It was like 8 fodder figures...  But it was fodder.

That's the paradox of value my friend. :)

how can anyone believe this kind of stuff is all new to scum? this kind of stuff has been happening for a long long time, yet because some JD members happen to overtly exclaim their distaste for the scum, it must be some damn conspiracy of epic proportions.

Exactly...

And it's not like there aren't means to deal with it.  But this isn't the harbor with which these ideas are launched.  Like I said, Vator's a good member here, so that's all that is to be said.

If he's got a beef, he's got a beef...  Like it or hate it, it has nothing to do with here.  And I'm sure he's one of only many who feel they were treated like crap at Scum while there's tons of "problems" there wandering around, posting freely every day...

To me, I go there and ignore them...  I've made a crack now and then, but nothing anyone even reacts to, and nothing insulting.  Otherwise I go watch/participate in what I want, just as I do over here at JD.

Where do I fit?  I go to Scum still to stay active in threads that aren't cluttered with severe internet retardation...  They're few and far between, but I try seeking them out.

:)

I know, I know...  I work here...  I gotta be a JD Terrorist.

Nonetheless though, I think the point's been made, as solid as my last bowel movement, that there's just a LOT of folks who've been PO'd at Scum for one reason or another...  Many of them wind up here, and I'd like to point out that they behave here too mostly (so as not to tarnish them like they're uncontrollable little kids like Lady Jaye seemed to imply with her "send them here" remark)...  This isn't the castaways or something.  Vator's a good, active participant here...

Was he at Scum?  They felt not, but he is here...  He just hates it over there I guess.  They gotta go somewhere though, and that doesn't mean that this site's supporting an "assault" on Scum...  It's a place they can vent if they want since it's likely their venting that got them banned there.

If they wanna do stuff to Scum, as I said, that's Scum's problem to deal with at THEIR site, not here...  No conspiracy, no great investigation.

This thread, when I got to read it after being out this evening, truly is one of the dumbest things I've read in ages...  What it's degenerated into is a level of nerdiness unsurpassed in the history of dorkdome.

Be proud folks.

Thanks man, it's appreciated...

I like to offer a little more of an open-minded opinion as far as "What could they have done...", so I always hope I convey that.  There's benchmarks set by other toy lines...  Hasbro is in competition for the almighty dollar like everyone else, so since I want Star Wars to dominate I think of things I point out as constructive criticism...

Some disagree.

Myself, I could care if some Hasbro employee's offended...  In the end it's his/her job to improve product quality, not have hurt feelings over my words. :)

And let's face it, I praise them when they deserve it...  They do lots right, just not every thing, or as often as they should/could.

The Force File you mean Ook?

I liked the FF's myself...  They're a unique little thing to have a complete set of I think.  Kinda like the Freeze Frames.

Lots of weird EU information and pictures...  Kinda neat, but simplistic.

Definitely one of the better figures of the line...  not sure on the vinty figure.  Since I was a kid I always thought he was asian, but by the card's photo I can't really tell myself.

I'm trying to hold off for stores, but it's seeming less and less likely to be...  may just have to try BBTS.  :-\

The only one who would've lead anything remotely close to that is sadly gone...  Like jjks said though, he'd probably be having the most fun in this thead right now.

The short of it is (and I'm keeping my comments much more brief than I'd originally planned on, for many of you), there's no conspiracy that has anything REMOTELY to do with JD.com as an entity.

If it's members from here, the site and its staff don't have a clue about it...  If they do, I say they need to just come here and be constructive than go there and jerk off RS's staff or generally piss you off Cory, but that's me...  They either A) Don't like you, or B) don't like Rebelscum, or C) don't like either of you...  I'd say that doesn't equate to JACK **** with Jedi Defender as far as responsibility goes though...  Our name shouldn't be uttered then.

There's no brilliant revelations coming from this thread, other than there's a LOT of people here who left (or were forced away) from Rebelscum...  Some want payback maybe?  I don't know, and honestly I don't care, but it's got nothing to do with this site since we'd not allow it or condone it.

My parting words are that if it's that big a deal, handle your business at your site (This is addressed to any Scum Mods who ARE here) and not out in OUR public forum.  And if it's a personal beef at another site, then take it up with their staff at their site...

We've got nothing to do with it, so drop it.

I wrangled a set of these tonight...

Seems to me the $6.99 butt reeming, err, I mean the $6.99 price hike is hurting these new figures because these were put out Monday and there were two full sets of them this evening still at the same store (know a guy who works at the store).

I think they're not as good an Ebay investment now perhaps.

Well, Scott's already got them so I'm not breaking new ground for him...

On Dannik Jerriko, the gaping holes in his face, to me, don't look as bad in person, but they're still unsightly, unnecessary, and I'd say they're generally unwanted.  Not cool..

That said, Dannik's bong holster rocks, and his bong itself is incredibly cool.  His holster holds his blaster snugly I feel (I've heard some complaints the holsters don't hold them, but to me I think the holster's just a tighter fit...  If you push the blaster fits in though).  I love the detail...  Lots of good paint applications here.  The figure could've stood either ball/socket shoulders, or ball/socket elbows...  Ankles wouldn't have hurt either, especially for the $7 hike.  Still he's cool.

Myo's pretty neat and has the best "drinking" pose.  :)  I love that.  His mug looks like his drink has a nice head of foam on it too.  I dig his colors of his space suit...  They included some neat poutch sculpts on his outfit too.  His holster also snuggly holds his blaster, however his hand isn't sculpted so the trigger finger fits his blaster.  That sucks.  Again I think ball/socket shoulders woulda done this figure a lot of positive bonus.

Feltripern (whatever) is neat too.  really nice and coloful, and probably the best headsculpt of the 3.  That's no small feat given that all 3 are nice.  The Gotal's not got a holster though, could use the same articulation the other two could, and his blaster's pretty warped (Run your hot water in the bathroom sink a while, then fill a dixie cup some and drop it in...  It should take its natural shape back...  Word to the wise guys!).  Gotal has a neat drinking pose too, but he can't hold his gun right...  Almost holds it drunk.

Anyway, a mini overview from me...  I'm havin' fun just playign with these right now...  Or, uhm, I mean I'm "posing" them for accurate recreations of Star Wars adventures...  And giggling while I do so.

The figure's neatness makes the $7 reeming less painful...  Some complimentary lube on the shelf might've helped though.

I think had this been the OTHER POTC figures, that I would've only gotten Yarna and Pablo while leaving the rest.  :(  $7's pushing the envelope of what I can justify.  I mean, $23 about, for 3 figures.  Sheesh.   >:(

This one's for a couple of ya...

More soon when I can formulate something a little more clear and maybe even a substantial bit more blunt.

Actually Paul gave up a couple for fodder...  Amazingly.

But I had Saga Lando Gen. and Han AT-ST that I got to help people out that I traded away for one...  "useless" isn't maybe the best word, but useless to me I guess since I don't do carded stuff.

And a VOTC Stormie to boot!  Yay!

Power Team Elite's got some weird stuff hitting overseas right now...

Firemen (seems like removable head gear too), "adventurers" like kayakers, mountain climbers, divers, arctic explorers and other junk...

Kinda neat really.  Their playsets are out too I guess.

Pretty good stuff overall...  PTE's some notches below 21st or BBI, but their accessories generally are "neat" for the most part and they're uber cheap too.

Can't argue with that.

I was out tonight doing some X-Mas shopping.  Not ONE new LOTR figure.  The TRU I was at had the old packaging gollums actually, and not another figure in the store.

I got some stuff for my bro, but nowhere near what all I wanted.  I was hoping for Shelob for the two of us at least, and maybe some of the army builders he's missing like the last Rohan guy, the Isengard Orc, or Shagrat or something...  But nada on the shelves really.
