I've got a question...

How do you know about shipping from them?  When I placed my order, there was no shipping option to select.  Do they send it EMS if it is over a certain cost or was there a shipping option I missed?   :-\

Just a few things to note...

The Pre-Order expire at site about 2-3 months before the item is due.

For Series 5 it is very soon = 7-19-2005 (ONE WEEK FROM TODAY).  After that, the booking is closed and either they stop taking orders OR the price goes up if they still expect a bit more stock.

I learned about (from the KubrickWorld gang) just a bit too late last time (Series 4 booking closed 3 days after I received my registration confirmation  :'() and I am still a little miffed about missing out on $300 Master Case (after shipping) for Series 4.  The early bird get the worm I guess.  :-\

This time though, I did not miss out.  I placed my order at RoBBy the other day for Series 5.   :)

1) Chase Logray and VC Jawa were 1/48 correct?  That means thatre have not have a 1/24 chase yet like the Stormie Luke and Han.

Again, it's a technical point, but while the Logray and Jawa were both 1:48 in their respective boxes, the average overall ratio for them is 1:96 since you only got one of them in a Master Case and then the Master Cases were evenly split.

In other words, for every set of 48 figures that had a Logray, there was a set of 48 that didn't.  That means that they are really closer to 1:96 rarity.

The same thing kind of goes for the Stormtrooper Twins.  While they are 1/24 in the Master Cases they are in, they are only in 1/2 the cases making them functionally closer to 1:48 chase figures.

As for the price, it's really hard to say, but I think all 3 of the chase will hover around the $90-100 range for quite a bit.

Of course, I'm not a Medicom Offficial so my assumption that the cases are evenly split is just a guess right now.  It could work out that the Stormtrooper Han is only in 1/4 of the cases and Stormtrooper Luke is in 3/4 of the cases and that would throw the math all off...  :-\

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Battle Packs (5 figure sets)
« on: July 11, 2005, 03:51 PM »
1) Hoth Themed - Veers, Probot, and 3 snowtroopers.

2) Jedi Tempe Raid - Anakin (#2), Clone Pilot, and 3 of the blue Clonetroopers

Hmmm... this worries me.  I find it hard to believe that Hasbro would finally start to give us "Army Builder" packs at retail, but then again it does make sense they would screw them up by including Anakin #2 and Clone Pilot.   :P

I guess I'll hold my judgement on the new rumored 5-packs until we (possibly) get confirmation at SDCC.

Wow, congrats!

Guess that's more evidence for the "2x Stormie Chase per Master Case" theory.

Good to see both Stormie Luke and Stormie Han coming from Japan cases, means there is a good chance to find a trading buddy to Swap Chases.  Stormie Han for Stormie Luke should be a pretty safe trade...

Very interesting... a year too late?  Or maybe the rumors of the OTC's return are going to pan out?

Either way, I'm going to pass on this box full of re-packs!

Do we know for sure that the stormtrooper chase (Han or Luke, doesn't matter) is only two per box?
...I'm going to guess that there's more than 2 stormtrooper chase per box.

Well, there was this post:

news for u.. i believe there's a japan/hk variant..

opened a japan master carton..

1st case found 2 luke trooper, 2nd 1 vader/luke, 3rd+4th.. no chases..

no han trooper..

And I also heard the same thing (Stormie Han/Luke = 2 per master case) from my source too...

Most everything I have seen says that in a Master Case you get:

Dagobah Vader = 1/48 (one per Master Case)
Stormtrooper Luke = 2/48 (Two per Master Case)
Stormtrooper Han = 2/48 (Two per Master Case)

The Stormtrooper Han and Luke seem to be an even spilt, not sure if it is a Hong Kong/Japan difference or not just yet.  As for the eBay prices, since you get either Han OR Luke in a Master Case (and not both in one case), that makes them both 2/96 or 1/48.

For example...

Series 4 Master Case (version 1) has:
15:48 Darth Vader
14:48 Stormtrooper
4:48 Emperor
4:48 Hoth Han
4:48 Bespin Luke
4:48 Nien Nunb
2:48 Stormtrooper Luke
1:48 Dagobah Darth Vader

and Series Master Case (version 2) has:
15:48 Darth Vader
14:48 Stormtrooper
4:48 Emperor
4:48 Hoth Han
4:48 Bespin Luke
4:48 Nien Nunb
2:48 Stormtrooper Han
1:48 Dagobah Darth Vader

So, on average (assuming version 1 and version 2 are equally distributed), the Total for two master cases would be=
30:96 Darth Vader (5:16)
28:96 Stormtrooper (7:24)
8:96 Emperor (1:12)
8:96 Hoth Han (1:12)
8:96 Bespin Luke (1:12)
8:96 Nien Nunb (1:12)
2:96 Stormtrooper Han (1:48)
2:96 Stormtrooper Luke (1:48)
2:96 Dagobah Darth Vader (1:48)

If that holds true (all 3 CHASE = 1/48), I would expect to see Stormie Han and Stormie Luke hang around the $90 range for a while...  :-\

I really, really appreciate the repaints. It's a great idea. It's too late to pull this off and make collectors happy. Unless there's better Clone Army cases coming that we don't know about.

I hope that there is a clone-friendly case coming, or maybe the new color Clones will continue to ship with rumored #57-#68 that will be shown at SDCC this week.   ;)

Another great deal with Jesse...

Well, I just heard back from my Kubrick Source...

I was quoted a price of $440 plus shipping for a Master Case of Series 4! ::)

It seems like pretty much even seller is uber-greedy this time around with Vader being involved.   :-\  I guess I won't be using him again for my Series 4... >:(

It's off to plan B to try to get a Master Case...  ;)
