Damn...  Well, worth a shot.

Back in the closet under things with feces stains he goes come May I guess.  :)

Welcome to, and have a good one...

Original Trilogy Collection / Re: VOTC C-3PO on Ebay??
« on: November 19, 2004, 01:38 AM »
If I hadn't gotten it for cost from Blue Harvester, I would NOT have bought one.  I like having it for completeness sake, but this and R2 are the worst of the lot IMO.  Even old Ben had more interest out of me than those two.

3PO though is a bad figure.  Just bad.

In honor of his possible feature film debut (is he in anything beyond TV and "theatre" ever?), and brought up by DeanPaul...

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Anyone Gonna See Sponge Bob?
« on: November 19, 2004, 01:19 AM »
Hmmm...  Good thoughts there.

Spongebob, I find, to be a good mix of "kids and adults" kind of humor.  Kinda like Toy Story, or Monsters Inc.  I don't know that the Spongebob film will be as good as a Pixar flick, but I'm curious to see it.

Of course I'll have children with me...  I wouldn't go without renting one or two.

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Antilles/Ozzel/"Angle Cut Arms" & Fun!!!
« on: November 19, 2004, 12:56 AM »
Yes, you too can enjoy the fun of simply re-arranging the left and right arms of your mundane human officers from Saga!  :)

OK, perhaps this only works on a few, but...

Captain Antilles, if you take his right and left arms, and simply replace them, and then swap the hands around so they're correct of course, creates Antilles with a very VERY neutral, "Straight" arm pose.

He can still do the hands behind the back "at ease" pose, but now he can hold a blaster out like he's gonna shoot someone and it looks normal.  The choking feature's gone, but it's a much more neutral and useful set of arms.  Much more diverse in poses.

Ozzel works pretty much the exact same way, though the effect's not 100% as cool as Antilles.  It is still quite great actually.  I highly recommend trying these moves with your figures though.  Makes the Ozzel and Antilles BOTH a much better figure for army building/customizing since the arms are now not nearly as awkward looking when in front of the figure.  Much more natural, and all you need is new heads, and you've got a nice army of officers for your troops on either side of the Galactic Civil War.

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Anyone Customize any Madines?
« on: November 19, 2004, 12:52 AM »
I'm wanting to do a Riekean at one point or another...  He's about the same build as the figures available, more or less.

Madine's uni isn't the same as Dodonna's, and visa versa, so I'm not interested in really swapping them out.

A Madine as Imperial though, since that's his history supposedly, now that's interesting.  :)  Anyone trying that?

I envision Dodona/Riekean as Rebel Fleet Officers, and Madine's an officer for Special Forces, and I separate the two as almost unique entities of the military.  Something like how the SS and Wermacht (for lack of a "good guy" reference) were separate entities with unique uniforms.

I'm gonna start a new topic for this, but check it out.  It's about Antilles' arms.  Works with Ozzel too!  May work with other figures as well.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Episode III - Preview Figures (SPOILERS)

Great stuff...

The Anakin fighter, if to-scale, could be incredible.  I was always a little disappointed in the E2 fighter that it was too "action feature" layden like all the figures, and they passed on it having working rear landing gear.

If it did it'd have been a very accurately scaled ship.  Damn that "attack mode" feature though, that wasn't anywhere in the film.   ::)

Uh, hi...  Anyone in particular you're looking for?  I have a used Rick McCallum available sometime after May.

Watto's Junk Yard / Anyone Gonna See Sponge Bob?

I guess I am...  Looks sorta funny.  I have a weird fascination with Sponge Bob ever since I saw a couple episodes...  I mean, the fact Pantera was playing some music for them made me laugh out loud.

I'm not a huge cartoon fan...  Never really got into adult swim and that stuff (I loved Spaceghost but I don't even see him on anymore), but Spongebob caught my attention, so I watch.

Helps when you've got kids in your life to see the finer points of some of the kids shows.  SB being one of them.

9 chances out of 10 the NE is always last to get anything.  I think it's all the pot
hole filled roads myself.  Truckers don't wanna come up.

The tank you speak of Famine is the 1:6 scale Stuart tank.

It's made for the 12" action figures by 21st...  I'd like one myself.

21st had a little video of it set to music on their site, and the thing is
really incredible.  Going up steep hills, turret moving.  Looked like a blast.

Greg(g) thing is exactly what I thought...  Good eye to get it before removed.

Nice man...

The jets are friggin' HUGE I hear.  Definitely a put down to anything Hasbro
has offered up IMO.  Giant, and definitely worth their price.  Most I've seen them
ring up around is $80 or so, and that's online.  I hear they're cheaper
at TRU stores.

Not that I've seen one at a TRU, but I digress.
I'd like to nab one...  Something in a general paintjob...  Nothing special
like the blue angels or the fictional black jet I hear is shipping.

I only want one jet though.  I can't go overboard on those.  I can't afford the $
or space for all the WW2 planes I've got, much less modern stuff which dwarfs
the old planes.  :)

The computers settings and the pegs haven't transitioned together.  I'm hearing about this all over the place.  The publicly shown price is the price though...  It's false advertising otherwise, and you'd have a gripe WAY beyond the service desk if they tried saying "welp, you gotta pay $5.88".

That's a bigtime no-no, and could be argued as false advertising (or simply, lying), or "bait & switch" selling in a way.

They just don't have their crap together though, that's all.

Middle Earth / Re: LOTR Trilogy Figures

I'll try finding them Morg, but so far only one sighting in my neck of the woods unfortunately, and sold out.  I'll try though!

I've always gotten along with LJ, but I have to admit that what's being said is true.  She's a post-count/padding champion.  She always has been, and it's cost her respect from a vast majority.

I don't mind DBB as a person either...  I think LJ and DBB are probably good people.  The same can't be said for my opinion of the other monkeys in the cage, like Yoda Boi, General Windu, etc...  Those guys irk the **** out of me because their personalities are in the toilet along with their habits at the site.

That said though, DBB and LJ tend to not represent ideals in behavior, especially from a site that bitches about post-padding like Scum does.  They hired GNT though, so the tone has been set.  What can you really say about it at this point?

Anything's fair game I guess.
