I don't disagree. It was blatant property-whoring bringing Maul back, but if you could suspend disbelief/disgust enough, it was a well thought out path Maul took in the series - consorting with Talzin and the Mandalorians. It all culminated though in the murder of Satine, the defeat of Pre Vizsla and duel with Savage against Sidious. I loved every minute of it - the animation, the dialogue, the violence.

My thoughts exactly, I just recently went back and re-watched those episodes and they really were among the best the show ever had to offer. Silly idea at its core, but very well-executed.

So..."Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir" adapted screenplays from aborted Clone Wars Season Six, now reportedly coming out in comic form via Dark Horse.

I'm not a fan of Dark Horse in general as a comics publisher, but this is one I would definitely pick up. I just don't want to see them contradict anything from the TV show that has been established to this point. Such as Darth Sidious having plans for Maul. Somehow I don't see those plans involving a prison planet, but meh, whatever.

Apparently there seems to be some disagreement whether these were actually intended as the series finale or just a multi-part arc somewhere in the final season.

Well, this is not going to end well. I have been nervous about this deal for months, primarily because of the amount of time that has passed since I won the original auction for the early bird set on eBay. It is far too late at this point to use negative feedback as leverage or even open a case I am pretty sure. I was just hoping and hoping I was not going to get screwed over somehow.

Lo and behold, I get my package today and it only has 5 figures - the clear alien is conspicuously absent. The guy must have opened the box and removed it because the outside clearly has it listed as part of the case order. #$%^&*()

Anyway, I sent a nice email asking about it but the fact that it wasn't part of the order pretty much tells me he is not going to give it up.

This is a cool line but it's turning out to be just one expensive headache after another. If I have to pick up just that clear alien off eBay I am going to get raped.

Let me know what you find McMetal - I've been holding off picking it up as a result of the original reports that the audio synch was off...

FYI, I just finished watching the last episodes from Season 5 and am happy to report there were no audio synch issues with my copy. Everything looked and sounded great to me. 

What a great season that was, BTW...I can't wait to see the lost episodes/bonus content coming later this year...

Picked up Republic Commando Boss and Aayla Secura who mysteriously popped up at the 5 Below across town among the sea of Anakins and Clone Troopers.

Of all those 2012 figures that keep trickling out, the one I have NEVER seen since is Scuba Ahsoka, that had to have been the rarest figure of the whole Maul packaged line. Even Wolffe and Rex I was able to snag extras of later on, but not her.

Ok, I read through this entire thread last night and could not find the help I needed.

I recently purchased a vintage blue Obi-Wan Kenobi lightsaber off eBay since the tip had broken off my original one. Seller had all positive feedback and clearly stated it was from the original 70's figure.

I got it yesterday and it just doesn't look quite right to me. The color seems a little too crisp for one thing. My original is a lot more faded. The new one also does not have any letters on the hilt either, which bothers me more I think. (My original has an "I" on the hilt)

I have tried the water test and it floats, but apparently so does the revalve-it stuff, so that didn't help much. I also tried bending it and it seems flexible enough. I don't want to mar the piece up, so I am reluctant to scratch it to see if any paint comes off.

Are there any other tests I can try to assess legitimacy?

Does the lack of any lettering on the hilt necessarily mean it is a repro?

Are there any good resources online to help me compare? (I tried imperial gunnery and that jawa site from ealier in this thread, and the RS photo archives, but I can't find any details about hilt letters)

I saw a lone Luminara chilling on the pegs at Target tonight. No signs of any of her wave-mates though.

I went back and bought her after I realized any TBS figures at Target are essentially $5 now. (Thank you 5 Below)
