Got a report from another fellow collector today that 2 cases of Wave 11 AND Wave 12 hit at the busiest metro Target here. He snagged the last armored Savage of course, but I still might try to make it out and pick up another Chewie or Evan Piell.

I always pick the wrong stores in my daily rotation!

So the images on the slides they showed for these - were they purely artists' conceptions? I was under the impression all the groundwork had already been done - tooling, sculpting, etc.

It seems like they would have had to have been  pretty far along in the production process to have offered sneak peeks at these mini-rigs.

I just figured these had been delayed or pushed back indefinitely, not axed altogether.

That would be a really cruel tease to have shown those things, especially Obi-Wan's ride, and then not follow through on them EVER.

The news just gets better and better for Clone Wars fans.  :(

Really good episode last night...the whole scene in the creek bad was freaking awesome from start to finish. Ripping the arrow out of your own abdomen, cocking the crossbow, and then firing that thing point blank right into the zombie's brain just before it eats you...does it get any better than that?

I was disappointed we got gypped with a "hallucination Merle" rather than the real thing but whatever. Writers love stupid mis-direction crap like that. I guess he was Darryl's "chupacabra du jour".

I like that Darryl is sort of wrestling internally with his own identity, kind of an opposing parallel to Shane. Darryl's a good guy who was probably told his whole life he was a bad guy and is struggling to emerge from that shadow. Shane is clearly heading in the opposite direction.

It's cool to see Andrea sort of morphing more into her comic book character, the sharpshooter of the bunch. Great line by Dale too..."we've all wanted to shoot Darryl".  :D

Cool twist with the barn, you know that isn't going to end well. P-whipped or not, I can't see Glyn agreeing to keep this a secret for long. I suspect the walkers in there are probably friends or kin of the old man, and he is keeping them around in the hopes that they can be "cured" at some point. Good luck with that.

Sucks about the "fall hiatus" - that seems completely unnecessary. The show has been off the air for over a year already!

Sweet victory!!

I got a call this morning from a fellow local collector who scored all of Wave 12 on a happenstance stop at TRU this AM, so I hightailed it over to my local store and sure enough, they had gotten a truck overnight too. (!)

I check every Thursday religiously because that's their schedule, but with the holidays they seem to start getting these "rogue trucks" that show up with only a few hours notice.

Anyway, I immediately spied Colt on the pegs which I knew was a good sign since he is the carry-forward with this wave, so I grabbed that and then saw Jar-Jar and snagged him as well. Chewbacca and Evan Piell were right up front but I had to dig around about for armored Savage and the astromech. At first I thought I had missed them but luckily there was one of each left. Holla!  ;D

They must have gotten 2 cases because I saw doubles of Shirtless Savage and Jar-Jar, but luckily I was able to score all 4 of the new guys plus extras of Jar-Jar and Colt just for kicks.

Best part of all was the $7.99 price tag, which beats the heck out of HTS, eBay, etc. SO glad I held out for these. Something about buying the figure off the actual peg just makes it feel more legit to me.

My buddy is actually giving me dibs on his set as well since he is not as much of a Clone Wars enthusiast, so I actually have 2 full sets of this wave, meaning I am technically done.  :)

But armored Savage is like the Aqua Droid, so fiendishly awesome that it will be almost impossible to resist buying every one I see.

Really, really happy to have finally found these after all the fruitless searching. I feel like I can now kick back to just the occasional store runs and wait for that Mando Attack Shuttle and the Walmart exclusives to arrive, and the inevitable Republic Attack Shuttle deep discount.

Yay toys~

Frankly I'm surprised it took them this long. How did Dark Horse score those though? I figured there would be some bigger players vying for that action.

Yes, the show was originally planned to run for 5 seasons.

So, if there are really only 5 more as-yet unrevealed figures for 2012, is it too much to hope they will all be new figures and just more stinking repacks?

It's nearly impossible to narrow it down, but here are the ones I would like to see just from last season:

Mother Talzin
Generic Nightsister
Trandoshan Hunter
Son
Daughter

I know, fat chance. They'll probably use those spaces for more ARF repacks, R2's, anakins and obi-wans.

Maybe with the CW slowdown, they'll reship harder-to-find figures like Seripas, Chewbacca, and the armored Savage Opress. At least. this guy hopes so.

No, they already blew that by deciding to re-release the Shirtless version rather than the one going for 80$ on eBay right now.  ::)

Chewbacca is being carried forward, but being that we already know 14 of the 19 figures for next year, they better not use ANY of those remaining five spots for repacks.

Dang, Hardcase...you didn't even live to see your figure hit the pegs. Then again, I may not either the way distribution is going lately.  :D

Another good episode, wish we could have seen a bit more of the missiles and what kind of damage they were inflicting though. Some cutaways to whatever's going on with Obi-Wan would be nice too.

Krell is like, the worst Jedi ever. Who the hell was his master anyway?

I still think it's unclear whether it is 19 NEW figures or 19 figures TOTAL. (edit: NM, I just went over to RS and they do indeed confirm 19 TOTAL figures - UNFNBLVABLE!)

I just don't understand how you can only release 19 figures total over 12 months for a line that is supposedly selling well.

Yes, the BP has to be the Republic Troopers one.

2 of the deluxe sets are no doubt the Boba Fett & Speeder and Obi-Wan and Attack Shuttle. I would assume the other 2 are NOT the long-awaited Walmart exclusives. The other 2 could be those long rumored sets Republic Stun Tank And Mace Windu and BARC Speeder And Luminara Unduli, but those both seem out of place now.

Any mention of midsize vehicles? No big ship either next year I take it?

Honestly, I think that is a real shame and it seems incredibly stupid and short-sighted to me to neglect the line in this way. But on the other hand, you can't find any new stuff in stores any more anyway, so it is that much less to get frustrated about. Overall though, I feel like they are pushing collectors like me and Pete out of the hobby with this nonsense.

I can't even really work up a good rant about this, collecting this line has really not been fun for some time now. Maybe next year will bring some fresh new perspective for me.

Yeah, it's a bleak situation out there, for sure. Considering that Wave 12 was first spotted at the end of August, this is the longest amount of time I have ever spent looking for any wave of figures. I was sorely tempted to go the HTS route too, but Wave 12 was sold out last time I checked and I just can't bring myself to bite the bullet on all that filler garbage.

In addition to Pete's TRU find, I did see a couple of reports over at RS of people finding this wave at Target now, so hopefully that continues to spread.

I hit up 2 Walmarts, 2 TRU's and a Target this morning and the most interesting thing I saw was a Comm. Wolffe.  ::)

Pete, outstanding score...I can only imagine how surprised you must have been to have seen those sitting on the pegs. I think if I ever saw an armored Savage on a peg someplace I would probably have a heart attack.

That's also notable because to my knowledge this is the first confirmed sighting of the wave outside of a K-Mart or Walmart.

I still see a MOC Eeth Koth every week at this one Walmart I check, so if you ever end up with a surplus of any Wave 12 figs, even the crappy astromech, LMK.

Disagree, of all the parade of despicable scumbags in this story, Paterno bears the least culpability. He reported the abuse when it came to his attention and is not in any way, shape, or form a target of the criminal investigation.

I can understand the argument that he should have done more or did not pursue the matter vigorously enough, but that is a moral failing, not a criminal or institutional violation. They really had no grounds to fire him because there was no actual breach of contract on his part.

I don't think he is getting off easy at all, he's being forced to retire under a cloud of disgrace and his legacy will forever be tainted, right or wrong, because of this shameful tragedy. And more to the point, I do believe he is devastated by everything that has happened and will bear a lot of regret and sorrow over this until the day he dies.

Sandusky should simply be beaten to death with a ballpeen hammer, cut into pieces, lit on fire, and dumped into a landfill with the rest of the filth. Abhorrent piece of garbage.

Wow, it's been 24 hours now and I can barely even remember what happened in that episode. Glen got laid, check. Well walker - cool. Lots of hand wringing from Rick.

So how did that dude even end up in the well? Did he just fall in? No one is concerned they have zombies strolling around the property?

Still don't get how the house is supposed to be safe with no motion detectors, fortifications, even a lookout of any kind. And no guns?

Yeah, it seemed clear that Sophia was hiding in that house, wonder why he didn't even mention this to the mom later. Seemed to give up a little quick on that.

Return of Merle should be epic next week. Cannot wait.

Thank you for adding "scamboogery" to the English lexicon, Smokin' Joe. You inspired the name of a not-so-classic Scatterbrain album.

Yeah, that was easily as good as the last episode if not better. Goldmine of toy fodder in these episodes, the fighters in particular look well scaled for the mid-size line.

I think, more than any others, these episodes have been successful in humanizing the clones pretty convincingly. They've definitely been building to this, but the payoff is more satisfying than expected. Credit to the writing.
