Well, Hasbro DOES tend to learn from its own mistakes...

Oh wait, no they don't.

Great post, I am going to look for these today...thanks!

Not a purchase, but a sighting: both new tvc battle packs (naboo/bespin) @ Target today. They had 2 of each, but all were in pretty banged up packages. Will be curious to see how quickly these sell through...

Another local collector found the Tarkin/Starkiller wave at Walmart across town today...he texted me earlier. That is one stunning score, things have been really bleak lately as far as the prospects for new figures here. Hope to see more of these around town soon...

1 of 3 things will happen I predict:

1) hasbro will have "plants" in the audience who will lob them easy softball questions

2) at the last minute they will announce they are not taking questions at all

3) for some bizarre inexplicable reason, none of the people who show up and stand in line to get into this thing will have had any problems getting new figures this year, so the torches and pitchforks never come out.

We need a Denis Leary/Lewis Black type of SW fan who will stand up and speak with righteous anger, but intelligently. I really hope this is the year.

I bought a Hawkeye and Black Widow at TRU today at lunch actually. Only the 2nd time I have ever seen them on the pegs anywhere.

Where'd you find that Dropship though? Was that from an online order or actual retail find?

That is my favorite of all the mini-rigs this year, if only for the BFG.

TRU has a sale going on for SW figures, playsets, etc...Buy One, get One 40% off.

Absolutely nothing at my store worth buying though.

So...as much as I loathe the entire concept, curiosity got the better of me and bought a couple of the Before Watchmen comics...Nite Owl and The Comedian. I guess there are other out but I probably already missed them.

The Comedian story was absurd...hanging with the Kennedys murdering Marilyn Monroe, whateves.

Liked the Nite Owl story a lot more, seemed much more in tune with the original spirit and look of the Watchmen. JMS always delivers the goods.

The bonus pirate tales stuff is a nice touch as well. I guess I will pick up the rest of these but I hope that is the end of it and they let this franchise rest in peace. I do not want to see Watchmen 2 a few years from now. Unless Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons are running that show...

Why? GOTG seems like a really obscure selection...I see now why they keep making toys of these things.

CGI Rocket Raccoon? That does not sound good.

Where the hell is that Darkchylde movie John Carpenter has been working on?

Clone Wars figures have already been close to $10 here at Target and TRU, so that wouldn't shock me in the least.

I don't even mind all that much either, it's not like they're trawling out many figures in the line anymore, but I do resent having to pay more for figures with reduced articulation and poor paint apps.

You can't charge MORE money for INFERIOR product...that's a 1-2 punch to the gut no one can accept easily. Seems to be the way of things though.

Finally locked down one of my "Grail" items tonight...a carded DROIDS Boba Fett.

This is no pageant-winning card...it's got about every kind of conceivable damage you could possibly imagine...bends, rips, warped bubble, etc. But the figure and coin are totally intact and unharmed, and the bubble is still completely affixed, so there's that.

I'm not terribly picky about card condition, especially for old stuff like this, so it's not really a big deal to me. I guess I could have held out and hoped to score one for less than a thousand bucks at some point, but that seems increasingly unlikely. This one was much more in my comfort zone, price-wise. (Still not cheap though)

Anyway, my DROIDS carded collection is now officially complete, many hundreds of dollars later.  ;D

Hmm, there's always still Vlix, I guess.

One thing that would go a long way to fixing all of this is to axe Movie Heroes/Legends all together. Two lines tops, one movie, one animated, distinctly different packaging so as not to confuse the brands.

I wholeheartedly agree with this statement. Like, 1000%.

THE BP scanned OK, yeah. I will have to go back to check on the Class I sets at Walmart, that store is a little off the beaten path for me.

Good tip on the Bossk...I may pick one up tonight. I was hoping to snag an opener UBP on some kind of sweet clearance but that is not how TRU rolls, I guess.

I did purchase a Hostage Crisis BP that reappeared at my work Target for 50% off. I would have preferred it cheaper, but it's the only one left around town and I figured it would not last long. Nice to have something to open for a change.

Saw the Republic Sub and Recon Fighter Class I sets at Walmart over lunch. They hit first at Target here, then TRU, and finally Wally now. The shelf tag said 16.47, but I did not think to scan them, may have been even cheaper.

Well, I've taken the plunge in getting a couple of these sets for Colin to play with.  I got a good deal on the wilderness adventure set in great condition and even had the original box!

I will be on the hunt for the Northwoods Trailblazer set (with the yellow jeep) and then I will call it quits until Colin is more interested.

Ha ha, sure you will!  ;)

I am thinking I will have to pick some of these guys up soon too. I almost hate to dive into another line, but the nostalgia factor is too hard to resist.

At least they're not prohibitively expensive on the secondary market...
