Other Collectibles / Re: Attakus Star Wars Dioramas
« on: May 17, 2005, 12:32 PM »
I merged the 2 Attackus Threads.   I'll leave this merged version in the "Other Collectible" section for now since it is not a Hasbro 3.75" figure item (even though it seems to be geared towards that).    ;)

I hope I never see one of these in person or I will probably want it...  :-\

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Target Exclusive Clone Trooper
« on: May 17, 2005, 11:45 AM »
Would anyone have even bothered with these if Target had gotten their original request of having the Target Logo on the chest?

Yes, even if they had the Target Logo for markings, I'd still want two - one loose, one carded.  :-[

The latest word in fashion: 7 is the new 3 3/4

I still think this line is Hasbro trying to convince us that Larger figures are "awesome".   ::)

Anyway...

Han Solo w/Stormtrooper Disguise:

Luke Skywalker w/Backpack Skiff:

And the first re-hash, Darth Vader w/Cape Glider:

Revenge of the Sith / Re: RotS Figures on Sale Thread!
« on: May 13, 2005, 10:17 AM »
We've received a few reports that figures will be going on sale at Target next week to coincide with the movie's release week.

A few things of note:

$4.99 basic figures
$14.49 electronic lightsaber
$17.99 lego starfighter & vulture droid (15% off selected lego)
$5.99 micro vehicles

Maybe it's not much of a deal ($0.25 per basic figure), but it's better than nothing!  Check your Target ads on Sunday!

Any plans of doing a Target Clone giveaway in the future?  If so, I submit my name right now!  ;D

Not yet.  We've still got a pretty big pile of loot to get through, but it is possible if one of the staff gets their hands on an extra Target Clone!   ;)

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Bonus Clone Troopers!
« on: May 13, 2005, 09:03 AM »
Has there been any word of these two bonus figure sets being found anywhere other than Kohl's so far? I just can't believe that a store like Kohl's would be getting Star Wars exclusives, when they hadn't ever even sold the figures (that I know of) until just a month and a half ago. Seems strange.

Actually, Kohl's has carried the figures for the launch of each prequel movie, they just don't carry them much after the first few months is all.  They will get in figures here and there as each new line is launched, but they are not a regular SW retailer at all.

All the info we have received thus far from Hasbro indicates that these will only be available as Kohl's exclusives...

Revenge of the Sith / Re: "Evolutions" assortment...
« on: May 12, 2005, 01:42 PM »
The new Insider magazine has mention of a third Evolution set tentatively titled "Evolution of the Sith."

It includes Maul, Dooku and the Emperor. Maul and Dooku look like kit bashed figures but the Emperor looks to be all new.

You mean like these:  ;)

All 3 of the figures are brand new and they kick ass.   :)

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS - #57 and beyond
« on: May 12, 2005, 01:17 PM »
I was under the impression that after 56 comes a new line - all 6 movies wrapped up into one, starting with the Early Bird figures.

Hasbro kinda squished that talk at their QnA at C3...

They made it sound like the EB Kit was a 1-off kinda deal and that there would be more RotS figures in the winter (late fall) leading into new OT products next year.

Kubricks / Series 4
« on: May 11, 2005, 10:41 PM »
I figured that since Series 4 was just around the coner, I better finish off Series 3.  Wicket and Paploo finally have another friend!

I nabbed him for less than the $90 he usually goes for, so I'm happy...  :)

I can take a better picture when I get home tonight

As promised, a closer look at the case "lock nubs" variation:

It's not much, but I'm sure the variations guys will want to track one down...

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Wookiee Army
« on: May 11, 2005, 10:01 PM »
Picked up the darker "chocolate" wookiee today, thought I'd post a nice comparison shot...

I like both, the color change is a nice touch to making the Wook army just a tad bigger!   :)

Robb bought two loose figures from me and was kind enough to zip along payment in a speedy fashion.

Enjoy your Clones Robb!

Welcome to JediDefender, pakledjim!

Hope you find the place to your liking.   :)

Ah! I see, but you do realize that pakled means sheep or is the classification of sheep?

Wait, so do you like Star Trek or Sheep?  Do I even want to know the answer?   :-\

The Original Trilogy / Re: Vader/C-3PO
« on: May 11, 2005, 04:50 PM »
Like I said, for me, I'll go with the "Vader never got a good look at 3PO" to solve that one.

Then, I'll go with "Obi-Wan is a liar, from a certain point of view" to solve the Obi-Wan/R2 problem.

I guess we can just say that Obi-Wan was being cautious when he said he didn't remember R2 and 3PO.  He sure as hell wasn't going to tell Luke that the droids once belonged to his real parents or that this 3PO unit was built by Darth Vader himself...

Obi-Wan seemed to work off a "need to know" basis when revealing info to Luke, so I'll just assume that's why he pretended not to know the droids...
