They even put those black spacers on the pegs to keep the figures out at the front of the peg...  Like that somehow makes it look more full or something.

I HATE that's lazy, half-assed and deceptive. Walk on back to the stockroom and pull a fresh case to re-stock the pegs already. If you don't have any in the back, order more. Just don't try to fake like your pegs are all filled, with only 1-2 figures deep at each peg. That's weak sauce.

I make it a regular habit now of re-arranging all the figures from each line into the fewest # of pegs possible, so there is plenty of available space for new figures to be put out.

The sad thing is, we've seen (almost) nothing of what would follow this wave in the TCW line, so for all we know they will just take a few months off until SDCC as in the past. That pushes Jet back even further into limbo.

I'd love to see a whole "lost" wave for this summer with Jet, Hondo, Aayla, and even the Cad Bane in Disguise figure. How sweet would that be?

Case assortments and updated photos are available for this wave at EE. Commander Jet remains MIA.  :(

I don't recall what exactly the postcards said, but something to the effect that they were backordered. There was no mention of not being able to fill the existing orders to my knowledge.

Wow...I'm all in now.

You usually get repaints, some new parts on an old body, etc.  If new basics are $8.99 each, and battlepacks are $25-ish...  It's kind of unrealistic to expect 4 new figures in a set.

That's part of the purpose of the topic...  Creative thinking to make something people (or at least collectors) want, which also fits precedents for battlepacks like re-using molds, limited new tooling, etc.

Ok, repaints and kitbashing is the next best thing to "new" so that would be fine w/me. I just don't want to see any more straight repacks of previously carded figures, which I realize is not the direction they are heading with these things.

That's awesome Pete, apparently some people are already getting the Postcard of Ultimate Doom. (backordered)

I'm seeing a lot of whining online about the Aqua Droid not being able to stand up. For the record, I have not had this problem at all. I don't think it's a question of inferior material, the thing is just top heavy, so you have to pose accordingly. It has so much articulation it's really not that hard to find a spot that works. (IMHO)

Meh, something with NO re-packs would really be more of a step in the right direction, IMO. 4 all new figures.

I don't see what is the big deal...I see crappy custom Vlixes on ebay all the time. Many of them on repro cards too. I would never waste a cent on that shiite, but it doesn't bug me that it is out there.

I'm officially fine with it if they decide to cancel V now. I am sick of the writing on that show. Why do the good guys lose EVERY WEEK?!?!

I want a new show where humans are constantly kicking alien ass.

Nice of them to throw a few bones to the fans by killing off the hateful Tyler and Ryan, but it was too little, too late.

Where the hell has Marc Singer been the past 15 years? Dude is still money.

A custom based on a prototype for a canceled vintage figure.  In my opinion, it's the best one out there.  Fits right in with the regular vintage line.  Here's a photo of the original wax sculpt:

I thought so! That is amazing, man. Where did you find that? Was it very expensive? (AND HOW CAN I GET ONE?!?!)

Whatever they are paying those 50 dudes working on-site, it's not enough. Those poor guys are fighting to save the whole damn country. Truly heroic in light of the tremendous personal risk.

I guess what's needed in the Star Wars community is some sort of equivalent to the "Council of Nicea" (to draw a simple historical comparison to the church council called by the Roman Emperor Constantine in 325 CE to determine an official religious cannon for Christianity) where Lucas and leading representatives of the EU community can hold a council and sit down and hammer out the "official" story line for Star Wars... Just a thought ;)

They already have a High Potentate of Continuity, that Leland Chee schmoe, he just does an abysmally poor job of managing that stuff. Or else they just keep doing whatever they want and he is faced with an impossible task of trying to sort it all out after the fact. One of those.

I tell you what, if I ever create my own universe, ain't nobody sticking their greasy little fingers into that shiite except me. Lucas was a greedy fool for franchising that stuff out in the first place. He should have maintained strict quality control from Day 1, and we wouldn't have the mess that we do now. (Or at least nowhere near as bad)

Wow, Wolffe sold out already!
