Vintage Kenner / Re: Latest vintage acquisition

What a great-looking set Rob. The paint apps on all of those are so clean that they look like they could have been made in 2023 as part of the Retro collection. It has been fun to see all of your updates here. I don't have the same level of nostalgia as many here for original Kenner figures or the Droids/Ewoks cartoons since they all came out before I was born, but your posts and watching the old episodes on D+ have made me really want to get into collecting these one day.

It's always bittersweet completing a collection like that. I'm sure you'll find something else to collect next though... ;)

The Wookiee Arcade / Re: Jedi Survivor.

I have two force tears to complete both of them are the ridiculous parkour ones.  I'll get them eventually.

Yup those were the hardest two for me too, they took more than an hour each. It was so frustrating that it takes literally a perfect run with 30+ jumps/boosts/grapples. I really wish they'd have included a checkpoint in those. They were so hard that you almost never got to practice the second half of the run.

I did scare the **** out of my dogs when I finally passed them though... :D

The Wookiee Arcade / Re: Jedi Survivor.

I just wrapped up Survivor last week and completed all of the achievements. Overall I loved the game and the story. It was refreshing to have a huge AAA game that I was able to complete 100% and NOT have it take hundreds of hours. It felt like they did a good job of giving us lots to do, but not so many side quests that it felt like a chore.

I had a few issues with responsiveness with some of the controls (or I am old and just suck now...) that made the Force Tears immensely frustrating to complete. I also had an issue where none of the Bounties worked for me until the patch came out a week or two ago and I had to farm them all at the end, right before wrapping up the main story slightly taking away from the suspense a bit.

I hope Respawn continues making games in this series, even with EA losing exclusivity. DLC for Survivor would be nice, but I'd almost just prefer a sequel.

I got my first set today.  No black brow line.

I’m hoping the running change is to add it and I can just wait a month or two and order a second one to get both versions.

Mine has the black lines on the helmets, Rob.  I bet if you bought another set now it would have the change.

My set from Pulse that I ordered last week just arrived today, I also got the no brow line version. Date stamp is 30321.

It's weird, I still have yet to see the plain white Andor version so this is my first in-person experience with the new clone body. Overall it feels like a bit of a let-down. The body sculpt is GREAT, and I'm really happy with it. The helmet really just kills it. I think it is slightly better in person than the images I've seen, but it is still squished and the paint apps are off. Specific to the 212th set, the paint applications on my helmets is a bit sloppy. I've also noticed that the white doesn't match between the various casted and painted armor pieces.

These sets are a great concept, I just don't think the Hasbro team fully recognizes or understands their army-building potential. Waxer would have made a great repaint on a single card, but he feels like a wasted slot in the set.  If Hasbro had gotten the helmet and deco right here and swapped Waxer for a more generic clone like a 212th airborne trooper (like Matt suggested), a more generic unnamed squad leader, or even just a 4th grunt this set would have been out of the park and I'd have wanted multiples. My old 212th clones are all yellowing and dated. I wouldn't have minded replacing a bunch of them. As is, I'll probably will stick to one set, and maybe pick up a second to try and get the black line variant.

Never fear everyone.  I overpaid for one just now.

So that means it’ll be available at Shop Disney for $15 after the hotel closes.

Thank you for your service Rob. Looking forward to the day the rest of us can get it cheaper.  :P

This isn't a bad-looking droid. I'd be interested if it is available at a regular price.

It sounds like there may be a running change afoot with this set. I've seen pictures of people getting sets with and without the black brow line on the helmets. I definitely would prefer the black-line version, but either way I really wish the helmet sculpt was better on this guy.

I got my shipment last week. I'm digging this one and it feels like one of the better Disney Droid Factory releases. Paint apps on the figure look great. I totally missed him in ROTJ, but I am glad we got him and he might now be one of my favorite astromechs in my collection.

Ed, clearly, the Barge is too much work to move. It sounds very difficult. I'll have to come and take it off your hands for you...  :P :-*

WTF?!

I haven’t even had my Kenner Fett preorder shipped yet.

I’ll keep an eye out and if I see more I can pick one up for you.

I noticed some Targets in the Denver area have the Kenner-Fett marked down to $16.09. I wonder if they’re trying to clear peg space for the comic colored Fetts.

I ran into the same issue in something last year, with both Walmart & Target. It’s immensely frustrating. Sorry to hear that Rob. I just don’t get how companies of that size don’t allow that. Things like this are is part of why I never shop at Walmart outside of exclusive Star Wars purchases.

On topic with the ARC Troopers, I had originally skipped preorders for 2 out of 3 (FOMO got me on the 3rd) and wasn’t planning on buying any of them. I made an impromptu stop at Walmart last week (for maybe the first time in 6 months) and they happened to have 6 Havocs. FOMO got me again and now I just need to get either Colt or Blitz.

I’m very impressed and excited. :)

For some reason I was thinking this was way further out. It’ll be interesting to see how similar the release version is next year. I’m a big Assassin’s Creed fan, but I’m not always thrilled with UbiSoft. They are still going to be an improvement over EA. Hopefully this game ushers in a new era for Star Wars gaming with lots more quality games from a bunch of different studios.

Amazon has the 40th Anniversary Speeder Bike listed at $30.00 and I’ve seen pictures of Walmarts discounting them as well… I of course had just bought another one at full price last week and already opened it.
