How long are we going to make this draft?

10 rounds with 2 FA pick-ups?

11 rounds with 1 open slot on our bench for a FA?

or a full 12 rounds?

Getting a bit slow with my posts...

Jared hooked me up with the Holo-Emperor from SWShop.com!  Very quick to help out!

Thanks again for the assist!

Just looking around, KBZ hasn't been anywhere (Scum, GH, JD) since 3:30pm...

AND, now that I look, I haven't seen him poke in here yet?  Has anyone PMed him to let him know it's his pick... at least that way he'll pick tomorrow.

I'm getting sleepy and think I'm headed out for the night.... I'll check back in tomorrow AM.

Boy, how about that Mussina-Schilling Showdown?

Great pitching by both bullpens though...  ::)

Wait?

So, Hasbro holds a pseudo "Fan-Choice" poll, where the fans ended up picking the Scan Trooper for release.

Then, Hasbro cancelled the main case he's shipping in?

 ::)

For crying out loud!  How hard is it to make and ship these things??? >:(

Got my rotj vOTC today!   ;D

I am SOOOOO impressed with these 4 figures.  Even R2 is much better than I was expecting.  Granted, maybe he isn't worth $10, but he is a great multifaceted R2 nonetheless.

And Chewie.  Dang.  He is sooooo cool.  Mine isn't too yellow-furred, so he look fantastic.  If I were a kid, I don't think I'd go anywhere without my vOTC Han and Chewie... ah, heck who am I kidding.  I am seriously thinking about grabbing another Han and Chewie just so I can have a set to keep at my desk at work.

vOTC Han and Chewie are my new favorite SW figure, hands down, no contest.

Fett is so articulated, and I seem to like him a bit more than the pre-posed 300th Fett.

Stormtroopers...  :)  It is taking all of my will power to trade off my 3 extras.  I want to army build this guy SOOOO badly, but I am trying my hardest to wait it out to see if/when they are re-released or clearanced.  THEN, if they get cheaper, I'd army build this guy til the cows come home...

Overall - A+

Maybe I'm not critical enough, but I LOVE this wave.

Last year in my Basketball draft at work, I named my team "Washington Generals" and filled the roster with goodie two-shoes and white guys like Mark Madsen and such.

Needless to say, I did very poorly  :(

Yes, the mighty

5. Thug Squad Ballers

is indeed my team.

My squad is named after my intentions for the draft...

Every guy I pick will have "street cred" as well as maybe a stirke or two against him as far as substance abuse goes. Nothing but the crazies and thugzz on my squad and that shouldn't be too hard in the NBA  ;)

Why? Too cold in Minnesota?

No, it's indoors so we can swim around naked without scaring the neighbors people oogling us... :P

This is what we used to "weather-proof" the new wood...

Seasonite New Wood Treatment

Brand New Deck

"It's important that all wood, whether it's pressure-treated pine, cedar, or redwood, weathers properly before you apply a penetrating oil finish like CWF-UV for long-term protection. During this weathering period, excess water evaporates from the wood, and the mill glaze wears off of smooth wood, allowing the wood fibers to open up. Only after this happens is the wood porous enough to accept a penetrating finishing coat.

An immediate application of Seasonite to your deck (or siding and fences) provides a slow, steady, weathering period. The movement of moisture into and out of the wood is controlled. In addition, Seasonite helps maintain the wood's natural color and keeps it looking new longer."

Got the tip from Bob Vila himself on one of those wood-working shows on Cable!  You put this stuff on to let the wood weather slowly.  Then when you stain it in 6 months, it looks even better because the stain penetrates deeper and you won't hav eto re-stain quite as often to keep it looking great.

As for the color, it will probably take my wife all winter to decide which shade of red cedar goes best with our blue siding... ;)

Thanks for the kind words guys! :)

We were very happy to get done over these last 6 beautiful weekends before the cold and rain and eventual snow arrive :(

So you're all done with the staining/waterproofing too, I assume? Go get some deck furniture now! 8)

Waterproofing yes, but they recommend letting the wood "age" for 6months before staining. So, next spring will be another round of washing, staining and water-sealing.

As for the Deck furniture, it is fully assembled and waiting in the garage. Can't actually put anything on it until after we get the City Inspector's final blessing/sign-off (should be here this afternoon to do the inspection).
