Thanks, that makes sense...I figured it had to be something like that. For some reason I guess I imagined that the lettering and date was not part of the mold, but some kind of imprint applied after the casting process. Not the case, I see.

From the few searches I've done lately on Ebay I've noticed how a lot of auctions are dominated by "Buy it Now" sellers with frankly unrealistic expectations. I don't know whether that's a reflection of the auctions I'm looking at, a change of selling style by sellers, or whether the auction sellers have left the site because of policy changes (like JJ mentioned).
You can see the lack of interest in fan forums and even eBay as all SW prices have dropped like no tomorrow. They do more harm by having such long droughts.
I don't get why people are so down on Brian's all the time. Yeah, they have expensive prices on new stuff like this, but so do a lot of other online retailers. No one is forced to buy from them - if the guy wants to sell figures at twice retail and some people are willing to pay that, then where is the harm exactly? It's not my cup of tea, but I'm not going to put them down for it. I have only ordered from Brian's once - they had a case of Legacy figures that worked out to $5-6 per figure with the sale they were offering, but seemed like a nice enough company to me.
I know I'm pretty late, but what exactly is the matter w/ the Pluorr comic that has made Hasbro pull it from it's Walmart initial run? I thought they had pulled it due to manafacturing problems. But from what I've read it seems that the comic itself is iffy.
We got these in... maybe a month ago? Pretty unremarkable as far as new stuff goes. Hopefully they'll be good for kids, because I wasn't able to squint and find a good reason to open a set yet.
