Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Clone 3-pk ...does it suffice?

This variant color thing could get bloody.  I was hoping Hasbro was going to do an all white set, then a variant all color set.  That would seem to not be the case.  I just really want one of each color, since I'm not going to build an army of these.  Hopefully they ship plenty of these, or the REAL Clone Wars will begin.   ;D

The first rule of JD.com is you don't talk about JD.com.

The second rule of JD.com is you don't talk about JD.com.

Nicklab is right on the money with his choices.  I'd also include:

Saga DF Padme - perfect except for the screaming
POTJ MOTD Maul - the best version of him easy
POTJ Mos Espa Qui-Gon - under that poncho, he's awesome
Saga SC Anakin - save for the cloak and disco ankles...

Correct, Darth Kenobi is.   ;D

A couple of Screen Scenes were mentioned once or twice and have since sort of faded into the background noise:

Lars Homestead
Hoth Wampa Attack

I'd like to see both of these, if they're legit.

I'm disappointed in the Super Battle Droid.  I'm only getting one of these droid sets anyway, but they could have given him the firing pose arm.

I don't think there will be so dramatic a drop off in interest after E3 that SW will just die at retail.  A lot depends on the fatigue and commitment of the collector base, which has been large enough to sustain the line after disatrous flame outs before.  SW would disappear between films at retail if not for this base; every other line does, and no other line has this staying power.

As for a third trilogy, I wouldn't mind it, but I can't imagine how Lucas would approach it.  One thing I'm sure of is that SW will not disappear without a trace.  Cartoons, TV shows, books, comics... it will survive.   ;D

Right on, Chewie.  Internet all the way for me until this thing works itself out.  And even then, I don't know.  I've been ordering on line since the fall of 2001, because of the POTJ distribution problems, so...

It could end up like E1/POTF2, but then that was four assortments retailers were dealing with, and this is two.  Both have obvious distinctions (CW=kids, Saga=collectors) so it may not be that bad.  Unless of course this nonsense with not being able to find figures continues.

I think they know the collector base will asorb that many figures a year, but that means you have to get them out in a regular fashion.  Like everyone else mentioned, it's June, there's nothing doing.  There's either going to be a massive glut of backlogged 2003 stuff about to hit (further delaying current and future releases) or we're just never going to see it.

I think those Obi/Jango Deluxe figs are doomed at retail.  No one's stocking them, and Target skipped them altogether.  Now we have the CW 3 packs replacing them shortly.  I'm glad I ordered from Newforce.

I think Saga will do just fine, and both will continue into next year.  Hasbro is going to use the CW line to broaden its EU horizons.  I bet you a dollar we're going to see figs like Quinlon Vos next year.
