I agree with that aeseven...  Lots of quality effort on that figure.  I see the Navy SEAL roots there with some of the parts, but there's unique elements that make sense for aquatic Clones like the head lamp, the bulk...  Short of a little propulsion accessory (a Sea-Do type thing, SW style) it's pretty unique.  The pistol's even cool as it looks special for that trooper.

And of course our current one from TRIER we have for the giveaway here at JediDefender.com is equally well thought-out I believe.  Some quality aquatic Clones out there for something not even seen in the films! :)

I've heard she bet like $500k in a very short span or some such (I haven't followed it too closely), which irregardless of how much you have financially that smacks of gambling addict to me.  Not just the cute chick playing a game of craps for kicks or some such...  it's just a turn off really.

Like I heard she put like a really high ammount on the coin toss in the super bowl, and bet $75k on the game itself or something?  I'm not sure...  That seems pretty out of control to me though.  If I was Gretzky I wouldn't want that setting an impression upon my kids, I dunno.

I'm bummed nobody wanted a new battledroid.  My Clones are shooting at thin air these days...  or droids already laying on the ground due to their own weight.

1)  New SA Battledroid...  Good plastic, good paintjob, and at least as articulated as the E1 droids and able to stand just as well.  Hasbro, if you see this, you can do this guys...  come on stop being dicks about Battledroids here.

2)  SA Kashyyyk BARC Trooper...  name says it all, I want those Kashyyyk BARC Troopers.  Rifles and Carbines included, a removable helmet if Hasbro is nice that day.

3)  SA Mace Windu w/removable hand...  Gotta have the bad mutha SA with a good sculpt.  This should be the Pilot Obi-Wan counterpart.  I dont' care if they re-use SOME (not everything) of Obi-Wan Pilot's sculpt even to get this, they just need to get this to us already.

4)  SA Palpatine Senate Duel...  Multiple interchangeable headsculpts, and I'd like a cloth robe and super poseability, but that's me.  It'd be cool because you could hide a saber hilt in his sleeve even.

5)  Commander Gree Resculpt...  Could we get this done right please?  Super articulation, removable head, ACCURATE SCULPT & PAINTJOB.

6)  SA Galactic Marine (Mygeeto Snowclone)...  Cloth Kama would be nice.

7) SA Utapau Airborne Clone...  If this is the guy in the kama with the weird helmet helping out Cody's group, I'm all for this guy getting a figure straight away. :)

8 )  SA Neyo...  Can we get him with the Stass Alliee Bike?  I'd dig that.

9)  Aqualish Separatist Leader...  Just want this guy.

10)  SA Generic human male Jedi...  Overlooked, I'd like someone to have my 501st mowing down other than Lucas's kid, and human Jedi just aren't common enough as secondary figures.  Again, I'd take a re-use of Obi Pilot in a different deco even with a new head.

« on: February 14, 2006, 03:29 AM »
Glad on the sculpt on the Utapau grunt...  Perplexed why he's in this wave and why Hasbro didn't just put out a SA AOTC Clone instead.  It would've made more sense and sold equally well given the lack of armies I see of that style Clone.  I'd have bought more anyway.

Haven't caught this wave yet but looking forward to it some.  Sora Bulq I'm happy with that he's being done and he's pretty poseable up top at least but I still can't get over the knee joints Ook.  To me, the ankles should've been sacrificed for knees since you really can get a lot more out of the knees than you can those ankle joints.  Not that they aren't cool too, but they just don't come in quite as handy as good knee articulation does.  it's like Veers' boots swiveling at the top...  Why?  Just give him knee joints and you can swivel his boots around all you want AND have him running in battle or whatnot.  Not that he did, but he should be able to.

Sora and Scorch though, yeah it hurts them a LOT more that they don't have the articulation they deserve.  Two all action characters, and both limited in leg articulation.  Blah. :(

Yeah my Target's are beginning to overflow with new figures from the Hoth Wave...  Well, overflow is strong, but they're pegwarming now which was fast.  I blame price personally.  Even the AT-AT Driver, a good army builder, is around at Target.

WM is LOADED with Carkoon.  They really blew their load with that wave...  They're literally falling off the pegs there, there's so many of just Carkoon.  Every figure you want it's there...  if you want those figures.  Again, price ain't gonna help them.  I know I can't justify buying my doubles or repacks there due to cost.

The WM situation is same as always.  3, 4 figures here and there but nothing substantial.

Now Geo wave showed at Target (2 cases only again), and my buddy was there at opening to get them all.  Cleaned out the store and said there was plenty 'O Hoth around to be had.

I want my doubles, I want fodder...  But $7 is just too much.  I gotta cut back I guess and just deal without.  Only the Utapau Clone will sway me on that at this point.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: Kit Fisto's Jedi Starfighter
« on: February 14, 2006, 03:11 AM »
yeah, once we get a half-assed Mace Windu figure it'll be a fun ship to put him in. :)

I like it, it looks nice...  Little bummed not to have a good loose droid for it though, as I'm not a big fan of always displaying it with the droid inside, but I think the ship is quite nice whoever it may belong to.

Kit's will be welcome to if it's coming and is the ROTS sculpt.  The AOTC fighter lacked a bit to me due to the action feature but the ROTS one is spot-on so I'm all for the reuse of this beast.

Now where's my goddam blue McQuarrie A-Wing?

ya know that'd be funny if they just basically tanked the whole thing, it was too much of a headache and they just said screw this and tallied what they have and say that's the new figure.  That'd be priceless really.

Some goofy obscure thing will come out the winner as some kind of accident.  it'd be great. :)

Up to almost $400 and "reserve not met".

Alright, two Chase figures per case isn't as bad. But, it will bring in unwanted scum.

Exactly Anton...

Chase figures mean the sleeze will ooze out like the sweat they generate just by breathing somehow.  This past year has seen a spike as it is in these types.  Just take at trip on over that that otheR Site and look at the number of guys that are pretty openly doing this for financial gains.  A LOT more showed up there this past year than the one prior, that's for sure, and Hasbro's shooting for the stars trying to keep them into it.

This bothers me the most about this whole thing...  Hasbro limiting ANYTHING is just a big screwjob to the line really.  And while the pricks out there will be scooping these up, they'll also be more inclined to buy up those random extras they know we all want while they're there...  Goodbye Cody on any cardback.

In the past year it's clear to me Hasbro has realized adults are the core...  $13 Target Clones and other figures, overpriced exclusives galore, and now this whole big **** sandwich we can all take a bite out of.

that's a good eye In-Rem, it does look the same and not surprising given Hasbro likes to cheap it up as much as possible on those packs.  I was sorta surprised it seemed new, so maybe it's just more brand re-use of molds across the company.

I've been gloating about a literary analysis paper I wrote being published in a collection.  :)  Pathetic I know Spuffy but I'm having a comically good time telling everyone I'm published when in actuality about the only way you could read anything I wrote is finding it in an academic research database...

Made me SLIGHTLY proud, and gave me a good laugh at the same time.

I tend to pass the figures onto someone who wants them but their gear I find lots of uses for.

Though for mini-guns I'm gonna be lookin' for that Clone battlepack. :)

They're talking about it a lot around the U.S. I guess.  I know it was something they were talking up on the Stern show for the past couple days, and he's no fan of hockey or sports in general so it's making headlines.

Of course it made headlines bigtime in Pittsburgh because of Tocchet's ties here.  He's remembered fondly, but it's seemingly all over the place, not just in my area.

I think it's the factors though of a major sports figure and a hot ass chick that are garnering the headlines more than anyone giving a **** if athletes are corrupt or not.

Back to the Stern thing for a moment, I agree with him that any chick being that apseshit with betting and gambling really loses a lot of "hotness" in my eyes.  It isn't "cute" gambling anymore and goes to a whole new level of unattractiveness.  It's like a girl being a little buzzed compared to being a sloppy ass drunk.  Really knocked her down some pegs.
