geonosis Wave
« on: November 8, 2005, 03:31 PM »
sora except for the knees looks to be balljointastic, couple of customs will come from him, just on the head alone.  the commando looks to have about as many joints as the ARC Trooper, his legs even look to be in the same stance as him.  the rest kind of suck and i think i'll be fairly unintrested in this one.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS Gunship - Where the hell is it?!
« on: November 1, 2005, 01:22 PM »
check your local Kay-bee's boy's and girls.  over the weekend i saw a total of 5 gunships in the 2 kb's closest to my house.  of course i had to buy 3 of them, keep them away from those scalpers.

hemble that is really great.  if i wasn't so familiar with this figure i would never have thought you could get that much detail to come out of a 3 3/4 figure, it totally looks like i would have to be a 12 inch.  i would really love to see you do a version of the crispy Anakin and the Evo emperor.  if you can pull that much detail out of obi i'd really like to see your take on these other 2.

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: MetalJedi's Customs Updated 10/25!
« on: October 26, 2005, 04:03 PM »
looks good metal the only thing besides a little battle damage, might i suggest simply repainting his boots and the inner robes that show through around the neck and chest chest so it doesn't look too much like kit fisto and him shop at the same jedi store.  you know how weird it would be to show up at one of those jedi temple shin digs wearing the same outfit as somebody else.  "how embarrassing" as Yoda might say.

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: peg heads to ball heads
« on: October 25, 2005, 03:37 PM »
thanks for all your help you guys it's much appreciated.  i'll let you everybody know how i did on the fodder heads.  and if it works like i hope it will i'll try it out on the actual heads i want to swap with. and yes phruby FFURG definately needs and update, it seems like most of there stuff is POTF2 as far as recipes/references/and how to's go anyway.

jeff good idea on the trading out the elastic for a gun belt if ever get my hands on the new wook i think i'll try that.  i've cut the braids off one of my previews and if done right it looks pretty good, in my opinion.  chewie good looking imp officer, i definately hope hasbro rehashes him hopefully with different paint apps.  and glassman i think chewie might actually have like a sweatshop of jawas doing customs for him too because man i swear there's like a new one everyday.  i think you don't give yourself enough credit though chewie saying they're not complex.  any body can boil & pop a figure slap some paint on it and call it a custom, but you you can take something as simple as that imp off must have been for you to do and make it 10x better then what i could do and apparently what hasbro is willing to do.

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: peg heads to ball heads
« on: October 24, 2005, 06:43 PM »
well i kind of got the idea like i said i'm sure i just have to cut off the neck and dripp into the head a bit with the right sized bit but i don't want to melt a head by drilling it to fast, or anything like that.  i don't have that much in the way of fodder i usually only buy what i know i'll use/need and don't have much extras much less have say a spare eu luke head just laying around in case i give him his brain a sun roof.  so thanx for any tips.
