May 2005 Total:   $138.01 with tax/shipping
June 2005 Total:   $107.56 with tax/shipping

Star Wars: $1498.18
Other:  $107.07

Total = $1605.25

Well, I've now passed my budget of $1500 for the year, and the year is only half over.  I'd like to thank Hasbro for cramming 50 basic figures into a 4 month span causing me to seriously blow my budget.

I was looking at 56 RotS figures for 2005 and now we basically got them by July.   :-\  On the bright side, if you remove the April blip (C3 and Midnight Madnesss expenses), I'm actually stickig to my budget pretty well, so it's not a total loss I guess!

Revenge of the Sith / Re: I don't like action features!
« on: July 8, 2005, 02:03 PM »
I don't like buttons either, but the action features this time around worked very well and I actually like them.

I agree, I thought the action features were much less intrusive this time.  The action features were toned down and the articulation was turned up... always a good thing.   :)

So do we have any real idea what is what yet?  I've tried reading through this thread to catch up (I was gone for a vacation), but I'm still a bit confused about the Chases...

So, a "regular" box of 12 looks like this:

4x Darth Vader
4x Stormtrooper
1x Emperor
1x Hoth Han
1x Bespin Luke
1x Nien Nunb

And the Chases are:
Darth Vader (Dagobah Cave)
Stormtrooper Han
Stormtrooper Luke

And that's all we know so far, yes?  No better info on ratios yet?

In a perfect world, the break down would be something like this:

15:48 Darth Vader
12:48 Stormtrooper
4:48 Emperor
4:48 Hoth Han
4:48 Bespin Luke
4:48 Nien Nunb
2:48 Stormtrooper Han
2:48 Stormtrooper Luke
1:48 Darth Vader (Dagobah Cave)

That way, I can get everything in one Master Case and be done...  ;)

I couldn't find a thread, so I guess I better start one!

Just got a quick payment from Travis for some figures he bought from me.  Super-fast payment is always A+ in my book!   ;)

Your figures will be on their way tomorrow!

A better look at a few more Clone Commanders, courtesy of the Official Site Databank:

Commander Bly

Commander Thire

Commander Neyo

AND, a very interesting nugget from Commander Bly's entry:

"The initial digital model of Bly had red markings, but this was changed to yellow to better suit the Felucia environment. Imagery of the red Bly saw publication and became the basis of a Hasbro action figure, even though a clone trooper with those particular markings did not appear in Episode III. "

So, in a way, we did already get Commander Bly.  ;)

So, does this mean that the Generic #33 "Clone Commander" is now an EU figure because he never appeared in the movie (according to the Official Site)?   :P

I managed to pick up the Wookiee Flyer today at Target ($14.99).

I took a few photos for the front page, clicky on the thumbnails below and enjoy!

Wookiee Flyer - Box Front:

Wookiee Flyer - Box Back:

Wookiee Flyer - Side View:

Wookiee Flyer - Front View:

Wookiee Flyer - Wookiee Warrior Pilot:

Wookiee Flyer - Wookiee Warrior Close-Up:

A few notes:

- The Wookiee Pilot is articulated at the waist and arms only (3 points total) and is a little "rubbery".  I don't mind so much because he has a unique paint deco and we've got 5 other Wookiees already.

- the "flapping" action is OK, but a little clunky

Overall, a nice peice for $15 plus tax.  I like it.   :)

Jeff and Mikey - you guys are both using the same display cases, right?  Remind me what they cost again, and where you find 'em please...

Johnny Lightning Storage Cases, $6.99 each

I haven't seen them at TRU or Target lately, but I haven't really looked lately either.

Miracles of miracles - NEW Force Battlers.

At no less than TWO Target Stores I stopped at tonight, I stumbled across Mace Windu, Clone Trooper and Chewbacca Force Battlers from wave 2.

Maybe there is hope that wave 4 will eventually get released.  I was starting to think all I'd ever see hanging hopelessly on the pegs was the April 2nd stuff.

So, to all of you out there collecting this line (all 3 or 4 of you), new stuff is hitting now!   :P

What is your opinion on Paploo and Wicket?

I read JP back in 91 myself, 15 times. I was 5 sodding years old.

You read "Jurassic Park" by Michael Crichton at age 5?  15 times?

Were all the Berenstain Bears storybooks checked out from the library or something?   :P

I don't need two Jedi Lukes where the only difference is a color change on his lightsaber.

I hear you, I am far more interested in the Chase figures that are "unique" figures than the simple variants.  I love the chases to be like Logray, Carbonite Sickness Han, and Indy instead of just color/accessory variants like the Jawa, Sandtrooper, and Cantina Band.

Yeah, this line has just died.   :-\

They gave us a bunch of cool OT figures last year, but then... eh.

I had to see the RotS wave 2 (kit/mace, r2/droid, chewie/clone) like 4-5 times before I finally broke down and bought them (probably just for the sake of buying something new).

This line had such appeal, but it really has died off somewhat with the introduction of the goofy EU junk.

Why's everyone saying a blue lightsaber for Luke as a chase?.  He never used a blue one in that outfit.  ???

Because the vintage Jedi Luke shipped with both a BLUE and GREEN saber and Medicom LOVES the Vintage Line and quirky things like that.
